Shabbat Shalom

  God has His own calendar

We are now in the 1st Month of God, ha Aviv / Nisan, 3rd day

God's New Year is in the Spring – Happy New Year

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory, from the 1500’s

Today is March 20th, 2010

According to the Gregorian calendar, today is first day of Spring

--------------------

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, sins, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

 Amen

I explain the Sabbath each week

This is how simple it is:

Exod. 20

[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done:

but

the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;

ye shall do no work therein:

it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

--------

Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him,

1 - not doing thine own ways,

2 - nor finding thine own pleasure,

3 - nor speaking thine own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

------------------------

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

------------------------

Question:

So why are we here today?

Answer:

We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy

----------

The 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Today's Topic:

"He wants to dwell among us and in us"

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried

Ezra. 6 [20] For the priests and the Levites were purified together, all of them were pure, and killed the passover for all the children of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.

Neh. 12 [30] And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

Dan. 12 [10] Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

1 Pet. 1 [22] Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: [23] Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.[24] For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth way:[25] But the word of Yehovah endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Rev. 7 [14] And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

"He will dwell among us, in us"

ëÀáåÉã éÀäåÈä - Glory of Yehovah

"Tabernacle, temple and sanctuary"

On New Year, the tabernacle of the tent was set up

Let us start this New Year setting up a place in our hearts and lives for Yehovah

Exod. 40 [1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

[2] On the first day of the first month áÌÀéåÉí-äÇçÉãÆùÑ äÈøÄàùÑåÉï, áÌÀàÆçÈã ìÇçÉãÆùÑ shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.  îÄùÑÀëÌÇï àÉäÆì îåÉòÅã

[3] And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail.
[4] And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.
[5] And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.
[6] And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
[7] And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.
[8] And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.
[9] And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.
[10] And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.
[11] And thou shalt anoint the laver and his foot, and sanctify it.
[12] And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
[13] And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
[14] And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:
[15] And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
[16] Thus did Moses: according to all that Yehovah commanded him, so did he.

[17] And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.

[18] And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.
[19] And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as Yehovah commanded Moses.
[20] And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:
[21] And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as Yehovah commanded Moses.
[22] And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the vail.
[23] And he set the bread in order upon it before Yehovah; as Yehovah had commanded Moses.
[24] And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
[25] And he lighted the lamps before Yehovah; as Yehovah commanded Moses.
[26] And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation before the vail:
[27] And he burnt sweet incense thereon; as Yehovah commanded Moses.
[28] And he set up the hanging at the door of the tabernacle.
[29] And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the meat offering; as Yehovah commanded Moses.
[30] And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash withal.
[31] And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat:
[32] When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as Yehovah commanded Moses.
[33] And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.

[34] Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of Yehovah filled the tabernacle.

[35] And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of Yehovah

ëÀáåÉã éÀäåÈä filled the tabernacle.

[36] And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:
[37] But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
[38] For the cloud of Yehovah was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
--------------------------------------

Num. 35 [34] Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I Yehovah dwell among the children of Israel.

1 Kgs. 6 [13] And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

Pss. 68 [17] The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: Yehovah is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

[18] Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that Yehovah God might dwell among them.

Rev. 7 [13] And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

[14] And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

[15] Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

[16] They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

[17] For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Rev. 21 [3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

Zech. 13 [9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Mal. 3 [2] But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap: [3] And he shall sit as a refiner and purifer of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

------------------------------------

He (God) shall be for a sanctuary for us

Exod. 25 [8] And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

Pss. 68 [24] They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

Pss. 77 [13] Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?

Pss. 78 [54] And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased.

[69] And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established for ever.

Pss. 96 [6] Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

Pss. 102 [19] For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did Yehovah behold the earth;

Isa. 8 [14] And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

People pollute God’s sanctuary

Ezek. 44

[7] … ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations.

[8] And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.

[9] Thus saith Yehovah GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

---------------

Exod. 29 [45] And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God. [46] And they shall know that I am Yehovah their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt that I may dwell among them: I am Yehovah their God.

The body is known as the tabernacle

2 Pet. 1 [13] Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; [14] Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Yeshua the Messiah hath shewed me.

----------------------

We are the temple of God

I will dwell in them, and walk in them

Some people pollute God’s sanctuary

1 Cor. 3 [16] Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? [17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

2 Cor. 6 [14] Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
[15] And what concord hath Messiah with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

[16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols?

for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

[17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith Yehovah, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
[18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith Yehovah Almighty.

Rev. 21 [22] And I saw no temple therein: for Yehovah God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

Borrowing from your brother or sister is a different story and is allowed.

Thou shalt lend unto many nations (the heathen), and thou shalt not borrow.

Deut. 28 [1] And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of Yehovah thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that Yehovah thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
[2] And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of Yehovah thy God.
[3] Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
[4] Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
[5] Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
[6] Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
[7] Yehovah shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
[8] Yehovah shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which Yehovah thy God giveth thee.
[9] Yehovah shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of Yehovah thy God, and walk in his ways.
[10] And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of Yehovah; and they shall be afraid of thee.
[11] And Yehovah shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which Yehovah sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

[12] Yehovah shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

[13] And Yehovah shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of Yehovah thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

[14] And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
[15] But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of Yehovah thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
[16] Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.
[17] Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
[18] Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
[19] Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
[20] Yehovah shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
[21] Yehovah shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.
[22] Yehovah shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.
[23] And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
[24] Yehovah shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
[25] Yehovah shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
[26] And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
[27] Yehovah will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.
[28] Yehovah shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:
[29] And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
[30] Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
[31] Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
[32] Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.
[33] The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway:
[34] So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
[35] Yehovah shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head.
[36] Yehovah shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
[37] And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither Yehovah shall lead thee.
[38] Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
[39] Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them.
[40] Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.
[41] Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.
[42] All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.

[43] The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low.

[44] He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.

(These curses)

[45] Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of Yehovah thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:

[46] And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
[47] Because thou servedst not Yehovah thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
[48] Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which Yehovah shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.
[49] Yehovah shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;
[50] A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young:
[51] And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
[52] And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which Yehovah thy God hath given thee.
[53] And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which Yehovah thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee:
[54] So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:
[55] So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.
[56] The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter,
[57] And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates.
[58] If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, YEHOVAH THY GOD;
[59] Then Yehovah will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance.
[60] Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee.
[61] Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will Yehovah bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
[62] And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of Yehovah thy God.
[63] And it shall come to pass, that as Yehovah rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so Yehovah will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.
[64] And Yehovah shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.
[65] And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but Yehovah shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind:
[66] And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
[67] In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
[68] And Yehovah shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
---------------

Neh. 5 [1] And there was a great cry of the people and of their wives against their brethren the Jews.

[2] For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live. (Very sad)

[3] Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.

[4] There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, and that upon our lands and vineyards.

Pss. 37 [21] The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

---------------

Prov. 22 [7] The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

---------------

Prov. 22 [26] Be not thou one of them that strike hands, or of them that are sureties for debts

[27] If thou hast nothing to pay, why should he take away thy bed from under thee?

The way we were brought up, (without the God of Israel) makes this another hard study to understand and receive.

Again, let us start this New Year setting up a place in our hearts and lives for Yehovah purifying our souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit
