 שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today, we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

It is January 23, 2021 in the 21th century

January - Janus's month

Middle English Januarie
Januarius "of Janus"
Janu(s) "Janus" + -arius "ary (pertaining to)"
Januarius mensis "month of Janus" L

Janus is the Roman god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions. His festival month is January. Januarius had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Yehovah God has His own calendar, which is deleted from the world

We are now in the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat… שְׁבָט Sh’vat

Zech.1 [7] Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat… שְׁבָט Sh’vat,  day 9 - Part o Jan. / Feb. 2021

Say to say, there is a whole lot of hate going on in the world today L

I know most people would like to hear a message about the word “love”, however here we go…

Today’s Topic:

Hate can go a few ways

There are many ways the word “hate” is used in scripture, here are only a few:

[3] You shall have no other gods before me.
4] You shall not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5] You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them: for I Yehovah your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me;
6] And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

[17] You shall not hate thy brother in your heart: you shall in any wise rebuke your neighbor, and not suffer sin upon him.

Sad to say, David had may people that hated him

God hates - [5] The foolish shall not stand in Your sight God: You, God hate all workers of iniquity.

[13] Have mercy upon me, Yehovah; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, you that lift me up from the gates of death: [14] That I may show forth all your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in your salvation.

[5] Yehovah tries the righteous: but the wicked and him that loves violence His soul hates.

[17] He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

[40] You have also given me the necks of my enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.

[8] Thine hand shall find out all your enemies: your right hand shall find out those that hate you.

[19] consider my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.

[5] I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

[6] I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in Yehovah.

[21] Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

[19] Let not them that are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

[1] The transgression of the wicked says within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.
[2] For he flatters himself in his own eyes,
until his iniquity be found to be hateful.
[3] The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.[4] He devises mischief upon his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he abhors not evil.

[19] But my enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

[7] All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.

[7] But you have saved us from our enemies, and have put them to shame that hated us.

[10] You make us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.

[7] You love righteousness, and hate wickedness: therefore God, your God, hath anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.

[16]… unto the wicked God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes, or that you should take my covenant in your mouth?[17] Seeing you hate instruction, and cast my words behind you.

[18] When you saw a thief, then you consent with him, and have been partaker with adulterers.
[19] You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frame deceit.
[20] You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.
[21] These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before your eyes.
[22] Now consider this, you that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
[23] Whoso offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.

[3] Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.

[12] For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

[1] Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

[2] As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

[4] They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: they that would destroy me, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

[14] Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.

[2] For, lo, your enemies make a tumult: and they that hate you have lifted up the head.

[17] Show me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because you, Yehovah, have helped me, and comforted me.

[23] And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

[10] Ye that love Yehovah, hate evil: he preserve the souls of his saints; he deliveres them out of the hand of the wicked.

[3] I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

[10] …He, God saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

[41] And he God gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.

[7] Yehovah takes my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

[104] Through Your precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

[113] I hate vain thoughts: but your law do I love.

[128] Therefore I esteem all your precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

[163] I hate and abhor lying: but your law do I love.

[6] My soul hath long dwelt with him that hates peace. [7] I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.

[5] Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

[21] Do not I hate them, Yehovah, that hate you? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against you?

[22] I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them my enemies.

[22] How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

[28] Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
[29] For that
they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of Yehovah:
[30] They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
[31] Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
[32] For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
[33] But whoso hearkens unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

[1] My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow your ear to my understanding:
[2] That you may regard discretion, and that your lips may keep knowledge.
[3] For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
[4] But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two edged sword.
[5] Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.
[6] Lest you should ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that you canst not know them.
[7] Hear me now therefore, O you children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.
[8] Remove your way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:
[9] Lest you give your honor unto others, and your years unto the cruel:
[10] Lest strangers be filled with your wealth; and your labors be in the house of a stranger;
[11] And you mourn at the last, when your flesh and your body are consumed,
[12] they say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; [13] And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined my ear to them that instructed me! [14] I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.

[16] These six things doth Yehovah hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him:

[17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
[18] An heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
[19] A false witness that speaks lies, and he that sows discord among brethren.

[13] The fear of Yehovah is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

[36] … he that sins against Me wrongs his own soul: all they that hate Me love death.

[8] Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate you: rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.

[15] He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hates surety ship is sure.

[1] Whoso loves instruction loves knowledge: but he that hates reproof is brutish.

[5] A righteous man hates lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.

[24] He that spares his rod hates his son: but he that loves him chastens him betimes.

[17] He that is soon angry deals foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

[20] The poor is hated even of his own neighbor: but the rich hath many friends.

[10] Correction is grievous unto him that forsakes the way: and he that hates reproof shall die.

[27] He that is greedy of gain troubles his own house; but he that hates gifts shall live.

[7] All the brethren of the poor do hate him: how much more do his friends go far from him? He pursues them with words, yet they are wanting to him.

[17] Withdraw your foot from your neighbor’s house; lest he be weary of you, and so hate you.

[24] He that hates dissembles with his lips, and lays up deceit within him;[25] When he speaks fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.

[28] A lying tongue hates those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth works ruin.

[16] The prince that wants understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hates covetousness shall prolong his days.

[10] The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

[24] Whoso is partner with a thief hates his own soul: he hears cursing, and bewrays (reveals) it not.

[1] To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

A time to be born, and

A time to die;

A time to plant, and

A time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and

A time to heal;

A time to break down, and

A time to build up;
A time to weep, and

A time to laugh;

A time to mourn, and

A time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and

A time to gather stones together;

A time to embrace, and

A time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and

A time to lose;

A time to keep, and

A time to cast away;
A time to rend, and

A time to sew;

A time to keep silence, and

A time to speak;
A time to love, and

A time to hate;

A time of war, and

A time of peace.

The hated Yeshua , the Prophets, the Apostles… all people of God

Yeshua said:

[22] And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved.

[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

1 John 3

[13] Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hates you.

[15] Whosoever hates his brother or sister is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

[43] You have heard that it hath been said; you shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.

[44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; [45] That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
46] For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans the same?
47] And if ye salute your brethren only, what do you more than others? Do not even the publicans so?
48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

In closing for today:

This is just a sampling of how the way the word “hate” is used in scripture…

So all I can say is:  You that love Yehovah, hate evil… and I do…
