שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today is July 20, 2019 - in the 21 Century

July -- Julius Caesar's month

Middle English Julie
Latin Julius "Julius"
Latin Julius
mensis "month of Julius"
Latin
quintilis mensis "fifth month"

Quintilis (and later Julius) has always had 31 days.

Julius Caesar reformed the Roman calendar (hence the Julian calendar) in 46 BC. In the process, he renamed this month after himself.

We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar

We are now in the 4th month of God - No bible name,  day 16

Judaism calls this month Tammuz - made up

Ezek.8 [14] Then he brought me to the door of the gate of theYehovah’s house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for the Tammuzהַתַּמּוּז - (pagan deity) - a Sumerian deity and Phoenician deity

A quick report on a forum called meetup, at this point, nothing.

Today’s topic:

We want nothing but the Truth

John.14 [6] Yeshua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

I hear some people are still getting into arguments about irrelevant, unreasonable subjects.

Last week I came across a person, on paltalk, who did not believe Yeshua was God. So I proceeded to give him a few scriptures to prove that.

Here are the scriptures I presented him:

John.1 [1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

[14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Tim.3 [16] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh

Here is the simple breakdown:

the Word was God

the Word was made flesh

without controversy - God was manifest in the flesh

These scriptures are perfectly clear (if you have ears to hear)

He said I was misinterpreting these verses.

So I then I just red dotted him, some accept, some reject.

Unreasonable and wicked men abound

2Thes.3 [1] Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of Yehovah may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

[2] And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

[3] But Yehovah is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.

Avoid evil, foolish questions, people, things and situations in your life

Rom.16 [17] Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

[18] For they that are such serve not our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Prov.9 [6] Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.

Tit.3 [9] But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
[10] A man / woman that is an
heretic after the first and second admonition reject;[11] Knowing that he / she that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of themselves.

1Tim.1 [4] Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

1Tim.4 [1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
[2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
[3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
[4] For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving
:
[5] For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
[6] If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou
shalt be a good minister of Yeshua the Messiah, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

[7] But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
[8] For bodily exercise
profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

1Tim.6 [20] O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:[21] Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

Don’t let anyone try to trip you up with their foolish questions

Here is a model below to follow and modify to your particular situation when you preach the word to others.

Try to apply some of these instructions in your conversation with people, not using a “canned pitch”.

Canned or scripted preaching is rarely successful; people are individuals and need tailored, in the Spirit, words from scripture.

These instructions below were to the other seventy the Lord Yeshua sent out.

Luke.10

[1] After these things the Lord Yeshua appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.
[2] Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore Yehovah of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.
[3] Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
[4] Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.
[5] And into whatsoever house ye enter,
first say, Peace be to this house.
[6] And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.
[7] And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
[8] And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
[9] And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

[10] But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,
[11] Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
[12] But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

Here are a few ways to understand if the person you are talking to about God is interested:

When you preach, watch people’s body language, eye movement, their concern in what you are saying. Make sure you have eye contact.

Don’t go on and on if the person is fidgeting around in not interested.

Make sure there is proper interaction. Ask them questions, observe their answers.

Make sure it is a conversation not a monologue. Make sure you are talking with them not at them.

Watch their unreasonable and foolish questions. If this persists, leave the conversation.

Matt.10 [16] Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Col.4 [6] Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

We have to be read to answer every person

2Tim.2 [15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1Pet.3 [15] But sanctify Yehovah God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

[16] Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Messiah.

[17] For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.[18] For Messiah also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit…

Mark.16 [15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.[16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

As for people that try to get you forget our God of Israel:

Luke.14 [26] If any man / woman come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. [27] And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Matt.11 [6] And blessed is he / she, whosoever shall not be offended in Me Yeshua.

Luke.9 [24] [24] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
[25] For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

[26] For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Most of the ungodly people in the world are liars

1John.5 [19] And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

A few verses on leasing:

Pss.4 [2] O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

Pss.5 [6] Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: Yehovah will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Leasing means:

כָּזָב

Kazav - falsehood; literally (untruth) or figuratively (idol): - deceitful, false, leasing, + liar, lie, lying.

כָּזַב

Kazav - A primitive root; to lie (that is, deceive), literally or figuratively: - fail, (be found a, make a) liar, lie, lying, be in vain.

A few verses on liars:

Pss.31[6] I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in Yehovah.

[18] Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

Pss.59[12] For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

Pss.109[2] For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

Pss.119[29] Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

[163] I hate and abhor lying: but thy law do I love.

Pss.120[2] Deliver my soul, Yehovah, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

Pss.139[3] Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

Prov.6[17] [16] These six things doth Yehovah hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
[17] A proud look,
a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
[18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
[19] A false witness that
speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Prov.10[18] He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.

Prov.12[19] The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

[22] Lying lips are abomination to Yehovah: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Prov.13[5] A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.

Prov.17[7] Excellent speech becometh not a fool: much less do lying lips a prince.

Prov.21[6] The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death.

Prov.26 [24] He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;

[25] When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.[26] Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be shewed before the whole congregation.

[28] A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

Prov.17 [4] A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.

Prov.19 [22] The desire of a man is his kindness: and a poor man is better than a liar.

Prov.30 [6] Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Pss.52 [1] Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.
[2] Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp rasor, working deceitfully.
[
3] Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

[4] Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.

[5] God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

[6] The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him:

[7] Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength;

but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

[8] But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever.[9] I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Rev.21 [8] … the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Inclosing:

Be careful even for nothing and watch what you do, for the hour is always late for both me and you. You never know when you will meet Yehovah.

Don’t be kinder, sweeter, more gentler etc… then God, follow the Word, make a stand with everyone!
