We are now in the 8th month called Bool, 30th day - "Rain time"
Judaism calls this month Cheshvan or Marheshvan. This is not in the Hebrew Scriptures.
1 Kgs. 6  And in the eleventh year, in the month Bul (Bool), which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it. So was he seven years in building it. (by Solomon)
Question: Why are we here today?
Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy
The 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan
Ex. 20  Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the
LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy
daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger
that is within thy gates:
 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Isa. 58  If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy
pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD,
honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine
own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Lev. 23:  Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath
We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the book of Acts.
Acts 13  Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.  But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.  And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
 For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God
Acts 15  For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day.
Luke 4  And he, Yeshua / Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.
Exod. 31  Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep : for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant .  It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Ezek. 20  Moreover also I gave them my Sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
 And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.
Luke 23  And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
Messiah Yeshua speaking of the future: Matt.24  But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:
The forgotten Sabbath, a sign - "Seven"
Hos. 4  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:
because thou hast rejected knowledge,
I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me:
seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
How do I Keep the Sabbath?
This is a common question that we are asked, and as usual, the answer is in the Word of God.
First we will start by showing where the Sabbath originated:
Genesis Chapter 2 verses -2, 3
Sabbath is not a Jewish tradition. Here in Genesis 2:2,3 there were no Jews or an Israel. Sabbath is a commandment.
Gen.2[ 2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.[ 3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
So we can see that God blessed and sanctified the 7th day in Genesis. If you dont know what the 7th day of the week is, look on your calendar. It is Saturday . Since the time of Yeshua / Jesus (and Jesus kept the Sabbath), the days in a year, and the days in the month has changed, but not the days of the week.
The Commandments of God are located in Exodus Chapter 20 and Deuteronomy Chapter 5. The 4th Commandment of God is to keep HIS Sabbath:
Exodus 20: 8-11
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Did you remember?
Here we can see that God tells us to remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. This tells us that they had known about the Sabbath before. We can also see that the entire day is to be kept holy to the lord. No work is to be done by anyone in your entire household.
Now you may have more questions, but again they are answered by the Word of God
Remember that Yeshua / Jesus is the Word of God manifest in the flesh. He is the one that made this commandment and it has a real purpose for his people. Yeshua / Jesus said in Mark 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath He is saying that he made the Sabbath FOR man.
He knows that if we don't spend at least one whole day reading his word, praying, and taking the time to know him - we will forget him . If we are honest, we can see the result. Christians go to church on Sunday for an hour or so, go out to lunch, mow the lawn, watch the ball game etc ...
God starts His day in the evening, as said in here:
Gen.1  And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And
the evening and the morning were the first day. You see the day starts in the
They do not keep the commandment as God said (Saturday- all day) and the result is that many Christians do not know the word of God today and probably can't even tell you what his commandments are.
Also, by the way, God's day is from evening to evening (sunset to sunset) which makes more sense than the day changing in the middle of the night. In God's day there is 12 hours of night and then 12 hours of day. In the bible where the Holy ghost came to the apostles on the day of Pentecost, the 3 rd hour of the day would be around 9:00 in the morning (the third hour of sunlight). So God's Sabbath starts Friday night at sunset and ends on Saturday night at sunset.
Lev 23:32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
Gentiles get a special Blessing for keeping Sabbath
 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do
justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
 Neither let the son of the stranger, that
hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated
me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree. For
thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the
things that please me, and take hold of my covenant; Even unto them will I
give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons
and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut
off.  Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to
serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that
keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
So we can see that even when the stranger (which some of us once were) join themselves to the Lord, and serve him, and keep his sabbath even them will I bring to my holy mountain
Now, as to how to keep the Sabbath?
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from
doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of
the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor
finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it .
Here we see that the entire day is to be kept for the Lord. Not doing your own ways, or speaking your own words, or doing your own pleasure. Call the Sabbath a delight! Holy of the Lord! And honoring HIM! Now you may ask, what could possibly be wrong with that? The answer is that there is everything right with that. The Sabbath and not having idols are the two commandments most written about in the bible (2nd and 4th commandments). God does NOT change and Jesus is the Word of God in the flesh. Another point to remember is that Jesus and the apostles did not have the New Testament scriptures. They used the Old Testament scriptures (Tanakh) to prove the Messiah. The reason most people do not understand the New Testament scriptures is that they don't know, or read, the Old Testament scriptures. They do not contradict each other.
