One in Messiah Congregation

Writings of Louise 2021 - 2022

 2/12/21

See you at 6:45

And you’ll know you are alive

We’ll read the Word

And we’ll Know we’ve Heard

Together we will know

How to DO HIS WORD

2/19/21 Purim

If you want your soul to thrive

Meet us online at 6:45

We’re keeping God’s commandments to the very end

That is the message we want to send

Start in Genesis it is the first

We learned how God created the earth

To get a glimpse of heaven

Read Revelation

Everything in between is certainly for you

God will tell you just what to do.

So be sure you DO IT!

2/26/21 Purim

With brothers and sisters we read God’s word

Loving each other as we have heard

Every day we will walk in His ways

And keep His commandments all of our days

Together…

As One in Messiah

3/5/21

Yeshua is our Shepherd, and we are His sheep

In His Word He promised

Our souls to keep

If we make the choice

To listen to His voice

And not listen to any other.

Shabbat Shalom

3/12/21

As we have heard from the Prophets of old

How God loves Israel we are told

So awesome it is that we can know it

He sent His Son to show it

So, we read together that we can show Him

Together…

That we love Him!

3/14/21

It may be a happy new year

For the last one I won’t shed a tear

A new beginning, I can see

With God a happy one it will be

3/20/21

In the Psalms God said He will give His beloved peaceful sleep,

All His promises He always will keep

When you lay your head down tonight

Sleep peacefully till the morning light.

Undated

We gather together from near and far

Some by plane and some by car

We come to keep Passover for this year

And Feast of Unleavened Bread is almost here

In one accord we honor Him

Together

4/9/21 Week 1 of 7 to count before the Feast of Weeks

Shabbat Shalom to everyone,

It starts at the setting of the sun,

At the beginning of this special day,

To read in His Word and learn more of His way.

Even though we are far apart,

With our computers we can start,

Rejoicing Together!

4/16/21 Week 2 of 7 to count before the Feast of Weeks

As we make this seven week journey again this year,

We are reminded how God made it very clear,

To Keep his commandments that he wrote all alone,

With His own finger He wrote them on tables of stone.

Now we keep them with our whole hearts because by Yeshua’s blood we are atoned.

And in the letter of Acts when God’s power came down,

On the Feast of Weeks, it was heard all over town.

God never changes; He is always the same,

So, what will we do with this Power in His Name?

Together…

4/24/2021 Week 3 of 7 to count before the Feast of Weeks

Last night as I was thinking of the last few days, and the beautiful flowers I had planted, how in all the work, and the pleasure of it, only by the creation of God could I enjoy any of it.

Each flower and plant has its own unique beauty, and the variety is endless.

Who but our God, the mighty Creator, could have thought to give His children this wonderful gift.

When I look around me and see His handiwork, I think of Matthew 6 how the lilies of the field are more beautiful than Solomon in all his array.

Since I cannot make a flower or a tree, or even a rose petal, I thank my God that He can!

4/30/2021 Week 4 of 7 to count before the Feast of Weeks

Another Shabbat and online we will meet,

And we thank God that our fellowship is sweet.

We freshen up our minds with the washing of the Word,

To begin a new day with what we have heard.

Together…

5/8/2021 Week 5 of 7 to count before the Feast of Weeks

We read in God’s Word about the miracles He performed,

Because of them many people were reformed,

God is the same today and He will touch our lives

As David said in the Psalms that His Word revives.

In the gospels Yeshua said “If you only believe”,

Then because of His Word we surely can receive…

 His Miracles

5/15/2021: 6th Sabbath of the 7 we are to count to the Feast of Weeks

When thoughts begin to roll around in your head,

Remember in II Corinthians 10 where long ago it was said,

The good ones you keep and the others you cast down,

Because if you don’t you could cause God to frown.

Think on those things that are clean and pure,

Then you will be pleasing to God for sure.

So I think, that I’ll think thoughts of God’s Word,

So I think, you’ll think thoughts of His Word you have heard!

It’s not hard, just do it!

