Shabbat Shalom

 שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

Today is December 12, 2020 in the 21th century

December -- the tenth month - now it is the 12th month

Middle English decembre
Old French
december "tenth month"
decem "ten" + -ber (adj. suffix)

December had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Yehovah God has His own calendar, which is deleted from the world

We are now in the 9th month of God called Kislev / Chislev - day 26

Zech.7 [1] And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of Yehovah  came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu \ Chislev \ Kislev  כִסְלֵו

Next week starts the tenth month, Tevet

[16] So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.  טֵבֵת

Beware, the false holidays are here!

Tis the season to be pagan” is all around us again!

Xmas is a made-up holiday

Beware of the "false image" of love or loneliness

Beware of "false feelings and emotions"

These made-up feasts bring on loneliness, depression, suicide and oh yes, debt.

Always remember: Embellished made-up stories are still lies!

I know most of the world is getting ready to do the made up holidays Chanukah and Christmas.

I get so many emails about these made up holidays each day.

Another year goes by and a new generation of the youth is deceived with lies.

Today’s Topic

Dividing the light from the darkness,

in our lives

Another short study for a short day…

Light and darkness is a theme used all through the Scriptures

Here are a few instances of this:

[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

[5] And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.

[16] And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
17] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
[18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

In Exodus we read:

[19] …the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
20] And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.

Micah says:

[5] Trust you not in a friend; put you not confidence in a guide: keep the doors of your mouth from her that lies in your bosom.
6] For the son dishonored the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

[7] Therefore I will look unto Yehovah; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

[8] Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, Yehovah shall be a light unto me.

Yeshua says:

[12] Now when Yeshua had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;
[13] And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

[14] That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying,
[15] The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

[1] Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.
The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them had the light shined.

[17] From that time Yeshua began to preach, and to say,
Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matt. 6

[22] The light of the body is the eye: if therefore your eye be single, your whole body shall be full of light.
But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness.

If therefore the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness!

Again, in Luke.11

[34] The light of the body is the eye: therefore when your eye is single, your whole body also is full of light; but when your eye is evil, your body also is full of darkness.

[35] Take heed therefore that the light which is in you be not darkness.

[36] If your whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give you light.

Luke 1 - John the Baptist

[67] And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,
[68] Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he had visited and redeemed his people,
[69] And had raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
[70] As he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:
[71] That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
[72] To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
[73] The oath which he swore to our father Abraham,
[74] That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
[75] In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

[76] And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Highest: for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
[77] To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
[78] Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high had visited us,
] To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

John 12:

[35] Then Yeshua said unto them, yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walks in darkness knows not whither he goes.

[36] While you have light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light.

These things spoke Yeshua, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

[46] I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

[47] And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
[48] He that rejects me, and receives not my words, had one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

[49] For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
[50] And I know that His commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.

Paul / Saul says,

[11] And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

[12] The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

[13] Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

[14] But put you on the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

[5] Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

[6] For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, had shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Yeshua the Messiah.

[14] Be you not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship had righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion had light with darkness?
15] And what concord had Messiah with Belial? or what part had he that believeth with an infidel?
16] And what agreement had the temple of God with idols?

For you are the temple of the living God; as God had said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be you separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18] And will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

Acts 26 - Paul telling King Agrippa his vision

[16]… rise, and stand upon your feet: for I have appeared unto you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto you;
17] Delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send you,
18] To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

19] Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
[20] But showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

[8] For you were sometimes darkness, but now are you light in the Lord: walk as children of light: [9] For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;

[9] (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
10] Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

[11] And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12] For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

[13] But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
14] Wherefore He says, awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Messiah shall give you light.

[15] See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16] Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17] Wherefore be you not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18] And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19] Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20] Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah;
21] Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

[4] …you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

[5] You are all the children of light, and the children of the day:

 We are not of the night, nor of darkness.

[6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

[7] For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
8] But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

[9] For God had not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Yeshua the Messiah,

[10] Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep (are dead), we should live together with Him.

[11] Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also you do.

David says:

2 Sam.22

[29] For you are my lamp, O Yehovah: and Yehovah will lighten my darkness.

[4] Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Solomon says:

[17] He that speaks truth shows forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

[12] And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what can the man do that cometh after the king, even that which had been already done.

[13] Then I saw that wisdom excels folly, as far as light excels darkness. [14] The wise man's eyes are in his head; but the fool walks in darkness:

Peter says:

[9] But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who had called you out of darkness into His marvelous light: [10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

John says:

[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2] The same was in the beginning with God.
3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5] And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

1 John 2

[8] Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shines.

[9] He that says he is in the light, and hates his brother or sister, is in darkness even until now.

[10] He that loves his brother or sister abides in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

[11] But he that hates his brother or sister is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and knows not whither he goes because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1 John 1

[1] That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

[2] (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and show unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

[3] That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Yeshua the Messiah.

[4] And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

[5] This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
[6] If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
[7] But
if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yeshua the Messiah his Son cleanest us from all sin.

1 John.4

[6] We are of God: he that knows God hears us; he that is not of God hears not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error

Saul tell the Ephesians,

[10] Finally, my brothers and sister, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11] Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints…

Inclosing for now,

As you can see, Light and darkness is a theme used all through the Scriptures by these few instances.

We have to be truthful and watch against falseness

And remember:

Beware of the "false image" of love or loneliness

Beware of "false feelings and emotions"

These made-up feasts bring on loneliness, depression, suicide and oh yes, debt.

Once Upon A Time, Christmas was banned, outlawed in 1647 under English rule, (called America now) but now it producing $766.7 billion in sales…

Always remember: Embellished made-up stories are still lies!

2 Cor.13 [11] modified –

 And finally again,

Brothers and sisters farewell for now, and be well.

Be perfect,

Be of good comfort,

Be of one mind,

Live in peace;

and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
