Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today, we sadly use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

Today’s date is Nov.19, 2022

November -- the ninth month – now the 11th month

Middle English Novembre
Latin November
Latin Novembris mensis "nineth month"

Novembris had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

The God of Israel has His own Calendar: we are now in the 8th month called:

Bul /Bool,בּוּל  the eighth month

1Kgs.6 [38]… in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, day 23

Don’t call the eighth month Mar Cheshvan or Cheshvan - this is made up in Judaism, a lie

Soon the 9th month, Saturday 26th - Chislev - Zach 7:1 - in English, scripture calls it Chisleu

Some news:

National Retail Federation

WASHINGTON, November 17, 2022 – An estimated 166.3 million people are planning to shop from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday this year, according to the annual survey released today by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics.

This figure is almost 8 million more people than last year and is the highest estimate since NRF began tracking this data in 2017.

NRF forecasts that 2022 retail sales will total between $4.86 trillion and $4.95 trillion.

The numbers exclude automobile dealers, gasoline stations and restaurants.

Non-store and online sales year-over-year, which are included in the total figure, are expected to grow between 11 percent and 13 percent to a range of $1.17 trillion to $1.19 trillion as consumers continue to utilize ecommerce.

NRF expects retail sales to increase in 2022, as consumers are ready to spend and have the resources to do so.”

1Chr.16

[1] So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.

[7] Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank Yehovah into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

[8] Give thanks unto Yehovah, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
[9] Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.
[10] Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Yehovah.
[11] Seek Yehovah and his strength, seek his face continually.
[12] Remember his marvelous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
[13] O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
[14] He is Yehovah our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
[15] Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
[16] Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
[17] And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
[18] Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
[19] When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
[20] And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
[21] He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
[22] Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
[23] Sing unto Yehovah, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.
[24] Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
[25] For great is Yehovah, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
[26] For all the gods of the people are idols: but Yehovah made the heavens.
[27] Glory and honor are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
[28] Give unto Yehovah, ye kindreds of the people, give unto Yehovah glory and strength.
[29] Give unto Yehovah the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship Yehovah in the beauty of holiness.
[30] Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
[31] Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, Yehovah reigns.
[32] Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
[33] Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of Yehovah, because he cometh to judge the earth.
[34] O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good; for his mercy endures forever.
[35] And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.

[36] Blessed be Yehovah God of Israel forever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised Yehovah.

Pss.18

[49] Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, Yehovah, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.

Pss.30

[4] Sing unto Yehovah, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

[12] …Yehovah my God, I will give thanks unto thee forever.

Pss.75

[1] Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

Pss.92

[1] It is a good thing to give thanks unto Yehovah, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

Pss.97

[12] Rejoice in Yehovah, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

Pss.105

[1] O give thanks unto Yehovah; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people.

Pss.106

[1] Praise ye Yehovah. O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

[47] Save us, Yehovah our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.

Pss.118 [1] O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

[29] O give thanks unto Yehovah; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Pss.119

[62] At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Pss.122

[4] Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of Yehovah, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of Yehovah.

Pss.140

[13] Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

Pss.69

[30] I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

[31] This also shall please Yehovah better than an ox or bullock that had horns and hoofs.

Pss.95

[1] O come, let us sing unto Yehovah: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.
[2] Let us come before his presence
with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.
[3] For
Yehovah is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

[4] In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.
[5] The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

[6] O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before Yehovah our maker.
[7] For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.

Pss.100

[1] Make a joyful noise unto Yehovah, all you lands.
[2] Serve
Yehovah with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
[3] Know
you that Yehovah he is God: it is he that had made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
[4] Enter into his gates
with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
[5] For
Yehovah is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.

Pss.107

[1] O give thanks unto Yehovah, for he is good: for his mercy endures forever.
[2] Let the redeemed of
Yehovah say so, whom he had redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
[3] And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
[4] They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in
.
[5] Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
[6
] Then they cried unto Yehovah in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

[7] And he led them forth by the right way that they might go to a city of habitation.
[8] Oh
that men would praise Yehovah for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
[9] For he
satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
[10] Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron;
[11] Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
[12] Therefore he brought down their heart with
labor; they fell down, and there was none to help.
[13] Then they cried unto
Yehovah in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
[14] He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and
brake their bands in sunder.
[15] Oh
that men would praise Yehovah for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
[16] For
he had broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
[17] Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
[18] Their soul
abhors all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
[19] Then they cry unto
Yehovah in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.

[20] He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
[21] Oh
that men would praise Yehovah for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

[22] And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.

