Good and Evil - טוֹב וָרָע

Rev.12 [7] And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,[8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Gen.2
[9] And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. עֵץ הַדַּעַת טוֹב וָרָע

[17 ] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Gen.3 [ 5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

[22] And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Rom.6

[4]... we also should walk in "newness of life" ( in God )

[5 ] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

[11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

[12 ] Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

[13] Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

[14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.[ 15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the "law", but under grace? God forbid.

What law is this?

Heb.7 [ 11] If therefore perfection were by the "Levitical priesthood" , (for under it the people received the "law",) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?[12 ] For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

What law is this?

Heb.9:[11 ] But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
[
12] Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
[
13] For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
[14] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
[15] And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Rom.6

[16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

[19] I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Rom.7

[14] For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
[
15] For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
[
16] If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
[
17] Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
[18] For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
[
19] For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
[
20] Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

"many laws"

( 1 ) a law warring against the

( 2 ) law of my mind, bringing me into captivity to the

( 3 ) law of sin

( 4 ) I delight in the law of God

[21] I find then a "law", that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

[22] For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

[23] But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

[24] O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
[
25] I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Rom.8

[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

"more laws"

[2 ] For the "law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus" hath made me free from the "law of sin and death".
[3] For what the "law" could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

What law is this?

Heb.7[ 23] And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

( weak through the flesh, men die ) [24] But this man, because He, Yeshua continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.[ 25] Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.[26] For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;[27] Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's:

for this He, Yeshua did once, when He offered up Himself.

Rom.8
[4] That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
[5] For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.[6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.[7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
[8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
[9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

[13] For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die:

but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

We are at War

Eph.2[ 2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph.6[ 10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[
11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[
14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[
15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[
16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[
17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
[
18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Rev.12 [ 17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

2Cor.11 [ 13] For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.[ 14] And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.[15] Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Judg.9 [ 23] Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:

[15 ] And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubleth thee. [13] Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.

[15] And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? [16 ] And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

Pss.78[ 49] He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.
