Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today, we sadly use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

The date is Nov.5, 2022

November -- the nineth month – now the 11th month

Middle English Novembre
Latin November
Latin Novembris mensis "nineth month"

Novembris had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

The God of Israel has His own Calendar: we are now in the 8th month called:

Bul /Bool,בּוּל  the eighth month

1Kgs.6 [38]… in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, day 9

Don’t call the eighth month Mar Cheshvan or Cheshvan - this is made up in Judaism, a lie

Today’s Topic:

Our Generations

Gen.2

[1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
[2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

[4] These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Yehovah God made the earth and the heavens,
[5] And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew:

Gen.5

[1] This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
[2] Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
[3] And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
[4] And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
[5] And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

Gen.6 [9] These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Gen.9[12] … God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: [13] I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
[14] And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
[15] And
I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
[16] And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
[17] And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

Gen.10 [1] Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.

[32] These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.

Gen.11

[10] These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood: [11] And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.

[27] Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

Gen.25

[12] Now these are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham's son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah's handmaid, bare unto Abraham:

[13] And these are the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; and Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

[19] And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:

[20] And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.
[21] And Isaac entreated the Yehovah for his wife, because she was barren: and the Yehovah was entreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

[22] And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to inquire of the Yehovah.
[23] And the Yehovah said unto her, two nations are in thy womb, and two manners of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.
[24] And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold, there were twins in her womb.
[25] And the first came out red, all over like a hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
[26] And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

Gen.36

[1] Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
[2] Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
[3] And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.

Gen.37

[1] And Jacob dwelt in the land wherein his father was a stranger, in the land of Canaan.
[2] These are
the generations of Jacob.

Joseph, being seventeen years old, was feeding the flock with his brethren; and the lad was with the sons of Bilhah, and with the sons of Zilpah, his father's wives: and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.

Gen.50

[23]…. Joseph saw Ephraim's children of the third generation: the children also of Machir the son Manasseh were brought up upon Joseph's knees.

Exod.1

[6] And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

Exod.3

[13] And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers had sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them?
[14] And God said unto Moses,
I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, I AM had sent me unto you.

[15] And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shall you say unto the children of Israel, Yehovah God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, had sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.

Exod.6

[16] And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi were an hundred thirty and seven years.
[
17] The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.
[
18] And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years.
[
19] And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi according to their generations.
[
20] And Amram took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and thirty and seven years.

Exod.31

[13] Speak you also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily My Sabbaths you shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am Yehovah that doth sanctify you.

[14] Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
[15] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to Yehovah: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout
their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
[17] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Num.3

[1] These also are the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that the Yehovah spoke with Moses in mount Sinai.
[2] And these are the names of the sons of Aaron; Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
[3] These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests which were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.
[4] And Nadab and Abihu died before the Yehovah, when they offered strange fire before the Yehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the sight of Aaron their father.

Num.32

[13] And Yehovah’s anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of Yehovah, was consumed.

Lev.3

[17] It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that you eat neither fat nor blood.

Ruth.4

[18] Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,

[19] And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,
[20] And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,
[21] And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
[22] And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

Esth.9

[26] Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,
[27] The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;

[28] And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed

[29] Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.
[30] And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,
[31] To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed, according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.
[32] And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book
.

Pss.33 [11] The counsel of the Yehovah stands for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

Pss.45 [17] I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise you forever and ever.

Pss.49 [11] Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue forever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

Pss.72 [5] They shall fear you as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.

Pss.79 [13] So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give you thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

Pss.85 [5] Wilt you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out thine anger to all generations?

Pss.89 [1] I will sing of the mercies of the Yehovah for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

[4] Thy seed will I establish forever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

Pss.90 [1] Yehovah, you hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

Pss.100 [5] For Yehovah his good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.

Pss.102 [12]… You, O Yehovah, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.

[24] I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: your years are throughout all generations.

Pss.106 [31] And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.

Pss.119 [90] Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: you hast established the earth, and it abideth.

Pss.135 [13] Your name, O Yehovah, endures for ever; and thy memorial, O Yehovah, throughout all generations.

Pss.145 [13] Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.

Pss.146 [10] Yehovah shall reign forever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise Yah.

Prov.27 [24] For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?

Prov.30

[11] There is a generation that curses their father, and doth not bless their mother.[12] There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.[13] There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up.[14] There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

Ecc.1 [1] The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
[2] Vanity of vanities, said the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
[3] What profit had a man of all his labor which he takes under the sun?

[4] One generation passes away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abides forever, it seems…. J

[11] There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

Ecc. 3

[1] To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

[2] A time to be born, and

a time to die;

a time to plant, and

a time to pluck up that which is planted;
[3] A time to kill, and

a time to heal;

a time to break down, and

a time to build up;
[4] A time to weep, and

a time to laugh;

a time to mourn, and

a time to dance;
[5] A time to cast away stones, and

a time to gather stones together;

a time to embrace, and

a time to refrain from embracing;
[6] A time to get, and

a time to lose;

a time to keep, and

a time to cast away;
[7] A time to rend, and

a time to sew;

a time to keep silence, and

a time to speak;
[8] A time to love, and

a time to hate;

a time of war, and

a time of peace.

Ecc.9

[12] For man also knows not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falls suddenly upon them.

Isa. 51

[7] Hearken unto me, you that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear you not the reproach of men, neither be you afraid of their revilings.
[8] For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool:
but my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

Prov.10

[7] The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.

Ecc.9

[5] For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

Lam.5

[19] You, O Yehovah, remain forever; Your throne from generation to generation.

Dan.4 [1] Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
[2] I thought it good to show the signs and wonders that the high God had wrought toward me.
[3] How great are his signs! And how mighty are his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation.

[34] And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him that lives forever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

[35] And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, what are you doing?

[36] At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honor and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.

[37] Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment:

and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

Inclosing for today:

It is a good thing to “thank Yehovahall the time, in every situation or place.

From a song we have: “Time”:

Time has no boundaries, time never sleeps

Use every day fully; ponder the path of your feet

Remember when you are gone, time marches on

God’s time has no end, He sees things different then you and me.

Live day by day, keep your mind on eternity.

Pray to keep your soul pure and free

And…..

You are still going to meet the Lord.

Only what you do for the Lord will last…matters…. J
