August 11th, 2007 - the 5th month of God, 27th day

( There are no names for the 4th, 5th and and 6th months in scripture )

-------------------

Judaism calls this month "AV" , not a good thing.

The name is Babylonian in origin and appeared in the Talmud around the 3rd century. This name is not in the Scriptures

--------

We are here today because it is The Lord's Sabbath, a sign and the 4th Commandment of God

60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath!

Acts 13 [13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.[14] But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.[15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

Acts 15 [21] For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Luke 4 [16] And he, Yeshua / Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.[17] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.

Acts 13:27 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

Acts 13 [42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
[44]And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Judaism calls this month Elul. We can not verify this by the Hebrew Scriptures.

We will be in the 6th month. No name in scripture. ( end of August / September ).

This is the only verse in scripture with the name Elul: Nehemiah 6:15 So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul , in fifty and two days. ( does not say the sixth month )

Colossians 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 - Which are a shadow of things to come; but ( and, moreover ) the body is of Messiah / Christ.

G1161 δε de - deh - A primary particle ; but, and, etc.: - also, and, but, moreover, now [often unexpressed in English].

------------------------------------

Below are the chapters we will read Tuesday night, Lord willing:

Ezekiel 8:1 And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month , as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.

Haggai 1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month , came the word of the LORD by

Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

Haggai 1:15 In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.

Luke 1:26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

I see Judaism trying to hide Messiah Yeshua.....

Last night we read the Parshah ( Portion ): Re'eh ( behold, see! ) Verses: ( Deut. ) Devarim 11:26-16:17 Is. 54:11-55:5

Last week we read EKEV (as a result) Dt. 7:12-11:25, Is. 49:14-51:3

What happened to the suffering servant scriptures, Isa. 52 and especially Isa. 53?

Judaism left them out to hide the Messiah Yeshua, dont't be tricked!

Today's Topic:

Do you remember your first love?

Rev.2 [4] Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love .

Rev.3 [19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Luke.6 [46] And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Matt.10 [37] He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. ( or wife, husband, or whatever... )

Luke.14 [26] If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple . [27] And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

[33] So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple .

Rom.8 [28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

[35] Who shall separate us from the love of Messiah /Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

[36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
[37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
[39] Nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature , shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Ten Commandments

Matt.22 [37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment.[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Mark.12 [30] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. [31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

The First Commandment above takes in the first four commandments and explains how you should you LOVE GOD.

The Second commandment above takes in the other six commandments and explains how you should LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR.

----------------

Deut.6 [5] And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Deut.10 [12] And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, [13] To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

Deut.11 [1] Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.

[13] And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, [12] A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
[13] And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
[14] That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil.
[15] And I will send grass in thy fields for thy cattle, that thou mayest eat and be full.
[16] Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;
[17] And then the LORD's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye perish quickly from off the good land which the LORD giveth you.
[18] Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.
[19] And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
[20] And thou shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
[21] That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD sware unto your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the earth.
[22] For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;
[23] Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
[24] Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
[25] There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
[26] Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
[27] A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
[28] And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Deut.13 [1] If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,[2] And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;[3] Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deut.19 [9] If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

Deut.30 [6] And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

[16] In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

[20] That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Josh.22 [5] But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Josh.23 [11] Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your God.

Judg.5 [31] So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

-------------

1 John.4 [19] We love him, because he first loved us.[20] If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?[21] And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Matt.6 [24] No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Luke.10 [27] And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

John.3 [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

[19] And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

[35] The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

John.8 [42] Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

John.10 [17] Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

John.12 [25] He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

John.13 [1] Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world , he loved them unto the end.

[34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John.14 [15] If ye love me, keep my commandments.

[21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

[23] Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

[24] He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

[28] Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

[31] But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

John.15

[9] As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

[10] If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

[12] This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. [13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. [14] Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

[17] These things I command you, that ye love one another.

John.16 [27] For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

John.17

[1] These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
[2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
[3] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
[4] I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
[5] And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
[6] I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
[7] Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
[8] For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
[9] I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
[10] And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
[11] And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
[12] While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
[13] And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
[14] I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
[15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
[16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
[17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
[18] As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
[19] And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
[21] That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
[22] And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
[23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
[24] Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
[25] O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
[26] And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

John.13 [34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. [35] By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Rom.13 [8] Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. [9] For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [10] Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

1Cor. 2 [9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

1Cor.8 [3] But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

Jude 1 [21] Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Rev.12 [11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

[17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah - Jesus Christ.

1Cor.16 [22] If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

Anathema αναθεμα an-ath'-em-ah - excommunicated (thing or person): - accursed, curse

Maranatha μαραν αθα mar'-an ath'-ah - Of Chaldee origin (meaning our Lord has come); that is, an exclamation of the approaching divine judgment