5/21/2021

Week 7 of the 7 Sabbaths we are to count

Last Week we learned:

SET:

Be immovable in what you know to be the truth of God’s Word.

PREPARE:

Make sure you have on God’s armor and you will be prepared for anything the enemy throws at you.

SEEK:

Seek God with all your heart and you will be found by Him.

BE MINDFUL:

All decisions are made in the mind so decide to keep His commandments and live.

FORGET NOT YEHOVAH YOUR GOD:

Everything He does and has done for us is for our good always.

Don’t forget Him and He won’t forget you.

5/28/21

Feast of Weeks Acrostic, a poem

Following God’s feast days

Expecting His power from on high

Allowing our hearts to be filled with His love

Sharing the time with each other

Trusting Him to do what He says

Offering our lives for His service

Filling us with His Holy Spirit

Wheat is the Harvest during this season

Each week we looked forward to this time

Entering into a time of refreshing

Keeping each Sabbath until the seventh

Seeking His guidance to “Bring in the Sheaves”

Endure - June 5, 2021

Enduring to the end in a biblical way

Is learning God’s Word and living it every day.

Yeshua said His Holy Spirit would be our guide

If in His Word we completely abide.

He said in this world we would have tribulation

He also said to be of good cheer and that’s good information.

Because He overcame the world and so can we,

He is our example and through His eyes we see.

Romans 8:38 & 39 says:

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, or angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God,

which is in Yeshua Messiah our Lord.”

June 11, 2021

It is another new moon

It seems to have come so soon.

That little sliver of silver up in the sky,

Is so important for us to know why,

God lets us know when an old month ends

And a brand-new month begins.

So, rejoice and be happy that we are alive,

For it’s by His Grace that we can survive.

The Sabbath - June 19, 2021

On this Sabbath day as we gather together,

No matter whether it’s sunny or stormy weather

We delight in His presence as the commandments we keep,

As we read in His Word, His mercy and blessings we seek.

We give Him honor and glory and His praises we sing,

In harmony we offer our hearts, our lives, everything.

Genesis 2 is where the Sabbath was created

It is a fact that it will never be outdated.

The Sabbath – a day of joy and peace!

From the past - 11.19.2015 Louise Psalm

You alone are the Mighty Creator

You alone have made Heaven and Earth

You alone deserve all the Glory

In You alone do I put my trust

The Heavens declare Your Glory

The sun and moon are at Your command

The stars and planets you put in their place

And in Your image, You created man

The seventh day You ended Your work

You rested from all You had done

You blessed it and made it a Holy day

To be remembered by everyone who obeys Your word

Important things I learned during prayer and fasting

Ephesians, chapter 1

Verse 3: Yeshua has blessed me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Yeshua

Verse 4: He chose me

Verse 5: He adopted me

Verse 7: I am redeemed through His blood

Verse 7: I am forgiven of my past sins by His grace

Verse 14: I have an inheritance

Verse 17:  The Father will give me the spirit of wisdom, and revelation in the knowledge of Him.

Verse 18: The eyes of my understanding being enlightened…

7.10.2021

This world really is not my home, I’m just passing through it.

My treasures are stored in heaven where everything is new.

My Father is the richest in the universe.  In heaven I don’t even need a purse!

I don’t need a credit card - Yeshua paid my debt in full when He died and rose.  Now He sits in Heaven on the right hand of the Father.

He said, if I love Him, keep His commandments.  I do that gladly because I do love Him.

When you think of these words it makes the “things” of this world unimportant.

When I do see my Savior Yeshua I will fall at His feet and thank Him forever.

I will have eternity to do so!

At One In Messiah Congregation some of us are young and some are old,

There are some in between, but all blended together in one fold.

We are all seeking to please our God all our days,

Reading through His word and learning to walk in His ways.

We joyfully keep His feast as He has instructed long ago,

Gathering together with good food, good music and love for each other we show.

We remember to keep His Sabbaths in commandment number four,

Yeshua said if we love Him we will keep all His commandments and then God will open Heaven’s door.

We will enter in and worship Him forever more!

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death.

Revelation 12:17 … which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah.

