 שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today, we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

Today is February 6th, 2021

February -- month of Februa

Latin dies februatus "day of purification"

Februarius had 28 days, until 450 BC when it had 23 or 24 days on some of every second year, until Julius when it had 29 days on every fourth year and 28 days otherwise.

This month had 27 days until the month was abolished by Julius.

Februa is the Roman festival of purification held on February fifteenth. It is possibly of Sabine origin.

Sabine, member of an ancient Italic tribe located in the mountainous country east of the Tiber River. They were known for their religious practices and beliefs, and several Roman institutions were said to have derived from them.

Yehovah God has His own calendar, which is deleted from the world

We are now in the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat… שְׁבָט Sh’vat, day 23 - Part o Jan. / Feb. 2021

Zech.1 [7] Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat… שְׁבָט Sh’vat

Next Saturday evening starts Adar, the 12 month in the scriptures - We then will read the Book of Esther.

Esth.3 [7] ….the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar = “glorious”   אֲדָר

דָר means to dwell, live

I see by this word Adar, when broken down, can convey a message that the "invisible, glorious God" wants to dwell among us and in us.

In the Book of Esther, the Hebrew the word "Esther" means "star" but the root of the word "Esther" is "satarand means "hidden".

The words, God and Lord do not appear in the book of Esther, they are "hidden or silent".

Purim is coming…

By the way, in case you missed it on Feb. 2, 2021 - Punxsutawney (Pennsylvania) Phil saw his shadow. It's six more weeks of winter  J

Today’s Topic:

Always 2 Paths, 2 Ways, you choose which one

[8] I have set Yehovah always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
[9] Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
[10] For you will not leave my soul in hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption.[11] You will show me the path of life: in your presence is fullness of joy; at your right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

[1] Hear the right, O Yehovah, attend unto my cry, and give ear unto my prayer that goes not out of feigned lips.
[2] Let my sentence come forth from your presence; let your eyes behold the things that are equal.
[3] You have proved mine heart; you have visited me in the night; you have tried me, and shall find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
[4] Concerning the works of men, by the word of your lips I
have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
[5] Hold up my goings in your paths, that my footsteps slip not.

[6] I have called upon you, for you will hear me, O God: incline your ear unto me, and hear my speech.
[7] Show your marvelous loving kindness, O you that save by your right hand them which put their trust in you from those that rise up against them.
[8] Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of your wings,
[9] From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
[10] They are enclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.
[11] They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;
[12] Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.
[13] Arise, O Yehovah, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is your sword:
[14] From men which are your hand, O Yehovah, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly you fills with your hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.
[15] As for me, I will behold your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with your likeness.

[1] The Yehovah is my shepherd; I shall not want / lack.
[2] He makes me to lie down in green pastures: he leads me beside the still waters.
[3] He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
[4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
[5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: you anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.
[6] Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of Yehovah forever.

[1] Unto you, O Yehovah, do I lift up my soul.
[2] O my God, I trust in you: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
[3] Yea, let none that wait on you be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
[4] Show me your ways, O Yehovah; teach me your paths.

[5] Lead me in your truth, and teach me: for you are the God of my salvation; on you do I wait all the day.
[6] Remember, O Yehovah, your tender mercies and your loving kindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
[7] Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to your mercy remember you me for your goodness' sake, O Yehovah.

[8] Good and upright is Yehovah: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
[9] The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
[10] All the paths of Yehovah are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.

[11] For your name's sake, O Yehovah, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
[12] What man is he that fears Yehovah? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
[13] His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
[14] The secret of Yehovah is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant.
[15] Mine eyes are ever toward Yehovah; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
[16] Turn you unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
[17] The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring you me out of my distresses.
[18] Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
[19] Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
[20] O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in you.
[21] Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on you.

[11] Teach me your way, O Yehovah, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

[35] Make me to go in the path of your commandments; for therein do I delight.

[105] Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

[1] O Yehovah, you have searched me, and known me.
[2] You know my down sitting and mine uprising, you understand my thought afar off.
[3] You compass my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

[4] For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Yehovah, you know it altogether.
[5] You have beset me behind and before, and laid your hand upon me.
[6] Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
[7] Whither shall I go from your spirit? Or whither shall I flee from your presence?
[8] If I ascend up into heaven, you are there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, you are there.
[9] If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
[10] Even there shall your hand lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.
[11] If I say, surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
[12] Yea, the darkness hides not from you; but the night shines as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to you.
[13] For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother's womb.
[14] I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.
[15] My substance was not hid from you, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
[16] Your eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in your book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
[17] How precious also are your thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
[18] If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with you.
[19] Surely you will slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, you bloody men.
[20] For they speak against you wickedly, and your enemies take your name in vain.
[21] Do not I hate them, O Yehovah, that hate you? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against you?
[22] I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.
[23] Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
[24] And
see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

[10] My son, if sinners entice you, consent you not.
[11] If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
[12] Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
[13] We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
[14] Cast in your lot among us; let us all have one purse:
[15] My son,
walk not you in the way with them; refrain your foot from their path:
[16] For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
[17] Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
[18] And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
[19] So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which takes away the life of the owners thereof.

