A few verses:
Jer.17 [9] The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately
wicked: who can know it?
[10] I Yehovah
search the heart,
I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to
the fruit of his doings.
Hos.4 [11]
Whoredom and wine and new wine take away the heart.
Ezek.44[7]
In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart,
and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary, to pollute it, even my
house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my
covenant because of all your abominations. [8] And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye
have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.[9] Thus saith Yehovah GOD; No stranger,
uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my
sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.
A few Proverbs and
Psalms:
Pss.7 [9] Oh let the
wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the
righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
Pss.19 [8] The statutes of Yehovah are right,
rejoicing the heart: the commandment of Yehovah
is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Pss.44 [21] Shall not God search this out? for
he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
Pss.45 [5] Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's
enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
Pss.64 [6] They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent
search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is
deep.
Pss.104 [15] And wine
that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to
make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth
man's heart.
Pss.105 [3] Glory ye
in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Yehovah.
Prov.10 [20] The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart
of the wicked is little worth.
Prov.12 [20] Deceit is
in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellers
of peace is joy.
[23] A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
[25] Heaviness in the heart
of man maketh it stoop: but a good word maketh it glad.
Prov.13 [12] Hope
deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the
desire cometh, it is a tree of life.
Prov.14[10] The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not
intermeddle with his joy.
[13] Even in laughter the
heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness.
[33] Wisdom resteth
in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the
midst of fools is made known.
Prov.15 [7] The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart
of the foolish doeth not so.
[11] Hell and destruction are
before Yehovah: how much more then the hearts
of the children of men?
[13] A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the
heart the spirit is broken.
[14] The heart of him
that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the
mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
[28] The heart of the
righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the
wicked poureth out evil things.
[30] The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
Prov.16 [1] The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer
of the tongue, is from Yehovah.
[23] The heart of the
wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth
learning to his lips.

for silver, and the furnace for gold: but Yehovah trieth the hearts.
Prov.18 [12] Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and
before honour is humility.
[15] The heart of the
prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
Prov.20 [5] Counsel in
the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw
it out.
Prov.21[2] Every way of a man
is right in his own eyes: but Yehovah pondereth the hearts.
Prov.22 [15]
Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction
shall drive it far from him.
Prov.24 [1] Be not thou envious
against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
[2] For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
[11] If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death,
and those that are ready to be slain; [12] If
thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that
pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth
not he know it? and shall not he render to every man
according to his works?
[23] These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to
have respect of persons in judgment.
[24] He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the
people curse, nations shall abhor him:
[25] But to them that
rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.
Prov.25 [1] These are also proverbs of Solomon, which the
men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied out.[2] It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. [3] The
heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is
unsearchable.
Prov.26 [23]
Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver
dross. [24] He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth
up deceit within him; [25] When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in
his heart.
[26] Whose hatred is
covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed
before the whole congregation.
Prov.27 [9] Ointment
and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend
by hearty counsel.[19] As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
11] My son,
be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.
[19] As in water
face answereth to face, so the heart of man to
man.
Yeshua said:
Matt.5
[8] Blessed are the
pure in heart: for they shall see God.
[27] Ye have heard that it was said by
them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28]
and I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman
to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matt.6
[19] Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth
and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
[20] But lay up for
yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and
where thieves do not break through nor steal:
[21] For where your treasure is,
there will your heart be also.
[22] The light of the
body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single,
thy whole body shall be full of light.
[23] But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of
darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that
darkness!
Matt.11
[28] Come unto me, all ye that labor
and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
[29] Take my yoke upon
you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find
rest unto your souls.
[30] For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light.
Matt.12
[34] O generation of
vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for
out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
[35] A good man out
of the good treasure of the heart bringeth
forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth
forth evil things. [36] But I say unto you, That
every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the
day of judgment.
[37] For by thy words
thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matt.15 [7] Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias
prophesy of you, saying,
[8] This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from
me.
[9] But in vain they
do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
[17] Do not ye yet understand,
that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
[18] But those things
which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the
man.
[19] For out of the
heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false
witness, blasphemies:
[20] These are the
things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen
hands defileth not a man.
Luke.6 [45]
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of
the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that
which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
1John.3[19]
And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts
before him.[20] For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than
our heart, and knoweth all things.[21]
Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward
God.
In closing
for now:
Be patient; stablish
your hearts: for the coming of Yehovah
draweth nigh.
see that ye love one another with a pure heart
fervently – Amen