July 23, 2021 - While attending my garden J

Have you ever wondered why God made bugs?

They are everywhere, in your house and in your coffee mugs.

When you are outside and don’t wear socks, they will snack on your ankle,

With a bumble bee I don’t want to tangle.

When you go in your garden they feast on your arms,

Unless you wear long sleeves and gloves then they’ll do you no harm.

Surely God has a reason so we must endure,

If you could ask a bird, they would tell you for sure

Bugs are their breakfast, lunch, and dinner,

Without them they would be much thinner.

God in His infinite wisdom and enduring love,

Surely will not allow bugs in heaven above!

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Let’s make a list of these things.

Whatsoever things are:

·       True – conforming to reality or fact; not false

·       Honest – honorable in principles, intentions, and actions

·       Just – guided by truth, reason, justice, and fairness

·       Pure – clear; untainted; free from contaminates; free from blemishes

·       Lovely – delightful; highly pleasing

·       Of good report – good reputation; a good statement or announcement

·       Virtue – behavior showing high moral standards

·       Praise – the act of expressing approval or admiration

With all the ungodly things going on in this world today, it is more important than ever to apply this verse.

Selah

August 6, 2021

We had a lot of rain today, it is important, that is so,

It is essential for the trees, flowers, and gardens to grow,

When it rains it causes the creeks and streams to flow,

God only makes it rain to water His earth we know.

There is another kind of water that Yeshua talked about in His word.

He told about the living water which our ears have heard,

If your soul is thirsty and dry,

Listen to Yeshua, there is an abundant supply.

Yeshua told the woman at the well she would never thirst anymore,

If we drink freely, then like her we won’t be thirsty as before.

Drink freely One In Messiah

No Night There - August 13, 2021

In the book of Revelation,

It tells us there will be no night in heaven.

Even as a child I never liked the night,

I was much happier when I had a light.

With God there is no difference between night and day,

When I go to be with Him, I can surely say,

He is the light there can be no darkness there.

In God’s new earth there will be light everywhere.

I’ll have a new body and perfect eyesight,

Being in His presence I’ll praise Him with all my might.

And be so thankful there is no night!

August 20, 2021

I Corinthians 12:14 says “For the body is not one member but many.”

As I was pondering on this verse, this is what came to mind:

Surely, we are thankful that each member of One In Messiah is an important part of our congregation, making up the body of Messiah, each one with their talents and abilities.

This is especially evident when we gather together during the feasts and Holy Days.

I think you all will agree that together we make up a loving and caring body, pleasing to our Heavenly Father, by the blood of our Messiah!

August 27, 2021

God planted me in Hohenwald a city that’s small,

There are no fancy shops or even a shopping mall,

But when you bloom where you’re planted that doesn’t matter at all.

The folks here are friendly, and some have grown dear.

I must sow the good seed of God’s Word, that’s very clear.

Sprinkling the good seed everywhere that I can,

Some plant, some water that is God’s plan.

God gives the increase when it falls on good ground.

When one soul repents and joins the Israel of God, there is heard in heaven a joyful sound.

Keep sowing the good seed One In Messiah!

September 3, 2021

There is a song that goes like this:

I have peace like a river.

I have joy like a fountain.

I have love like the ocean.

I lived near the Mississippi river at one time and I can say it is a BIG river.

That’s a lot of PEACE when you consider the analogy.

We have all seen big, beautiful fountains in different places and how the water just keeps flowing.

Remember, the JOY of the Yehovah is our strength,

So let the joy keep flowing.

We all know how vast the ocean is, and out God has LOVE like the ocean, and we should be the same toward our brothers and sisters.

Peace, Joy, Love = One In Messiah,

From His Word.

Important Things I learned From Ephesians 1

Verse 3:   Yeshua has blessed me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places

Verse 4:   He chose me

Verse 5:   He adopted me

Verse 7:   I am redeemed through His blood

I am forgiven of my past sins by His grace

Verse 14: I have an inheritance

Verse 18: The eyes of my understanding are being enlightened

It will bless you to read the whole chapter and think on it.  In other words – SELAH!