[23] They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
[24] These see the works of
Yehovah, and his wonders in the deep.
[25] For he
commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves thereof.
[26] They mount up to the
heaven; they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
[27] They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end.
[28] Then they cry unto
Yehovah in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses.
[29] He
makes the storm a calm so that the waves thereof are still.
[30] Then are they glad because they
be quiet; so he brings them unto their desired haven.
[31] Oh
that men would praise Yehovah for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
[32] Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
[33] He
turns rivers into a wilderness, and the water springs into dry ground;
[34] A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
[35] He
turns the wilderness into standing water, and dry ground into water springs.
[36] And there he
makes the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
[37] And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
[38] He
blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffers not their cattle to decrease.

[39] Again, they are diminished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
[40] He
pours contempt upon princes, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
[41] Yet
sets He the poor on high from affliction, and makes him families like a flock.
[42] The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
[43] Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the
loving kindness of Yehovah.

Pss.116

[1] I love Yehovah, because he had heard my voice and my supplications.
[2] Because he had inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I
live.
[3] The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.
[4] Then called I upon the name of
Yehovah; O Yehovah, I beseech you, deliver my soul.
[5] Gracious is
Yehovah, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.
[6
Yehovah preserves the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.
[7] Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for
Yehovah had dealt bountifully with you.
[8] For you have delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.
[9] I will walk before
Yehovah in the land of the living.
[10] I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted
:
[11] I said in my haste, All men are liars.
[12] What shall I render unto
Yehovah for all his benefits toward me?
[13] I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of
Yehovah.
[14] I will pay my vows unto
Yehovah now in the presence of all his people.
[15] Precious in the sight of
Yehovah is the death of his saints.
[16
Yehovah, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of your handmaid: you have loosed my bonds.
[17] I will offer to you
the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of Yehovah.
[18] I will pay my vows unto
Yehovah now in the presence of all his people,
[19] In the courts of
Yehovah's house, in the midst of you, O Jerusalem. Praise Yah.

Pss.147

[1] Praise Yah: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
[2
Yehovah doth build up Jerusalem: he gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
[3] He
heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
[4] He
tells the number of the stars; he calls them all by their names.
[5] Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
[6
Yehovah lifts up the meek: he casts the wicked down to the ground.
[7] Sing unto
Yehovah with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:
[8] Who covers the heaven with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
[9] He
gives to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
[10] He
delights not in the strength of the horse: he takes not pleasure in the legs of a man.
[11
Yehovah takes pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
[12] Praise Yehovah, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.
[13] For
he had strengthened the bars of thy gates; he had blessed thy children within you.
[14] He
makes peace in thy borders, and fills you with the finest of the wheat.
[15] He
sends forth his commandment upon earth: his word runs very swiftly.
[16] He
gives snow like wool: he scatters the hoarfrost like ashes.

[17] He casts forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?
[18] He
sends out his word, and melts them: he causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
[19] He
shows his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.
[20] He had not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise Yah.

Jonah tells us:

Jonah 2

[1] Then Jonah prayed unto Yehovah his God out of the fish's belly,
[2] And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto
Yehovah, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and you heard my voice.
[3] For you
had cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.
[4] Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.
[5] The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round
about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.
[6] I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me
for ever: yet have you brought up my life from corruption, Yehovah my God.
[7] When my soul fainted within me I remembered
Yehovah: and my prayer came in unto you, into your holy temple.
[8] They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

[9] But I will sacrifice unto you with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of Yehovah.

[10] And Yehovah spoke unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

Phil.4

[6] Be careful for (even for) nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Col.2

[1] For I would that you knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
[2] That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Messiah;
[3] In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
[4] And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.
[5] For though I
be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Messiah.
[6] As you have therefore received
Messiah Yeshua our Lord, so walk you in him:
[7] Rooted and built up in him, and e
stablished in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Rev.7

[1] And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
[2] And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea
,
[3] Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

[4] And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. - 144,000 of all the tribes

[9] After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
[10] And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which
sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

[11] And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

[12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever. Amen.

[13] And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, what are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

[14] And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, these are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

[15] Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sits on the throne shall dwell among them.
[16] They shall hunger no more, neither thirst
anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

[17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Pss.136 [1] O give thanks unto the Yehovah; for he is good: for his mercy endures forever.

הוֹדוּ לַיהוָה כִּי-טוֹב:    כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּו.

[2] O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endures forever.

 הוֹדוּ, לֵאלֹהֵי הָאֱלֹהִים:    כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ.

[3] O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endures forever.

הוֹדוּ, לַאֲדֹנֵי הָאֲדֹנִים:    כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ.

[26] O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endures forever.

הוֹדוּ, לְאֵל הַשָּׁמָיִם:    כִּי לְעוֹלָם חַסְדּוֹ.

Inclosing for today:

It is a good thing to “thank Yehovah” all the time, in every situation or place.

Remember:

Beware of the "false image" of love

Beware of "false feelings and emotions"

These pagan feasts bring on loneliness, depression, suicide and oh yes, debt.

Be safe out there; keep your eyes open if you are around crowds, malls etc…

One last word: we are not against family, turkey, dressing, pies, sports or parades J
