Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today is March 14, 2020

March - Mars' month

Middle English March(e)
Anglo-French March(e)
Old English Martius
Latin Martius "
of Mars"
Latin Marti(s) "
Mars" + -us (adj. suffix)
Latin Martius mensis "
month of Mars"

Martius has always had 31 days

We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar:

We are now in the 12th month, which is the month Adar  אֲדָר  – day 18

Esth.3 [7] … to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar

אֲדָר Adar - to become glorious, make honorable; a cloak, mantle, “hidden”

I can see by this word Adar, when broken down, it can convey a message that the invisible God wants to dwell among us and in us.

Today’s Topic:

A time and a place to prepare

Sabbath and the building of a Tabernacle (our bodies)

[22] But if you shall indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto your enemies, and an adversary unto your adversaries.
[23] For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.

Exodus 31

Sabbath described again

[12] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[13] Speak you also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths you shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am
Yehovah that doth sanctify you.

[14] Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

[15] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to Yehovah: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

[17] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

[18] And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon Mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

Exodus 32 - a great sin

[31] And Moses returned unto Yehovah, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.
[32] Yet now, if you will forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of your book which you hast written.
[33] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
[34] Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.
[35] And Yehovah plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

Time to offer willingly, from our “hearts”

Exod. 35

[5] Take you from among you an offering unto Yehovah: whosoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, an offering of Yehovah; gold, and silver, and brass,

[21] And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought Yehovah's offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

[22] And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered an offering of gold unto Yehovah.

[29] The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto Yehovah, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which Yehovah had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

The statutes and unto the judgments

Deut.4

[1] Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which Yehovah God of your fathers gives you.

[2] You shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall you diminish ought from it, that you may keep the commandments of Yehovah your God which I command you.

[3] Your eyes have seen what Yehovah did because of Baal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, Yehovah your God hath destroyed them from among you.

[4] But you that did cleave unto Yehovah your God are alive every one of you this day.

[5] Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as Yehovah my God commanded me, that you should do so in the land whither you go to possess it.

[6] Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

[7] For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as Yehovah our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

[8] And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

[9] Only take heed to thyself, and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life: but teach them your sons, and your sons' sons;[10] Specially the day that you stood before Yehovah your God in Horeb, when Yehovah said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.

[11] And you came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness.

[12] And Yehovah spoke unto you out of the midst of the fire: you heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only you heard a voice.

[13] And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even Ten Commandments; and He wrote them upon two tables of stone.

[14] And Yehovah commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might do them in the land whither you go over to possess it.

[15] Take you therefore good heed unto yourselves; for you saw no manner of similitude on the day that Yehovah spoke unto you in Horeb out of the midst of the fire:
[16] Lest you corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
[17] The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,
[18] The likeness of anything that creeps on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:
[19] And lest you lift up your eyes unto heaven, and when you see the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, should be driven to worship them, and serve them, which Yehovah your God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

[20] But Yehovah hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as you are this day.

[21] Furthermore Yehovah was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good land, which Yehovah your God giveth thee for an inheritance:
[22] But I must die in this land, I must not go over Jordan: but you shall go over, and possess that good land.

[23] Take heed unto yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of Yehovah your God, which he made with you, and make you a graven image, or the likeness of anything, which Yehovah your God hath forbidden thee.

[24] For Yehovah your God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.

[25] When you shall beget children, and children's children, and you shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of anything, and shall do evil in the sight of Yehovah your God, to provoke him to anger:
[26] I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that you shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto you go over Jordan to possess it; you shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
[27] And Yehovah shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither Yehovah shall lead you.

[28] And there you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

[29] But if from thence you shall seek Yehovah your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

[30] When you art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if you turn to Yehovah your God, and shall be obedient unto his voice;
[31] (For Yehovah your God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he sware unto them.

[32] For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?

[33] Did ever people hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you hast heard, and live?

[34] Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Yehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

[35] Unto thee it was showed, that you might know that Yehovah he is God; there is none else beside him.