 October 1, 2021

The days of the Feast of Tabernacles are finished,

But the joy, peace, and praises have not diminished.

Being together for those days was a gift from above,

It brought joy, laughter, and an abundance of love.

We increased our faith by reading God’s word,

We built our succoth by what we heard,

Remembering that one day we will live forever in glory,

But while we are here, we can tell this wonderful story,

From the greatest to the least

it's all about the meaning of this Feast!

October 8, 2021

It’s a new month of God a new moon to see,

A new month filled with blessings for you and me

A time of joy and gladness for each new day,

With praise and thankful hearts that Yeshua has made the way.

That one month, ha Ethanim, He will come with a trumpet and a shout and say,

“Come my children, Your new home awaits”,

Then we will arrive at Heaven’s open gates.

We loved Him and kept His commandments, every one,

Some of us may go sooner if our life on earth is done.

But one day we will all be together in the presence of the SON!

Who bought us and paid our debt, the Victory He has won!

(Oh, and remember there is no night there so we can always see)

 Oct.15, 2021

After we read Revelation, I realized how many times God was worshipped.  These are wonderful examples of how we can also worship.  Saying…….

Revelation

4:8 “… saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.”

4:11 “saying, You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou have created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

5:12 “… saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.”

5:13 “… saying, blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sits upon the throne, and unto the Lamb forever and ever.”

7:10 “… saying, Salvation to our God which sits upon the throne and unto the Lamb

7:12 “… saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be unto our God forever and ever.  Amen.”

11:17 “… saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which are, and was, and are to come; because thou have taken to thee thy great power, and has reigned.”

14:7 “… saying, with a loud voice Fear God, and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgment is come:  and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

15:3 & 4 “… sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.  Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name?

For you only are holy:  for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

These are examples of specific ways God was praised.

We surely can follow these examples and bless our God by the fruit of our lips.

Reflections on Galatians 5: 22 & 23

The righteous bear fruit and the fruit of the Spirit is:

          Love

          Joy

          Peace

          Longsuffering (patience)

          Gentleness

          Goodness

          Faith

          Meekness (strength under control)

          Temperance (self-control)

Such good fruit, so let’s bear some today!

God’s Fall Season - 10.29.2021

This is God’s beautiful time of the year called Fall,

The leaves are changing to vivid colors in the trees so tall,

The Colorful leaves of yellow, orange, and red,

Are a sure sign the trees are preparing to go to bed.

Who told the trees to display such beauty in this season?

Of course, God did, and He created them for this reason.

In the brisk fall breezes the leaves float and dance around,

And after a time, they all fall to the ground.

Goldenrod also blooms in the fall and makes some sniffle & sneeze,

But we won’t think about that, just focus on the trees!

Thank and Praise Our God for this beautiful season!

Louise Writing 11.12.2021

I will praise my Father with my song,

I will gladly praise Him all day long.

I will praise Him in the morning light.

I will praise Him in the noon day bright,

I will praise Him when the sun goes down at night.

I will praise Him and from yesterday’s problems I will not borrow,

I will praise Him in joy and gladness if He gives me another tomorrow.

Praise ye Yehovah!

The Gift - 11/26/2021

As I sit here with my pen ready to write,

I’m searching my mind with all my might.

What can I say that would encourage and uplift?

Of course, it is about God and His perfect gift!

Yes, it is Yeshua the Messiah, and it’s very clear,

When we lift our voice to Him, He will always hear.

He will keep us in perfect peace when our minds stay on Him,

Then the things going on in this world will become very dim.

He has overcome the world and so will we!

(Be cheerful and joyful!)

12/3/2021

Today I will make this short and sweet,

No Facebook for me, nor do I Tweet.

I have a direct line to my Father above,

Who tells me in His Word of His great love.

No satellite needed, nor fiber optic cable,

Just open His word and you will see that He is able,

To hear His children, anywhere, anytime, who keep His Word.

Isn’t that the best news you have ever heard!

Louise Writing 12.11.2021

As God’s people, what is our purpose on the earth?

