The first fruits - Back to Lev.23
 And Yehovah
spoke unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When you be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest unto the priest:
And he shall wave the sheaf before Yehovah, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.
And you shall offer that day when you wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto Yehovah.
And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto Yehovah for a sweet savor: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
And you shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that you have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete:
Even unto the morrow after the
seventh sabbath shall you
number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.
Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto Yehovah.
Next Saturday is the first Sabbath to count
Messiah the first fruits
 Moreover, brethren, I
declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also you have
received, and wherein you stand;
By which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.
 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Messiah died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
 After that, he was seen
of James; then of all the apostles.
And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so you believed.
Now if Messiah be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
But if there be no resurrection of the dead,
then is Messiah not risen:
And if Messiah be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we
have testified of God that he rose up Messiah: whom he rose not up, if so be
that the dead rise not.
For if the dead rise not, then is not Messiah raised:
And if Messiah be not raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins.
Then they also which are fallen
asleep in Messiah are perished.
If in this life only we have hope in Messiah, we are of all men most miserable.
But now is Messiah rose from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.
For since by man came death, by man
came also the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam all die, even so in Messiah shall all be made alive.
But every man in his own order: Messiah the first fruits; afterward they that are Messiah's at his coming.
Then cometh the end, when he shall
have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put
down all rule and all authority and power.
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
For he had put all things under
his feet. But when he said, all things are put under him; it is manifest that
he is accepted, which did put all things under him.
And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him that God may be all in all.
Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? Why are they then baptized for the dead?
And why stand us in jeopardy every hour?
I protest by your rejoicing which
I have in Messiah Yeshua our Lord, I die daily.
If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantages it me, if the dead rise not? Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
 Awake to righteousness, and sin
not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
But some man will say, how are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?
You fool, that which you sow is not quickened, except it die:
And that which you sow, you sow not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
But God gives it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
There are also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
There is one glory of the sun, and
another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs
from another star in glory.
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is (like) the Lord from heaven.
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
 Behold, I show you a mystery;
We shall not
all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, and then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be you steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
**Some verses pertaining to Messiah that He raised from the dead
Acts.4 – Peter
And as they spoke unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple,
and the Sadducees, came upon
Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Yeshua the resurrection from the dead.
And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.
And it came to pass on the morrow,
that their rulers,
and elders, and scribes,
And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have you done this?
Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them,
You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
 If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel,
that by the name of Yeshua the Messiah of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
you not, that so many of us as were baptized into Yeshua the
Messiah were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Messiah Yeshua was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His, Yeshua death, we shall be also in the likeness of His, Yeshua’s resurrection:
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Now if we be dead with Messiah, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Messiah being raised from the dead dies no more; death hath no more dominion over Him. For in that He died, he died unto sin once: but in that He lives, He lives unto God.
Rom.7 Wherefore, my brethren and sisters, you also are become dead to the law by the body of Messiah; that you should be married to another, even to Him, Yeshua who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
Rom.8 … if the Spirit of him, the Father that raised up Yeshua from the dead dwell in you, he, the Father that raised up Messiah from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwells in you.
Gal.1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Yeshua the Messiah, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead…
also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Yeshua, and love unto all the saints,
Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
That the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:
 The eyes of your
understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his
calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Which He, the Father wrought in Messiah, when He, the Father raised Him, Yeshua from the dead, and set Him, Yeshua at His, the Father’s own right hand in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
And hath put all things under His, Yeshua’s feet, and gave him, Yeshua to be the head over all things to the church, Which is His body, the fullness of Him, Yeshua that fills all in all.
2Tim.2 Remember that Yeshua the Messiah of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel… and my gospel J
