Eternal Fire?

In this study, the Scriptures will prove that the Lord's way is equal and just. Also we will learn that, "It is written" , we compare scripture with scripture. We do not commend ourselves : 2Cor.10 [12 ] For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves : but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise . We will use the WORD of GOD for all things.

Deut.8[ 1] All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers.[ 2] And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.[3 ] And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Matt.4[ 4] But he answered and said, It is written , Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Luke.4[ 4] And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written , That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Pss.12[ 6] The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.[7] Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Prov.30[ 5] Every word of God is pure:

2Tim.3[ 16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God , and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:[17 ] That the man of God may be perfect , throughly furnished unto all good works.

Deut.18[ 13] Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.

Matt.5[ 48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When did you believe, repent, turn, confess, forsake your sins? What are you saved from?

Prov.28 [13] He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

John.8 [11]... Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more .

John.5[ 14] Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee

Just balances, the way of the Lord is equal

Lev.19[ 36] Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin , shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

Prov.11[ 1] A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight .

Prov.16[ 11] A just weight and balance are the LORD's: all the weights of the bag are his work.

Prov.20[23] Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good.

Read Ezek. 3, 18, 33 - The way of the Lord is equal.

Ezek.18[ 25] Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal ? are not your ways unequal?

[29] Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal . O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

Ezek.33[ 17] Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal : but as for them, their way is not equal.

[20] Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal . O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one after his ways.

Isa.28[9 ] Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
[
10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:[ 11] For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.[12 ] To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing : yet they would not hear .[13 ] But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.[ 14] Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.[ 15] Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
[
16] Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make

2Tim.2[ 15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth . ( making straight )

John.5[ 39] Search the scriptures;...........

Acts.17[ 10] And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews. [11 ] These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Deut.30 [11] For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.[12] It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?[13] Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?[14] But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.[15] See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

Rom.10[1 ] Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved . [2] For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.[ 3] For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.[ 4] For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.[5] For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.[6] But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)[7] Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;[ 9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.[ 10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.[ 12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Eph.2[ 8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Rom.10[14 ] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?[15 ] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things![16 ] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
[
17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Dan.12 [2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

John.5[ 29] And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Jude.1[6] And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Jude.1 [13] Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Isa.33[14] The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings ?

Rev.14 [11] And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Rev.20 [7] And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, [8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.[9] And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.[10] And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

2Pet.2[17] These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

the resurrection

John.11[ 25] Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:[26] And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.Believest thou this?

Job.14[ 12] So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. [13] O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me![14] If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

John.6[ 39] And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day . [40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life : and I will raise him up at the last day.

[44] No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day .

[54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day .

John.11[ 24] Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

1Cor.15[ 42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:[ 43] It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:[ 44] It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.[45] And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.[46] Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.[47] The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.[ 48] As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.[49] And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.[ 50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.[51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,[ 52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.[ 53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.[ 54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1Thes.4[ 13] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
[
15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. ( to come before, precede ) [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:[ 17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Luke.12[ 4] And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.[5] But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Matt.10 [28] And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matt.5[ 22] But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire .

Isa.1[28 ] And the destruction of the transgressors and of the sinners shall be together, and they that forsake the LORD shall be consumed.[ 29] For they shall be ashamed of the oaks which ye have desired, and ye shall be confounded for the gardens that ye have chosen.[30] For ye shall be as an oak whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.[ 31] And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.

Isa.66[ 24] And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die , neither shall their fire be quenched ; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Mark.9[ 43] And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell , into the fire that never shall be quenched: [ 44] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. [ 45] And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell , into the fire that never shall be quenched: [46 ] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched .[47] And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire : [48] Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

Yes, we are compared to a Worm. Here are the other scriptures besides the ones above:

Job.25 [3 ] Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?[4] How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?[5] Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight .[6] How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

Pss.22 [6] But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

Isa.41 [14] Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

--------

Matt.18[ 8] Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire .[9 ] And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

Luke.16[ 19] There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:[20] And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,[ 21] And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.[22] And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;[23] And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments , and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.[ 24] And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.[ 25] But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented .( equal balance ) [26 ] And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.[27 ] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:[28 ] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
[29] Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.[ 30] And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.[ 31] And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Matt.25[ 31] When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
[
32] And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:[33 ] And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

[34] Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world :[35] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:[36 ] Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.[37 ] Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?[ 38] When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?[39 ] Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?[40] And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

[41] Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand , Depart from me, ye cursed , into everlasting fire , prepared for the devil and his angels :[42] For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:[ 43] I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.[44] Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?[ 45] Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.[46 ] And these shall go away into everlasting punishment : but the righteous into life eternal . The way of the Lord is equal.

2Pet.2[ 9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished :

Rom.5[ 9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Matt.8[ 12] But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matt.22[ 13] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matt.24[ 51] And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matt.25[ 30] And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Luke.13[ 28] There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

the fear of the Lord

Heb.12[ 21] And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

Pss.119[ 120] My flesh trembleth for fear of thee ; and I am afraid of thy judgments.

2Cor.5[ 11] Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord , we persuade men;

Ecclesiastes 12[ 13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.[14] For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