[36] Out of heaven he made thee to hear His voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he showed thee his great fire; and you heardt his words out of the midst of the fire.

[37] And because he loved your fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out in his sight with his mighty power out of Egypt;
[38] To drive out nations from before you greater and mightier than you are, to bring thee in, to give thee their land for an inheritance, as it is this day.

[39] Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, that Yehovah he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

[40] You shall keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with your children after thee, and that you may prolong your days upon the earth, which Yehovah your God gives thee, forever.

Watch - The Heart

Deut. 5 [29] O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever!

Jer. 17 [9] The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Prov. 4 [23] Keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Ezek. 20 [15] Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands; [16] Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

Lam. 2 [6] And He hath violently taken away His tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed His places of the assembly:  Yehovah hath caused the solemn feasts and Sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of His anger the king and the priest.

Mark. 12 Yeshua said - [30] And you shall love Yehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength: this is the first commandment.

Heart, soul, mind, strength

Mark 7 [16] If any man / woman have ears to hear, let them hear.

[17] And when He, Yeshua was entered into the house from the people, His disciples asked him concerning the parable.

[18] And He said unto them, Are you so without understanding also?

Do you not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

[19] Because it enters not into his heart, but into the belly, and gos out into the draught, purging all meats?

[20] And he said, that which cometh out of the man, that defiles the man.

[21] For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,[22] Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

[23] All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Same message at the end

Matt. 24

[42] Watch therefore:

for you know not what hour your Lord doth come.

[43] But know this that if the Goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

[44] Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes.

[45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

[46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

[47] Verily I say unto you, that he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

[48] But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming;
[49] And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
[50] The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,[51] And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Let's offer willingly from the heart

Let's Keep the Sabbath and our Tabernacle (where our heart is) Holy!

Eph. 2

[19] Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

[20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Yeshua the Messiah himself being the chief corner stone;

[21] In whom all the building fitly framed together grows unto an holy temple in Yehovah:
[22] In whom you also are build together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

1 Pet. 2 [5] Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Yeshua the Messiah.

1 Cor. 3 [16] Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? [17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

2 Cor. 6 [16] … what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for you  are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Sabbath lives on…

Isa. 66

[1] Thus saith Yehovah,

The heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool: where is the house that you build unto Me, and where is the place of My rest?

[2] For all those things hath Mine hand made, and those things have been, saith Yehovah:

But

to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at my word.

[15] For, behold, Yehovah will come with fire, and with His chariots like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire.

[16] For by fire and by His sword will Yehovah plead with all flesh: and the slain of Yehovah shall be many.

[17] They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith Yehovah.

[18] For I know their works and their thoughts:

It shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

[19] And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

[20] And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto Yehovah out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith Yehovah, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of Yehovah.

[21] And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith Yehovah.
[22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says Yehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.

[23] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all (incorruptible) flesh come to worship before me, saith Yehovah.

[24] And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against Me:

for their worm (soul) shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Yeshua the Messiah quotes Isa. 66

Mark 9

[43] And if your hand offends thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

[44] Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

[45] And if your foot offends thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

[46] Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

[47] And if your eye offends thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

[48] Where their worm dies not, and the fire is not quenched.

Man described as a worm before God. Here are the scriptures:

Job 25 [6] How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

Psalm 22 [6] But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

Isa. 41 [14] Fear not, you worm Jacob, and you men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Yehovah, and your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.

In closing for now, as always:

Watch your hearts

Keep all the commandments, statutes, judgments; observe all the testimonies (good and bad for our admonition, lessons)

Keep the building of our Tabernacle (our bodies) holy

Keep the weekly 7th day Sabbath

Keep all the 7 Sabbaths and 3 feasts

James 4 [13] Go to now, you that say,

Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:

[14] Whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow.

For what is your life?

It is even a vapor that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.

[15] For that you ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

[16] But now you rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

[17] Therefore to him / her that
knows to do good, and does it not, to him / her it is sin.

If the Lord will, we will meet again my brothers and sisters

Shabbat Shalom