Learning to please God, as parents teach their children from birth,

To keep His commandments according to His Word,

To delight in His statutes, and not forget what we heard.

It’s an honor and privilege to know this today,

That we can please our God and do things His way,

When we delight in Him, He delights in us!

Follow 12.17.2021

Yeshua said:

Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.

My sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me.

If any man serve me, let him follow me.

Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Yeshua saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and He said unto him, follow Me. And he left all, rose up, and followed Him.

When He calls, will you follow?

My Deliverer – 12/24/2021

Again, I say, this world is not my home. Every day we see more and more evil from those in authority.  They want to take away our freedom, even to keep us from serving our God.

Of course, God’s Word is our guide and comfort.

He is our Deliverer!  We can take encouragement from David as he wrote in the Psalms:

Psalm 31:15:  My times are in Thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from him that persecute me.

Psalm 43:1:  Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

Psalm 59:1:  Deliver me from my enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.

Psalm 119:134:  Deliver me from the oppression of man:  so will I keep thy precepts.

Also, 2 Timothy 4:18:  And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto His heavenly kingdom:  to whom be glory for ever and ever.  Amen

Be encouraged! God will deliver us!

God Remembers – 12/31/2021  - for the Sabbath 1/1/2022

God remembered Noah when he was in the ark,

On Mt. Ararat, when the waters abated, the ark He did park.

God remembered Rachel and she did conceive,

And she had Joseph who in his Godly dreams he believed.

God gave Moses the commandments one day,

And said to remember the Sabbath to keep it holy God’s way.

Hannah cried out for God, to remember her, and her prayer was heard,

And God gave her Samuel, a great prophet, we read about in His Word.

I’m reminded that God knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust,

If we keep His commandments, we remember that He is Holy and Just.

He remembers us!

God’s Benefits Jan.7, 2022 for Sabbath Jan. 8, 2022

Psalm 103:2 Bless the Yehovah, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:

          He forgives our sins

          He heals all our diseases

He redeems our life from destruction

He crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies

He satisfies our mouth with good things; so that our youth is renewed like the eagles

He executes righteousness and judgement for all that are oppressed

He is slow to anger

He pities them that fear Him

He gave us salvation

He gave us Yeshua

He gave us eternal life through Yeshua’s blood

He gave us His Spirit

He gave us His word

And the list could go on and on.  Think of the things you can add to the list of God’s benefits.

We are truly blessed One In Messiah!

Jan.14, 2022 for Sabbath the 15th

When I sat down, I didn’t have a clue what to write.

I began to search my mind with all my might.

Then I remembered David who wrote so many wonderful Psalms,

How every night I listen to them and how sweetly they calm.

He tells how God gives His children peaceful sleep,

I fall asleep so peacefully, I don’t need to count sheep.

When I awake in the morning, I read another to start my day,

God sends His angels to protect me because that’s His way.

I’m thankful David so beautifully expressed about God’s mighty love.

No matter what happens in this world, I’ll keep my mind on God above.

He will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on Him!

Jan. 21, 2022

When the storms of life are raging, I know someone who can calm the sea.

Even if the storm still rages, He is there beside you to keep you from harm.

In that still small voice, He whispers “never fear, I am here.

There is peace in His presence, and He said He would never leave you nor forsake you.

You may not see the shore on the other side, but He is your lifeboat, and you will make it there.

Your life will be changed forever, but the strength and courage you gain will make you a worthy sailor.

Since God is the captain of the ship, the pain and heartache will eventually be washed away.

The calm will come, and it will be like a soft balmy breeze by the sea.

May the Spirit of the Living God be your Comforter!

Divine Blessings 2/4/2022

It is good to be reminded of God’s blessings.

I can’t think of a better way than to read Numbers 6: 23 – 27:

On this wise you shall bless the children’s of Israel, (that’s us), saying unto them,

Yehovah bless you, and keep you:

Yehovah make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you:

Yehovah lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, (that’s us): and I will bless them.

In this crooked and perverse world that we live in today, we would be wise to keep in mind that we are truly blessed by God Himself.

I choose to believe God and His Word!

