Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

May -- Maia's month

Old French Mai
Old English Maius
Latin Maius "of Maia"
Latin Maius mensis "month of Maia"

Maius has always had 31 days.

Maia (meaning "the great one") is the Italic goddess of spring, the daughter of Faunus, and wife of Vulcan.

Today is May 18th, 2019 – in the 21 Century

Yehovah God has His own calendar, which is deleted from the world

We are now in the second month of God called זִו Ziv, day 12 - "brightness"

1Kgs.6[1] And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif - Ziv, זִו  which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yehovah.

Our third Sabbath of the seven week journey again, spiritually speaking.

In this journey we again observe in memorial, spiritually to meet God to receive the commandments and to receive the (Baptism) Spirit of God.

From slaves in Egypt (our last lives of sin) to the people of God

Remember: We were told to count "Sabbaths" not omers like many people are doing.

An "omer" is a "sheaf" of barley

עמר omer  - A dry measure of 1/10 ephah (about 2 liters)

Lev.23 [15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

Today’s Topic

The mind

of the Lord, Yehovah /Yeshua and all of us

In this short study, we will learn that our “desire, heart and mind” are all interconnected.

God wants us to come to Him with all the desire of the mind unto the place which Yehovah shall choose

Isa.26 [3] Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.

In scripture, we see such verbiage as:

I left three dots at the end of some of these; you can fill in the blanks.

Grief of mind

Some people (good or bad) speak their minds

Some people are steadfastly minded to…

You can set or not set your mind on…

Be minded of their own freewill to go up to…

You may be minded to repair…

You may bring it again to mind…

You can be chafed in minds of people…

A mind to work

You may change your mind (to do good or evil)

Despiteful minds

Having a fervent mind

A willing mind

A ready mind

Some minds are hardened in pride

You can be forgotten as a dead man out of mind

Some people may not be mindful of Thy wonders that Thou didst among them

Don’t make your minds evil affected against anyone

Doing (something) them or not doing them of you own mind

Your mind may be for or against - toward a person, people…

Some are vainly puffed up by their fleshly mindsWatch what comes into your mind

Cast in your mind what manner of salutation…

they that received the word with all readiness of mind, searched the scriptures daily…

Don’t be shaken in mind

Watch, your mind and conscience can be defiled

a sound mind

sober minded

New Covenant in mind ( Hebrews 8. And Jer.31)

A double minded man or woman are unstable in all their ways.

Most people have an alienated mind from God…

Otherwise minded…

For consider Yeshua that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Some have corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

You may recall to your mind (God), therefore have hope

May we always be in his or her right mind

Always try to called to mind the word that Yeshua spoke

Always be fully persuaded in your own mind

Many people’s minds are blinded from the truth

2Cor.4 [4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Messiah, who is the image of God, should shine unto them

God knows what comes into your minds:

Ezek.11 [5] And the Spirit of Yehovah fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith Yehovah; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.

If you don’t do what Yehovah wants you to do, Yehovah can give you a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind

God always will be ever be mindful of His covenant (s)

Make sure you don’t forget the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength…

Like the letter to the Rom.1 [28]

If you don’t like to retain God in your knowledge, God can turn you over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient…

gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah

pure minds

Serve the Lord Yeshua with all humility of mind

the mind which hath wisdom

Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous

*****

Let’s examine the mind, our mind, God’s mind in other verses:

Pss.115 [12] Yehovah hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

Prov.21 [27] The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?

Prov.29 [11] A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

Job 23 tells us:

[13] But He is in one mind, and who can turn Him? and what His soul desireth, even that He doeth.
[14] For He performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with Him.
[15] Therefore am I troubled at His presence: when I consider, I am afraid of Him.
[16] For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:
[17] Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath He covered the darkness from my face.

Pss.8 - Messiah

[1] Yehovah our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
[2] Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
[3] When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
[4]
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
[5] For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
[6] Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
[7] All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
[8] The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
[9] Yehovah our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

Lev.24

[10] And the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;
[11] And the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of Yehovah, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

[12] And they put him in ward, that the mind of Yehovah might be shewed them.

[13] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[14] Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
[15] And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
[16] And he
that blasphemeth the name of Yehovah, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of Yehovah, shall be put to death.

1Chr.16 [15] Be ye mindful always of God’s covenant; the word which He commanded to a thousand generations; [16] Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
[17] And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
[18] Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
[19] When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
[20] And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
[21] He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
[22] Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

1Chr.22 [7] And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of Yehovah my God: [8] But the word of Yehovah came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
[9] Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
[10] He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.

Chr.28 [9] And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for Yehovah searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek Him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake Him, He will cast thee off for ever.

Matt.22 [37] Yeshua s said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

1Sam.2 [35] And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

Luke.12

[22] And Yeshua said unto His disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
[23] The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
[24] Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
[25] And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
[26] If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
[27] Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
[28] If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

[29] And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
[30] For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
[31] But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
[32] Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Isa.65 [17] For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. [18] But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
[19] And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

Saul writes to the Ephesians:

Eph.2[1] And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
[2] Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
[3] Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh
, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Eph.4 [17] This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord Yeshua, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, [18] Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
[19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
[20] But ye have not so learned Messiah;
[21] If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Yeshua:
[22] That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
[23] And
be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
[24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
[25] Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Saul reports to the Romans:

Rom.7 [23] But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. [24] O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?[25] I thank God through Yeshua the Messiah our Lord.

So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Rom.12[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

[16] Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Rom.15 [6] That we may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Saul tells the Corinthians:

1 Cor.1 [10] Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

2 Cor.11 [3] But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Messiah.

Back to the letter to the Romans

Rom.8[1] There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Messiah Yeshua, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

[2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Messiah Yeshua hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

[3] For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
[4] That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

[5] For
they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

[6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

[7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

[8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

[9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Messiah, he is none of his.

[10] And if Messiah be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

[11] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Yeshua from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Messiah from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

In closing:

Be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Messiah Yeshua

Please stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel

Rom.11 [34] For who hath known the mind of the Lord Yehovah /Yeshua? or who hath been his counselor? [35] Or who hath first given to Him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

[36] For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

2Cor.13 [11] Finally, brethren (and sisters), farewell.

Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
