G3846 παραβαλλω - paraballo - par-ab-al'-lo: From G3844 and G906; to throw alongside, that is, (reflexively) to reach a place, or (figuratively) to liken: - arrive, compare.

G3844 παρα - para - par-ah' :A primary preposition; properly near, that is, (with genitive case) from beside (literally or figuratively), (with dative case) at (or in) the vicinity of (objectively or subjectively), (with accusative case) to the proximity with (local [especially beyond or opposed to] or causal [on account of]). In compounds it retains the same variety of application: - above, against, among, at, before, by, contrary to, friend, from, + give [such things as they], + that [she] had, his, in, more than, nigh unto, (out) of, past, save, side . . . by, in the sight of, than, [there-] fore, with. In compounds it retains the same variety of application.

G906 βαλλω - ballo - bal'-lo :A primary verb; to throw (in various applications, more or less violent or intense): - arise, cast (out), dung, lay, lie, pour, put (up), send, strike, throw (down), thrust. Compare G4496.

ριπτω - rhipto - hrip'-to : A primary verb (perhaps rather akin to the base of G4474, through the idea of sudden motion); to fling (properly with a quick toss, thus differing from G906, which denotes a deliberate hurl; and from ôåéíù teino? (see in G1614), which indicates an extended projection); by qualification, to deposit (as if a load); by extension to disperse: - cast (down, out), scatter abroad, throw.

They, the people have shut their eyes, ears and mind to God and His Word.

Matt.13 [ 13] Therefore speak I to them in parables : "because they" seeing see not; and "hearing "they" hear not, neither do "they" understand.

[14 ] And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias , which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:[15 ] For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing , and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Mark.4 [11 ] And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables :[12] That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
[13] And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

Acts.28[ 25] And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
[26] Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
[27] For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Isa.6 [ 9] And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.[10] Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

Isa.44 [ 13] The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.

[
16] He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
[
17] And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
[18] They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
[19] And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?

[
20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[
21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[
22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[
23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

[
27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
[
28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind , to do those things which are not convenient;
[
29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
[
30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
[
31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
[
32] Who knowing the judgment of God , that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