How about you?

God Never Sleeps - 2.11.2022

As the day is winding down and I’m thinking about bed,

All the things I need to do before are bouncing around in my head.

Then I thought about God and how He never slumbers nor sleeps,

It gives me great comfort knowing during the night my soul He keeps.

To think the God who created the universe cares about me,

It calms any fear and helps me sleep so peacefully.

The angels encamp around me to keep me from harm,

I pray for Godly dreams and in the morning, I hear the alarm.

Then when I see the morning light,

I know He protected me all through the night.

Then I thank Him for a new day and tell Him I choose to please Him and walk in His ways.

This shall I do all of my days!

In His Image 2/18/2022

Our God has ears to hear, He is always near.

He has eyes to see, He protects me, I have nothing to fear.

He has a mouth to speak, and through His Word He makes it clear what we need to hear.

He has hands; I will never be utterly cast down for He upholds me with His hand.

He has feet, and He descended in the cloud and stood with Moses on the land.

And, oh yes, we are made in His image!

How wonderful is that!

The Amour of God -2/25/2022

When we join the God of Israel, we become a soldier in His army.  We are trained to know, first of all, God’s expectations of us, and then to know the enemy and how to defeat him.  We must be strong in Yehovah and in the power of His might.

God has provided us armor and we must put it on ourselves.  He said to put on the WHOLE armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we don’t fight against flesh and blood, but against spiritual enemies.

Therefore, we must take the armour and put it on to be able to stand in this evil day.

Our loins are gird about with TRUTH.  God’s word is truth and we must know it.

We must have on the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, which is keeping God’s commandments.

Our feet must be shod with the preparation of the GOSPEL OF PEACE, Yeshua is our peace.

Above all, taking the SHIELD OF FATIH, faith in Yeshua’ s blood, then we will be able to quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take up the HELMET OF SALVATION.  The helmet protects the mind.  We are to have the mind of Yeshua.

The SWORD OF THE SPIRIT which is the WORD OF GOD.  That’s why it is so important that we as a congregation read the Word always.

We must put it on and never take it off.  It stays on 24/7!

Old Age - 3/5/2022

I once was young but now I am old.

In God’s Word I heard it was told,

God said He would not cast me off in the time of old age.

So, with all my strength a good fight I will wage.

I will still bring forth fruit in old age it is said,

For God is my strength and the lifter up of my head.

I especially love what it says in Isaiah 46:4:

“And even to your old age I am He; and even to hoar hairs, will I carry you:  I have made,

and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.”

The message here is that it is not so bad getting old when you know and do God’s word.

Mary and Martha 3/12/2022

Now it came to pass, that Yeshua entered into a village called Bethany one day.

And a certain woman named Martha received Him into her home to stay.

She had a sister called Mary which sat at Yeshua’s feet to hear His Word,

But Martha was busy and in a dither about much serving, we have heard.

She said to Yeshua, “Don’t you care that my sister needs to help me?”

Yeshua said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are not thinking about what’s important, can’t you see?”

He said to Martha that one thing is needful for her to do,

To sit at His feet and listen to His Word too,

As Mary has done, and chose the good part, which shall not be taken away from her, Martha, so can you.

We are so blessed that we have the Spirit of God to give us wisdom, knowledge and understanding to read and study His Word.  To “sit at His feet” so to speak.

I want to be a Mary and not a Martha.

How about you?

The Lesson of the Onion - 3/18/22

Today as I took onions out of the cabinet, to my surprise one had a good size sprout.

I looked at it and realized I just couldn’t throw it out.

So, I set it aside and thought I would take it out to the garden and plant it.

There are other onions there so I found a place where it would fit.

It went from darkness to fertile soil and sunshine, all in one day.

Now it’s up to God to make it grow in it's own way.

Now to explain the lesson of the onion: God took us out of the darkness of our lives because He saw a sprout from our heart to live, He took us out and planted us in the fertile soil of His Word and gave us plenty of “Son” shine and Living Water.  My, how we have grown!