Now we will show you by scripture that you cannot buy or sell on the Sabbath which makes sense because other people would be working and not keeping the Sabbath holy.
Nehemiah 13 15-22
In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine
presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also
wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into
Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein
they sold victuals.
There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.
Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?
Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.
And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.
So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.
Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.
And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day.
Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.
As we can see, it is EVIL to buy and
sell on the Sabbath and the people of Israel were punished many times for not
keeping HIS Sabbath. Because without the Sabbath, Gods people forget him
and their lives overtake them work, school, sports, entertainment, etc.
Makes sense doesn't it?
Even after there is a New Heavens and a New Earth, there will bw a Sabbath.
Isa.66[ 22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make , shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.[23 ] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another , shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
Have you read this verse in Luke 23:56?
There is still a Sabbath, a rest, and it is a commandment.
Luke.23[ 54] And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. [ 56] And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.
The Sabbath was made for man by a God who knows his creation.
So as Solomon says in Ecclesiastes Chapter 12 verses 12-14:
And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of
making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
We also want to tell you another thing: Please do not use other books than the bible including the Talmud and other Jewish books to give you information on these matters. The bible is the only book you need to understand the Word of God. Ask the Lord for Wisdom, Knowledge, Understanding, and the Fear of the Lord and you will do well.
A Psalm for the Sabbath Day
 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the
LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
 O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a
fool understand this.
 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
 But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.
 For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
This evening starts the ninth month called Chislev; ëÄñÀìÅå
Just by saying the words above, I see most people don't know:
1 - God's day starts in the evening
2 - Acknowledgment of the new moon
3 - There are names to the months in God's calendar
4 - God has a calendar
Let's explain Colossians 2:16 again
Colossians 2:16: Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday ( not holiday ) , or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17: Which are a shadow of "things to come"; (future tense) but the body is of Messiah / Christ.
Judge - κρινω krino: to try to condemn, to separate, put asunder, to pick out, to be of opinion, judge, to pronounce an opinion concerning right and wrong, to contend, to dispute
Holyday - εορτη - heorte -heh-or-tay' - a festival: - feast, holyday.
New moon - νουμηνία - noumēnia - noo-may-nee'-ah - the festival of new moon
sabbath days - σάββατον - sabbaton - the institution of the sabbath, the law for keeping holy every seventh day of the week and sabbaton in the feasts of the Lord
Shadow - σκια skia : shadow, an image cast by an object and representing the form of that object, a sketch, outline

Ezra 10  Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.
Jer. 36  And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.
 Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.
Hag. 2  In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,
 Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD's temple was laid, consider it.
We just came back from almost a 5 day visit from relatives and I will tell you I am happy to be back.
I see more and more, we have nothing in common. It is fearfull to realize, at one time, I was one of them.
I was vexed with their filthy conversation day to day. I am sad for them.
Just to summarize the visit
Pss. 119  Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.
Pss. 10  His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity.
Rom. 3  There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Pss. 10  The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.
Eph. 5  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; (They were drunk with...)
So should we help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD?
2 Chr. 19
 And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah
returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.
 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the ungodly, and love them that hate the LORD? therefore is wrath upon thee from before the LORD.
 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the
counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the
seat of the scornful.
 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
1 Tim. 1  Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1 Pet. 4  And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
2 Pet. 2  And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
2 Pet. 3  But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
Jude 1  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
2 Pet. 2  And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
However, we need to remember:
 For when we were yet without strength, in due
time Messiah died for the ungodly. For
scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some
would even dare to die.
 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us.
 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, by whom we have now received the atonement.
 Know ye not that the unrighteous
shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived:
neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers
of themselves with mankind,
 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
 Now the works of the flesh are manifest,
which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in
heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth
rain on the just and on the unjust.
 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
Mark 16  And he / Yeshua said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Again I say:
Rom.13  But put ye on the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
