שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today, we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

The date is March 12, 2022 (in the 21 Century)

March -- Mars' month

Middle English March(e)
Anglo-French March(e)
Old English
Martius
Latin
Martius "of Mars"
Latin Marti(s) "Mars" + -us (adj. suffix)
Latin
Martius mensis "month of Mars"

Martius has always had 31 days.

March was the original beginning of the year and the time for the resumption of war.

Mars is the Roman god of warHe is identified with the Greek god Ares.

God has His own Calendar:

We have a leap year, so we are now in the 13th month of God called Adar 2, day 8

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts 13 [15] … after the reading of the law and the prophets…

As Yeshua said it:

Luke 24 [44] And Yeshua said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

the law of Moses (not used by most churches today)

the prophets (not used by most churches today)

The Word of God - Torah, Prophets and Writings

Ta Na K is an acronym for:

T = Torah (law, teachings) - first 5 books of Moses

N = Navieem or prophets (pl. sounds like - Na vi eem)

K = Ke'tuvim or writings (psalms etc.)

Today’s topic:

Belief and unbelief

Yes, it all boils down to whether you believe or not.

This is a very big topic in scripture. I will just go over a few verses.

Gen.15

[1] After these things the word of Yehovah came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward.
[2] And Abram said, Lord Yehovah, what will you give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
[3] And Abram said, Behold, to me you have given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
[4] And, behold, the word of Yehovah came unto him, saying, this shall not be your heir; but he that shall come forth out of your own bowels shall be your heir.
[5] And he brought him forth abroad, and said, look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if you be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall your seed be.
[6] And he believed in Yehovah; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Gal.3

[6] Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Exod.14

[31] And Israel saw that great work which Yehovah did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared Yehovah, and believed Yehovah, and his servant Moses.

Pss.27

[13] I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of Yehovah in the land of the living.

Pss.119

[66] Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed your commandments.

Dan.6 [23] Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

Matt.8

[13] And Yeshua said unto the centurion, Go your way; and as you have believed, so be it done unto you. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

Matt.9

[28] And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Yeshua said unto them, Believe you that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. [29] Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
[30] And their eyes were opened; and Yeshua straightly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

2 Chr.20

[20] …and as they went forth,

Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in Yehovah your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

Matt.18

[6] But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it was better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Mark.1

[15] … the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Mark.9

[23] Yeshua said unto him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.[24] And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help you mine unbelief.

[42] And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

Mark.11

[23] For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he said.[24] Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

John.1

[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made.
[4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
[5] And the light shined in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
[6] There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
[7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
[8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
[9] That was the true Light, which lighten every man that cometh into the world.
[10] He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
[11] He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
[12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
[13] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 2:

[23] Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

John 3

[14] And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
[
15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
[
16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[
17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
[
18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he had not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
[
19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[
20] For every one that doeth evil hates the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[
21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

John 4 [21] Yeshua said unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
[22] Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
[23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him.
[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
[25] The woman said unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Messiah: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
[26] Yeshua said unto her, I that speak unto you am he.

John.5

[24] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him (the Father) that sent me, had everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John.6

[29] Yeshua answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he had sent.

[35] And Yeshua said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst.[36] But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.

[40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which sees the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

[47] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me had everlasting life.

John 7

[38] He that believes on me, as the scripture had said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.[39] (But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Yeshua was not yet glorified.)

John 8

[28] Then said Yeshua unto them, when ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father had taught me, I speak these things.
[29] And he that sent me is with me: the Father had not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
[30] As he spoke these words, many believed on him.
[31] Then said Yeshua to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;[32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 11

[20] … Martha, as soon as she heard that Yeshua was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.
[
21] Then said Martha unto Yeshua, Lord, if you had been here, my brother had not died.
[
22] But I know that even now, whatsoever you will ask of God, God will give it you.
[
23] Yeshua said unto her, your brother shall rise again.
[
24] Martha said unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

[25] Yeshua said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:[26] And whosoever lives and believeth in me shall never die.

Do you believe this?

[27] She said unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

John 12

[36] While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spoke Yeshua, and departed, and did hide himself from them.[37] But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:[38] That the sayings of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, Lord, who had believed our report? And to whom had the arm of Yehovah been revealed?

Isa.53 [1] Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of Yehovah revealed?

[39] Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,[40] He had blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

Isa.6 [10] Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

[41] These things said Isaiah, when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.

[42] Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
[43] For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
[44] Yeshua cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
[45] And he that sees me sees him that sent me.
[46] I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
[47] And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
[48] He that rejects me, and receives not my words, had one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
[49] For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
[50] And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

John.14

[1] Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
[2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
[4] And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

John 17

[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;[21] That they all may be one; as you, Father, art in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Rom.1

[16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Messiah: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Luke 8

[11] Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

[12] Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

[13] They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.

[14] And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

[15] But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Rom.9

[33] As it is written, Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Isa.8 [14] And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Rom.10

[ 4] For Messiah is the end (goal) of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.

[9] That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Yeshua, and shall believe in your heart that God had raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.[11] For the scripture said, Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed.

[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

[14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?

And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?

And how shall they hear without a preacher?

[15] And how shall they preach, except they are sent?

As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that said unto Zion, Thy God reigns!Isa.52 [7] How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that

1Cor.15

[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
[2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Messiah died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
[5] And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
[6] After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
[7] After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
[8] And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
[9] For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
[10] But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
[11] Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

Gal.2

[16] Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Yeshua the Messiah, even we have believed in Yeshua the Messiah, that we might be justified by the faith of Messiah, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

1Thes.4

[14] For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yeshua will God bring with him.

2 Thes. 1

[6] Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
[
7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Yeshua shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
[
8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah:
[
9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
[
10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
[
11] Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
[
12] That the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Tim.3

[16] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Tit.3

[8] This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that you affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Heb.10

[39] But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Heb.11

[6] But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Jas.2

[19] You believe that there is one God; you doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

1 John.5

[1] Whosoever believes that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of God: and every one that loves him that begat loves him also that is begotten of him.
[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
[4] For whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that over comes the world, even our faith.
[5] Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Yeshua is the Son of God?
[6] This is he that came by water and blood, even Yeshua the Messiah; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.
[7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
[8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
[9] If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he had testified of his Son.
[10] He that believeth on the Son of God had the witness in himself: he that believeth not God had made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
[11] And this is the record that God had given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
[12] He that had the Son had life; and he that had not the Son of God had not life.

In closing for today:

John 6

[69]…we believe and are sure that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Son (Word) of the living God.

1 John.3

[23] And this is his commandment that we should believe on the name of his Son Yeshua the Messiah, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
