Dec. 30, 2006 - Tebeth, 9th day

Today's topic: Truth causes division

God's own calendar - 10th month called Tebeth -טֵבֵת

Esth.2 [16] So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth , in the seventh year of his reign.

-------------

Jer.10[ 2] Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. [3 ] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [ 4] They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.

Jer.6[16] Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths , where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein . ( like most of the world today )

Jer.18[ 15] Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths , in a way not cast up;[16 ] To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head.

Col. 2:16

[16] Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:[17] Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Pss.42 [4] When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday . חוֹגֵג

chagag חגג : A primitive root - properly to move in a circle, that is, (specifically) to march in a sacred procession, to observe a festival; celebrate, dance, (keep, hold) a (solemn) feast (holyday

Lev.23 feasts of the LORD

[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

[4] These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

[37] These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:

[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD.

---------

1Sam.8 [1 ] And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.
[
2] Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beer-sheba.
[
3] And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.
[
4] Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
[
5] And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways : now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
[
6] But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
[
7] And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

[8] According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.

We have the same people today ( end of 2006 ) that have forsaken The Lord

Exod.34[12 ] Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
[
13] But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:[ 14] For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: [15] Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods , and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee , and thou eat of his sacrifice;
[16] And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.[ 17] Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.

All things of God are replaced by most people of the earth

God told us about clean and unclean foods - Now people eat and drink anything.

Holydays and Feasts of the Lord are replaced by all the pagan feasts and traditions of the world.

God's calendar is replaced by Pope Greg's calendar.

New moon is not talked about any more except in wiccan pagan circles.

God's Sabbath, the 7th day is replaced by the 1st day of the week.

The "shadows of things to comes" from Messiah's body are obscured and forgotten by most people on the earth.

----------

Matt.15[ 3]Yeshua said:....... Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

[6] ... Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

Mark.7[ 13] Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

[9] And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Col.2[ 8] Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men , after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

1Pet.1[ 18] Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers ;[19 ] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: [20 ] Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

The mystery of iniquity

Dan.7[ 25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws : and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

2Thes.2[ 7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work : only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

The first Roman Calendar had 10 months, with 304 days in a year that began in March. January and February were added later.

In 46 BC, Julius Caesar created "The Year of Confusion" by adding 80 days to the year making it 445 days long to bring the calendar back in step with the seasons. The solar year - with the value of 365 days and 6 hours - was made the basis of the calendar. To take care of the 6 hours, every 4th year was made a 366-day year.

It was then that Caesar decreed that the year begins with the 1st of January.

In 325AD Constantine the Great, the first so-called Christian Roman emperor, introduced Sunday as thea holyday in the week. He also introduced Easter and Christmas.

In 1545 the Council of Trent authorised Pope Paul III to reform the calendar once more.

Pope Gregory XIII ordered that Thursday, 4 October 1582 was to be the last day of the Julian calendar.

Protestant rulers ignored the new calendar that the Pope ordered. It was not until 1698 that Germany and the Netherlands changed to the Gregorian calendar. Britain made the change only in 1752. Russia adopted the new calendar in 1918, and China in 1949.

The Gregorian calendar is the most widely used 12/30/06 in the world. A modification of the 12/30/06 , it was first proposed ( as it is said by many ) by the Calabrian doctor Aloysius Lilius , and with the assistance of the Italian astronomer Luigi Lilio Ghiraldi and the German Jesuit mathematician Christopher Clavius, Gregory introduced his namesake calendar in 1582 . Its years are numbered from the "traditional ( made up ) birth year of Jesus ", which is labeled the A D era and sometimes C E.

The Gregorian Calendar was devised both because the mean year in the Julian Calendar was slightly too long, causing the vernal equinox to slowly drift backwards in the 12/30/06, and because the lunar calendar used to compute the date of Easter had grown conspicuously in error as well.

Pagan months

January: Roman god Janus was the god of doorways, entrances, gateways, thresholds and beginnings, and therefore used for the opening of the New Year.

February: February used to be the last month of the Roman calendar. On 15th day of the month was a Pagan festival of purification called Februa and so this month came to be known as Februa's month. The day before that, and the day after 13th was a holiday to honour Juno.

The goddess Juno was the Queen of the Roman gods and goddesses, and also the goddess of women and marriage. Was it coincidence that the nasty Emperor Claudius II arranged for a priest named Valentine to be clubbed to death and then beheaded on this day?

March: The Roman god Mars, god of war and guardian of the state. This was the first month of the ancient Roman calendar.

April: Considered a sacred Roman month for the goddess Venus. The name 'April' is probably from Apru, an Etruscan borrowing of Greek Aphrodite, a fertility goddess. Alternatively, it may stem from the Latin aperire (to open), as so many buds and blossoms open in this month.

May: This is from Maia a Roman goddess of earth, honour and reverence. She was wife of Vulcan, mother of Mercury by Jupiter and daughter of Atlas. It became a popular girl's name in English.

June: The chief goddess Juno, wife of Jupiter and queen of the heavens and gods. June became another popular name for girls, as did:

July: Named after the death Julius Caesar in 44 BC to deify and immortalize his name. Gaius Julius Caesar was born in this month, which was formerly Quintilis (fifth) month of the Roman calendar.

August: Named in 8 BC after Augustus Caesar, the adopted heir of Julius Caesar and the first Roman emperor (31 BC - 14AD). A word related to 'august' is 'venerable', and the emperor was known as the Venerable Caesar. Quite a contrast to the month's original name, 'Weodmonao', which means 'month of weeds'. Today's gardeners would agree with that.

September: This name comes from the Latin septem, meaning 'seven'.

October: This name comes from the Latin octo, meaning 'eight'. (Octopus - an 8-sided cat?) This is the month when people start thinking of Christmas and New Year parties. Amaze your friends by telling them the day of the week for Christmas Day and New Year's Day; these days are always the same week day as 2nd October.

November: This name comes from the Latin novem, meaning 'nine'.

December: This name comes from the Latin decem, meaning 'ten'. <

When we discuss these things with people it causes division

Luke.12 [51] Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth?

I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

[52] For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
[
53] The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

division: a parting, disunion, dissension

Mic.7[6] For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

Matt.10 [21] And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.[22 ] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Mark.13 [12] Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.[13 ] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Luke.21 [16] And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. [17] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.[18 ] But there shall not an hair of your head perish.[ 19] In your patience possess ye your souls.

John.7 [43] So there was a division among the people because of Hm.

Luke.14[26 ] If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.[27 ] And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Rom.8[38 ] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
[
39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John.16[1] These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

[2] They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea , the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

Isa.40[ 3] The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

פַּנּוּ דֶּרֶךְ יְהוָה

panah פּנה - to turn, to turn toward, to turn and do, to approach, to turn and look at, after or for, to make clear,

John.1[ 23] He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

1John.2 [21] I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth

Gal.4[16] Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

----------------------------------------

In righteousness we judge and make war for you ( this world )

2Cor.10[ 3] For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:[4 ] (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)[5 ] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;[6 ] And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

1Tim.1[ 18] This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfar e;

1Tim.6[ 12] Fight the good fight of faith , lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

2Tim.4[ 7] I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:[8] Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Prov.20[ 18] Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.

Rev.12[ 17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Rev.17[ 14] These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Rev.19[ 11] And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

[19] And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.[20 ] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Ecclesiastes: [1] To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

[2] A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
[
3] A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
[
4] A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
[
5] A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
[
6] A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
[
7] A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
[
8] A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