 4/1/2022 - God’s Present Loving kindness

I was almost blind but now I can see,

I saw as through a glass darkly but now it has become clear to me.

God though a physician a wonder was wrought,

But most importantly through Yeshua I am blood bought.

And through his great mercy and loving kindness,

My life was spared from eternal and physical blindness.

Praise Yah the Great Physician!

Our Astonishing God

In God I trusted and remained calm and composed

As others rushed around me, I suppose.

There was nothing they could do, oh but then they said wait …

A colleague has a recommendation that I shall take!

The procedure was performed, The righteous prayed and the physician he was amazed.

All praise goes to the God in whom we trust and obey!

4/8/2022 - A poem for Ethan and Esther

God made the beautiful flowers and the buzzing bumble bee,

He made the tall mountains, the little hills, and even a pretty cherry tree.

He made the whales and the dolphins and the fish in the sea.

He made white fluffy clouds and the sky so very blue,

And he created this wonderful world that is true.

And I am so glad he made both of you!

Trials and Tribulations according to God’s Word

How do you learn to overcome trials and tribulations according to God’s word?

You learn to overcome trials and tribulations by having trials and tribulations.

Yeshua said we would have trials and tribulations while we live on this earth.

Not only did Yeshua overcome trials and tribulations, he was beaten and hung on a tree, but he overcame the world!

In 2 Corinthians 11, Paul listed all the things he experienced as trials and tribulations and overcame them.

John was exiled to the Isle of Patmos and wrote Revelation.

Even though Peter denied Yeshua, he repented and was later imprisoned by Herod and miraculously released by an angel.

Paul and Silas were beaten, imprisoned, and put in stocks – yet they prayed and sang praises to God loud enough for the prisoners to hear, and an earthquake shook the foundations of the prison, and all the doors were opened, and their bands were loosed.

I was not beaten or hung on a tree. I have not been imprisoned, exiled, or placed in stocks.  I have not experienced the trials and tribulations of Paul.

Recently, I have been dealing with loss of sight which has taught me that I can overcome by the grace of God and understanding his word.  I refuse to murmur, complain, feel sorry for myself, or hopeless.

Although my life has changed drastically, I know that God says all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to his purpose, and I do love him and keep his commandments.

Yeshua said he would not give us more that we could bear, and I believe him.

Matthew 11: 28 says:

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Praise Yehovah

The Garden

Lately I have been gardening. In this process it has occurred to me how in God’s Word he talks about sowing and reaping.

First, you prepare good soil.  Next, you plant the seed.  When the plant begins to grow, it must be fed and watered.  I watch over my garden to make sure no pests or weeds overtake.

I diligently watch to make sure everything is ok.

To compare this process with my reading in God’s word, it gives a clear understanding about spiritual gardening.

From the parable of the Sower, we know that we must have good soil for God’s Word to take root.

We must make sure that we feed ourselves with the Word of God, our spiritual food.

We must keep out the weeds the enemy tries to sow that threaten to choke the plant:  false doctrines and influences of hypocrisy.

As plants in a garden need water to survive, we must drink from Yeshua’s well of living water to stay spiritually alive.

As plants need sunshine to grow, we need regular applications of “Son” shine to flourish. As we meet on the Sabbath we receive food, water, and “Son” shine to become a healthy witness for God.

As we live our daily lives we sow seeds according to God’s Word, then we feed and water those seeds, but only God gives the increase.

Pentecost Acrostic – 6/11/2022

Pentecost is tomorrow - Sunday

Power from on high as a mighty rushing wind

Entered the room of the awaiting faithful disciples

Now cloven tongues like fire sat upon each one from the Spirit of the living God

Tarrying in Jerusalem as Yeshua commanded them

Every nation under heaven was represented that day, Jewish devout men

Confounded multitude stood amazed hearing their own language

Opened up their hearts, received the word, repented, and were baptized, about 3000

Standing up with Peter were the eleven as he explained the prophesies of Joel and David

Testifying of the death, burial, and resurrection of Yeshua

Acts 2: 1-42 - Louise and Chery

7/7/2022 - FAITH Acrostic

Faith in Yeshua’ s blood is essential

Always remembering why He died

Instead of animals he became our sacrificial lamb

Then rising from the dead, he lives

Having repented from our past sins - we look toward life with Him for eternity

Hebrews 11: 1 says, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Even though we did not witness Messiah shedding his blood for our sins, according to the scriptures, we have faith in his Word that this is true.

