Shabbat Shalom

We are now in the 8th month - the month Bul

 Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007 , at evening is the New Moon- 8th month called Bul ( pronounced Bool, "rain" )

1 Kgs.6 [38] And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

( part of October & November )

Judaism calls this month Cheshvan or Marheshvan. This is not in the Hebrew Scriptures.

Colossians 2:16: Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday ( not holiday ) , or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17: Which are a shadow of "things to come"; ( future tense ) but the body is of Messiah / Christ.

Sabbath, the 7th day

Why we read from law and the prophets every Sabbath. ( Saturday )

60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath!

Acts.13[13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.[14] But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.[15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

Acts.15[21] For Moses of old time ( The Torah ) hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Luke.4[16] And he, Yeshua / Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.[17] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.

Acts.13:27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

Acts.13[42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

[44]And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Colossians, chapter 3:16: Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

2 Peter, chapter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Rom.12 [ 2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We read all these chapters today:

New Moon

1 Samuel 20:5 And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even.

18 Then Jonathan said to David, To morrow is the new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy seat will be empty.

24 So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat meat.

2 Kings 4:23 And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.

Psalms 81:3 Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

Isaiah 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Ezekiel 46:1 Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.

6 And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish.

Amos 8:5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit

eighth month

1 Kings 6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it.

1 Kings 12:32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places which he had made.

33 So he offered upon the altar which he had made in Bethel the fifteenth day of the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart; and ordained a feast unto the children of Israel: and he offered upon the altar, and burnt incense.

1 Chronicles 27:11 The eighth captain for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zarhites: and in his course were twenty and four thousand.

Zechariah 1:1 In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

Lev.23[ 2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, îåÉòÂãÅé éÀäåÈä which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts . îåÉòÂãÈé

The Spring Feasts of the Lord were fulfilled by the Messiah's first coming!

Passover - Pesach - When did Yeshua - Jesus die?

Nisan 14 - Yeshua died on Thursday at 3:00 pm Matt:27:45 - 1st. day

Remembering the deliverance from Egyptian bondage. An unblemished firstborn male lamb was sacrificed and its blood poured on the altar. A lamb was selected for each family, and four days before the lamb was to be slain it was brought into the home for a four-day examination period. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb who died for our sins. On Nisan 14 at the exact time the lamb was to be slain, Jesus was slain. Jesus also had a four-day examination period before the religious leaders and was found without blemish. Yeshua / Jesus had his meal with his disciples in the night, ( begining of the 14th ), died on the 14th in the daytime hours and put in the tomb all before the the 15th, which is a sabbath.

Feast of Unleavened Bread / Hag HaMatzah

Nisan 15 - a Sabbath - 1st. night- 2nd day (Fri.)

Leaven symbolizes sin. Unleavened Bread speaks of sanctification. God told the Jews to cleanse all leaven from their homes and eat only unleavened bread, matzah, for seven days, symbolizing a holy walk with Him. Jesus is the "Bread of Life" without sin. Born in Bethlehem. In Hebrew, Bethlehem means house of bread. Just as matzah is unleavened, ( sign of no sin ) so was the Messiah sinless.

Nisan 16 - a Sabbath - 2nd. night - 3nd. day (Sat.)

Day of Firstfruits / Bikkurim

Nisan 17 - 3rd. night,

Nisan 17 then as the sun did rise - Mark 16:2

early the first day of the week, Sunday -Yeshua rose from the Dead which is 3 days and 3 nights later

The first of the barley harvest was brought as an offering to the priest in the Tabernacle/Temple. The priest would present the first of the harvest unto the Lord by waving them back and forth. This reminded the Hebrews that God gave them the land, and the harvest belonged to Him. 1 Cor. 15:20-23). Jesus' resurrection marked the beginning of the harvest of souls. John 12:23-24,32 shows Jesus was likened to a grain of wheat falling to the ground and dying to produce a great harvest. Jesus arose on Firstfruits.

Fifty day later:

Feast of Weeks/Shavuot- Pentecost where the Holy Spirit empowered the believers.

---------

The "fall feast" and holy convocations represent the Second Coming of the Messiah.

The fall Feasts of the Lord are in the "7th month called Ethanim not Tishri".

1Kgs.8 [2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

Blowing of the Trumpets
Lev.23:[24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

Day of atonement
[27] Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

Feast of tabernacles
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. [39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. [41] And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

[37] These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations

---------

We need to educate all people about who should participate in God's feasts

Exod.12[ 48] And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land : for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

Deut.10[ 16] Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart , and be no more stiffnecked.

Deut.30[ 6] And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Jer.4[ 4] Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Ezek.44[ 7] In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary , to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations. [8 ] And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.[ 9] Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh , shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

2Cor.7[ 1] Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit , perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

---------

We need to educate all people about who was the new covenant given to?

Jer.31 31] Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel , and with the house of Judah :[32 ] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:[ 33] But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel ; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.[34] And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more .

Heb.8[ 7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. ( covenant ) [8 ] For finding fault with them, ( the people ) he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:[ 9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord .[10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:[11 ] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.[12 ] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more .[13 ] In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

We need to educate all people about what is the new covenant.

Heb.8[ 8] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
[9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
[10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

The "church - ekklesia "

The "church" did not start in the book of Acts, as stated by many pastors.

This means no Protestant Church, denominational or non-denominational were started in the Book of Acts. ( before 70 AD )

The Judaism of today started in approx. 200 AD to 500 AD when the Talmud was put together.

Catholics started approx. 325, 350 AD

Protestants started approx. from 1500 AD

-----

Acts 7:38 This is he ( Moses ), that was in the "church ( ekklesia ) in the wilderness" with the angel ( Messiah ) which spake to him in the mount Sina , and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

[24] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

[25] Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

[26] And hath made of "one blood all nations of men" for to dwell on all the face of the earth , and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

[27] That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

[28] For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Ecc. 3 [19 ] For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.

Gentiles ye are no more strangers and foreigners , but fellowcitizens with the saints

Eph.3 [ 6] That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body , and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel :

Eph. 2 [19 ] Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners , but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
[20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
[21] In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
[22] In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Eph.4 [4 ] There is one body, and one Spirit , even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
[5] One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
[6] One
God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Gal.3[ 28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Rom.12[ 4] For as we have many members in one body , and all members have not the same office: [ 5] So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

1Cor.6[ 16] What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.

1Cor.10[ 16] The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break , is it not the communion of the body of Christ?[ 17] For we being many are one bread ., and one body : for we are all partakers of that one bread .

1Cor.12[ 12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. [ 13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free ; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit

Deut.6[ 4] Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD :

Mark.12[ 29] And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord :

Gal.3[ 20] Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one .

Mal.2[ 10] Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?

Mark.12[ 32] And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God ; and there is none other but he:

Rom.3[ 30] Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

The Jews by faith must believe that Yeshua/Jesus is the atonement spoken of in the Torah, Prophets, and Psalms.

The Gentiles had to, through faith, learn through the Torah, Prophets, and Psalms that the atonement for their sins was the Messiah, Yeshua, who also died for their sins.

1Cor.8[ 5] For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) [6] But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
