Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today, we sadly use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

Today’s date is Dec. 10, 2022

December -- the tenth month – now the 12th month

Middle English decembre
Old French
decembre
Latin
december "tenth month"
Latin
decem "ten" + -ber (adj. suffix)

December had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

The God of Israel has His own Calendar: we are now in the 9th month of God, Chislev in Hebrew   כִסְלֵֽו - in English, it is called Chisleu - day 15

Zechariah 7:1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of Yehovah came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu

Today’s Topic:

Read, Hear, Keep God’s words

Come and hear the words of Yehovah your God:

Deut.4

[1] Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which Yehovah your God of your fathers gives you.

[2] You shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish ought from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yehovah your God which I command you.

[3] Your eyes have seen what Yehovah did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, Yehovah your God had destroyed them from among you.

[4] But you that did cleave unto Yehovah your God are alive every one of you this day.

[5] Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as Yehovah my God commanded me, that you should do so in the land whither you go to possess it.

[6] Keep therefore and do them;

for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

[7] For what nation is there so great, who had God so nigh unto them, as Yehovah our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

[8] And what nation is there so great, that had statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

[9] Only take heed to yourself, and keep your soul diligently,

Lest (in fear that) you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life:

but teach them your sons, and your sons' sons; (daughters also)

[10] Specially the day that you stood before Yehovah your God in Horeb, when Yehovah said unto me, Gather me the people together, and

I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

[11] And you came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

[12] And Yehovah spoke unto you out of the midst of the fire: you heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only you heard a voice.

[13] And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

[14] And Yehovah commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might do them in the land whither you go over to possess it.

[15] Take you therefore good heed unto yourselves; for you saw no manner of similitude on the day that Yehovah spake unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:

[16] Lest (in fear that) you corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,

[17] The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flies in the air,

[18] The likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

[19] And lest (in fear that) you lift up your eyes unto heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which Yehovah your God had divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

[20] … Yehovah had taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as you are this day.

[23] Take heed unto yourselves, lest
(in fear that) you forget the covenant of Yehovah your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of anything, which Yehovah your God had forbidden you.

[24] For Yehovah your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

[25] When you shall beget children, and children's children, and you shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of anything, and shall do evil in the sight of Yehovah your God, to provoke him to anger:

[26] I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you go over Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

[27] And Yehovah shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither Yehovah shall lead you.

[28] And there you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

[29] But if from thence you shall seek Yehovah your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

[30] When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come upon you, even in the latter days, if you turn to Yehovah your God, and shall be obedient unto his voice;

[31] (For Yehovah your God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore unto them.

[32] For, which were before you, since the day that God ask now of the days that are past created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there had been any such thing as this great thing is, or had been heard like it?
[33] Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and live?

[34] Or had God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

[35] Unto you it was showed, that you might know that Yehovah he is God; there is none else beside him.

[36] Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: and upon earth he showed you his great fire; and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

[37] And because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought you out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;
[38] To drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you are, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

[39] Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, that Yehovah he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

[40] You shall keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command you this day, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days upon the earth, which Yehovah your God gives you, forever.

Jer.11 [10] They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

Jer.19 [15] Thus said Yehovah of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it,

because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.

Yeshua said:

John 12

[47] And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

[48] He that rejects me, and receives not my words, had one that judges him:

the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Amos 5

[23] Take away from me the noise of your songs; for I will not hear the melody of your viols.

Mal.2 [2] If you will not hear, and if you will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, said the Yehovah of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because you do not lay it to heart

Yeshua said:

John 10

[1] Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that enters not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

[2] But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

[3] To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.

[4] And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

[5] And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

[6] This parable spoke Yeshua unto them:

but they understood not what things they were which he spoke unto them.

[7] Then said Yeshua unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

[8] All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

[9] I am the door: by me if any man enters in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

[10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

[11] I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

[12] But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep.
[13]
The hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep.

[14] I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

[15] As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

[16] And other sheep I have,

which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

[17] Therefore does my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

[18] No man takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

[24] Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, how long do you make us to doubt?

If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.

[25] Yeshua answered them, I told you, and you believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

[26] But you believe not, because you are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

[27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

[28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

[29] My Father which gave them me is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

[30] I and my Father are one.

1 John 2

[15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.

If any person loves the world, the love of the Father is not in them.

[16] For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

[17] And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of God abides forever.

[18] Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that antichrist shall come,

even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

[19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

[20] But you have a unction from the Holy One, and you know all things.

[21] I have not written unto you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

[22] Who is a liar but he that denies that Yeshua is the Messiah?

He is antichrist that denies the Father and the Son.

[23] Whosoever denies the Son, the same had not the Father…

[24] Let that therefore abide in you, which you have heard from the beginning.

If that which you have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, you also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

[25] And this is the promise that he had promised us, even eternal life.

[26] These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

[27] But the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it had taught you, you shall abide in him.

[28] And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

[29] If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one that does righteousness is born of him.

Deut.6

[25]… it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before Yehovah our God, as he had commanded us.

2 John 1

[7] For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Yeshua the Messiah is come in the flesh (of Israel). This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

1 John 4

[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of God:

because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

[2] Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Yeshua the Messiah is come in the flesh (and is God in the flesh) (the flesh of Israel) is of God:

[3] And every spirit that confesses not that Yeshua the Messiah is come in the flesh (and is God in the flesh) (the flesh of Israel) is not of God:

and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

[4] You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than
he (Satan) that is in the world.

[5] They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world hears them.

[6] We are of God: he that knows God hears us;

he that is not of God hears not us.

Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

In closing for today,

Luke 11

[28] … blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Rev.1

[3] Blessed is he that reads and they that hear the words of this prophecy,

and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Read, Hear, Keep

Remember:

Beware of the spirit of error

Beware of the "false image" of love.

Beware of "false feelings and emotions".

These pagan made up feasts, bring on loneliness, depression, suicide and oh yes, great debt.

Be safe out there; keep your eyes open if you are around crowds, malls etc…

As John had said:

I have not written unto you because you know not the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