Yeshua said in John 14:15, “If you love me, keep my commandments.”

Faith in Yeshua’s blood + keeping his commandments = Eternity with Yeshua

7.23.22 - Lessons Learned while Experiencing Visual Impairment

Since I cannot drive, I have learned there are other means of transportation:

·       Family

·       Friends

·       Public Transportation

Although I cannot read, I have learned my hearing is great, and I can listen. Indeed, I have learned that I have memorized more scripture than I realized.

I have learned I cannot see in the distance in front of me, but I am thankful I can look up and see the clouds in the sky!

I have learned that people, even strangers, are kind, considerate and helpful.

But most of all I have learned to be patient and I know that God is still here.

I remember that Romans 5 says:

[3] And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
[4] And patience, experience; and experience, hope: [5] And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

And 1 Peter 1 says:

[5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
[6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
[7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.  [8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua Messiah.

So, I focus on these things that I learned in the word of God and not the things I cannot do because of my limited physical sight.

July 30, 2022 God’ Faithful Messenger

Malachi, Malachi, your heavenly father loves you so,

He said for you to feed his sheep,

And teaching the truth of his Word to keep.

Never taking a salary, your time you freely give

Being a godly example in the life you live.

You are loved and appreciated by those you teach,

Who listen with thankful hearts as God’s word you preach.

Faithful and steadfast for 20 years,

Putting aside all adversity and fears,

Keeping the website working to reach the world today,

for those searching the truth to find The Way.

You prayed and stayed.

You fasted and lasted.

God has blessed you with godly wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Numbers 6:24 – 26

Yehovah bless thee, and keep thee:
Yehovah make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
Yehovah lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

God Numbers My Days - 9/3/2022

I have realized whether I am sick or well,

Only my God my years can tell.

If only He can number my days

I understand I should always walk in his ways.

I have made a commitment His commandments to keep

So, the promise of his benefits I will reap.

In Revelation 22:14

it can be clearly seen

if I keep his commandments, heaven’s gates will open wide

and I will be able to go inside.

I will see Messiah Yeshua who paid the way,

For me to be able to see this day.

Praise Yah!

Scripture reference Revelation 22:14 KJV “Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”

My Prayer   9/24/22 - My Heavenly Father,

I’m glad you know best and in your Word, I can fully rest.

You made me who I am in your flock I’m your little lamb.

You are the good shepherd, who leads me in the way I should go,

It’s your voice only that I hear and know.

And one day to heaven you will safely take me there,

Where I will live forever in your tender loving care.

There will never be the dark of night

For you are the bright and shining light!

          Thank you! Amen

11/12/2022  Living Sanctuary for God

This is an old song I learned in the past that had great meaning to me:

“Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary,

pure and holy, tried and true.

With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living,

Sanctuary, for you.”*

Although I liked the song, I realized corrections needed to be made.

God draws us to him.  We do the preparing and repenting.  We prepare by studying God’s word to learn his definition of sin = transgression of the law.  We repent for breaking those laws and make a covenant with God to not break his commandments and laws to be pure and holy.  When we are tried, we remain true.  That’s a living sanctuary.

I choose to be a living sanctuary for God.

Heaven a Breath Away 12/24/2022

Heaven is only a breath away.

The older I get the more I can say,

Heaven is only a breath away.

Then when in his presence I will fall at his feet

Because of my love for him, his commandments I did keep.

I can sing his praises continually since there is no need for sleep.

His countenance is so very bright,

and as you know I am glad there is no night!

With unspeakable joy, my praise will know no end,

I’ll join the holy angels with praises heard throughout heaven,

 Amen!

And by the way, hell is just a breath away.

And I will ask “Have you kept God’s commandments, or no?”

Hell is just a breath away for those that say no.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