[1] My son, if you will receive my words, and hide my commandments with you;
[2] So that you incline your ear unto wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding;
[3] Yea, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding;
[4] If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hid treasures;
[5] Then shall you understand the fear of Yehovah, and find the knowledge of God.

[6] For Yehovah gives wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
[7] He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
[8] He keeps the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of his saints.
[9] Then shall you understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.

[10] When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto your soul;
[11] Discretion shall preserve you, understanding shall keep you:
[12] To deliver you from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaks froward things;
[13] Who leave the paths of uprightness,
to walk in the ways of darkness;
[14] Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
[15] Whose ways are crooked, and
they froward in their paths:
[16] To deliver you from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flatters with her words;
[17] Which forsakes the guide of her youth, and forgets the covenant of her God.
[18] For her house inclines unto death, and her
paths unto the dead.
[19] None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

[20] That you may walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
[21] For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
[22] But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.

[6] In all your ways acknowledge God, and He shall direct your paths.

[13] Happy is the man / woman that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding.
[14] For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver and the gain thereof than fine gold.
[15] She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
[16] Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honor.
[17] Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
[18] She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retains her.

[1] Hear, you children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
[2] For I give you good doctrine, forsake you not my law.
[3] For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
[4] He taught me also, and said unto me, Let your heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
[5] Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
[6] Forsake her not, and she shall preserve you: love her, and she shall keep you.

[7] Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding.
[8] Exalt her, and she shall promote you: she shall bring you to honor, when you dost embrace her.
[9] She shall give to your head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to you.
[10] Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of your life shall be many.
[11] I have taught you in the way of wisdom; I have led you in right paths.

[12] When you go, your steps shall not be straitened; and when you run, you shall not stumble.
[13] Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is your life.

[14] Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men.
[15] Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.
[16] For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.
[17] For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.

[18] But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shins more and more unto the perfect day.

[19] The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.

[20] My son, attend to my words; incline your ear unto my sayings.
[21] Let them not depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart.
[22] For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
[23] Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
[24] Put away from you a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from you.
[25] Let your eyes look right on, and let your eyelids look straight before you.
[26] Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established.
[27] Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove your foot from evil.

[1] My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow your ear to my understanding:
[2] That you may regard discretion, and that your lips may keep knowledge.

[3] For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
[4] But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two edged sword.
[5] Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.

[6] Lest you should ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that you canst not know them.

[7] Hear me now therefore, O you children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
Remove your way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
[9] Lest you give your honor unto others, and your years unto the cruel:
[10] Lest strangers be filled with your wealth; and your labors be in the house of a stranger;
[11] And you mourn at the last, when your flesh and your body are consumed,
[12] And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;
[13] And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!

Prov.7 – Be aware of a woman with the attire of a harlot, and subtil of heart

[25] Let not your heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. [26] For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.[27] Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.

Prov.8 [1] Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?[2] She stands in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

[20] I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: [21] That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

[28] In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.

[1] The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
[2] And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of Yehovah's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
[3] And many people shall go and say, Come you, and let us go up to the mountain of Yehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Yehovah from Jerusalem.

[4] And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

[1] But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of Yehovah shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
[2] And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Yehovah, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of Yehovah from Jerusalem.

The Gospels and letters say it a little different, but the same message:

[24] No man can serve two masters:

for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon

[4] As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of Yehovah, make His paths straight.

[3] The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of Yehovah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

[13] …make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

[13] Enter you in at the strait gate:

for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in there at:

[14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.

So which way are you going?

[4] Show me your ways, O Yehovah; teach me you paths.

[1] I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.

[1] Have mercy upon me, O God, according to you loving kindness: according unto the multitude of you tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
2] Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
3] For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
4] Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in you sight: that you might be justified when you speak, and be clear when you judge.
5] Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
6] Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom.
7] Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
8] Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
9] Hide you face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

[10] Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
11] Cast me not away from you presence; and take not you Holy Spirit from me.
12] Restore unto me the joy of you salvation; and uphold me with you free spirit.

[13] Then will I teach transgressors Your ways; and sinners shall be converted unto you.

[13] Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

[5] Blessed is the man whose strength is in you; in whose heart are the ways of them.

[9] Because you have made Yehovah, which is my refuge, even the most High, your habitation;
10] There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come nigh your dwelling.

[11] For He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways,[12] They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

This happened to Yeshua

[9] And the devil brought Yeshua to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If you be the Son of God, cast yourself down from hence: [10] For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you: [11] And in their hands they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone.[12] And Yeshua answering said unto him, It is said, You shall not tempt Yehovah your God.

[16] You shall not tempt Yehovah your God…

[10] Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known My ways: [11] Unto whom I swore in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

In closing for today

Please remember:

[22] … Hath Yehovah as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Yehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Jer. 7

[22] For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
23] But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk you in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
