Shabbat Shalom

-------------------

All Welcome

-------------------------------

 Let’s pray

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, sins, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

 Amen

Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory, from the 1500’s

Today is April 17th, 2010

----

God has His own calendar

We are now in the 2nd month of God, Ziv / Zif – 2nd day

1 Kgs. 6 [1] And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of Yehovah.

æÄå - ziv - brightness, (figuratively) the month of flowers

***Make sure you change your Judaism calendars – The 2nd month is not Iyyar as Judaism states, it is Ziv.

  --------------------

God's Spring Calendar for 2010, these are the days left

Remember: There is one extra Sabbath left, besides the 7th day Sabbath each week

------------

This is the second Sabbath of the seven Sabbaths we were told to count.

We are counting the "Sabbaths" not omers

An "omer" is a "sheaf" of barley -òîø   omer - A dry measure of 1/10 ephah (about 2 liters)

-------------

Lev.23 [15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete:

[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

------------

2nd month of God, Ziv / Zif, April 16th (starts sunset April 15th)

------------

3rd month of God, Sivan, and May 16th (starts sunset of May 15th)

------------

Feast of Weeks / Pentecost is coming

Feast of Weeks, 50 - Pentecost - May 23th, 1st day of the week (Sunday), (starts sunset May 22th) 8th of Sivan, 50 days from First Fruits - a Sabbath  -  ***This would make it 2 Sabbaths in a row

------------

Paul doing Pentecost / Feast of Weeks

Acts 2 [1] And when the day of Pentecost / Feast of Weeks was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Acts 20 [16] For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost / Feast of Weeks.

1 Cor. 16 [8] But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost / Feast of Weeks.

Some News:

Yom HaZikaron äæëøåï éåí Israel Memorial Day

Yom Hazikron is the day on which Israel honors its war veterans and others who died in World war two and Victims of Terrorism.

Although Yom Hazikaron is normally observed on the 4th of Iyyar, / Ziv, it may be moved earlier or postponed if observance of the holiday (or Yom HaAtzma'ut, which always follows it) would conflict with Shabbat.

Yom HaAtzma'ut éåí äòöîàåúý -  May 14, 1948 - Yom HaAtzma'ut is the national independence day of Israel, commemorating its declaration of independence in 1948

I explain the Sabbath each week

This is how simple it is:

Exod. 20

[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

 ------------

Deut. 5

[12] Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as Yehovah thy God hath commanded thee.
[13] Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
[14] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

[15] And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that Yehovah thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore Yehovah thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.
------------

Lev. 23

[3] Six days shall work be done:

but

the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;

ye shall do no work therein:

it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

--------

Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him,

1 - not doing thine own ways,

2 - nor finding thine own pleasure,

3 - nor speaking thine own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

------------------------

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

------------------------

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts

60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath!

--------------------

Let's see what Yeshua, Paul and the Apostles did:

Acts 13 [13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.  [14] But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down.  [15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

----

Acts 15 [21] For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day.
----

Luke 4 [16] And he, Yeshua came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom (prescribed by God's law) was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read.  [17] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.

----

Acts 13: [27] For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.

----

Acts 13 [42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

[44] And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

----

First day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread

Luke. 23 [56] And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

----

"In the future"

Yeshua said in Matt. 24 [20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:

Isa. 66 - A Sabbath, even after the new heavens and the new earth are created

[22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith Yehovah, so shall your seed and your name remain.

[23] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all (new body) flesh come to worship before me, saith Yehovah.

[24] And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

Today's topic: 2nd week of the "7 week" journey to meet God

How are you behaving these 50 days? (Physically and Spiritually)

From slaves in Egypt to the people of God

Your testimony

Just a few verses:

2 Thes. 1

[10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

2 Tim. 1

[8] Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Heb. 3

[5] And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

Heb. 11

[5] By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

Rev. 6

[9] And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

Rev. 11 the 2 Witnesses

[7] And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

Rev. 12

[11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

You are the "Temple of the Living God" and the "Light of the World"

**Dress code**

People ask me all the time what to wear, as far as a dress code, all you have to do is remember that you are the "Temple of the Living God" and the "Light of the World". This should tell you how to dress.

God says be "HOLY" not sexy.

1 Pet. 1 [13] Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah; [14] As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

[15] But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

[16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

------------------------

Lev. 20 [7] Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am Yehovah your God.

------------------------

Heb. 12 [14] Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see Yehovah:

------------------------

Paul says:

1 Tim. 2 [9]… that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; but (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works

Shamefacedness: Modesty or (towards God) awe - reverence

Sobriety: Soundness of mind, that is, (literally) sanity or (figuratively) self control: - soberness, sobriety, moderate as to opinion or passion)- discreet

------------------------

Nakedness is SIN

Hab. 2 [15] Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!

------------------------

Gen. 2 [1] Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which Yehovah God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
[2] And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
[3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
[4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
[5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
[6] And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.[7] And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

[10] And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. [11] And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

Gen. 9 [22] And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. [23] And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.

[24] And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
[25] And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.

------------------------

Exod. 20 [22] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
[23] Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
[24] An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
[25] And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.

[26] Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

------------------------

Exod. 32 [25] And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)

------------------------

Lev. 18 [6] None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am Yehovah. [7] The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. [8] The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness. [9] The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover. [10] The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness. [11] The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. [12] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman. [13] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman. [14] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt. [15] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy daughter in law: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness. [16] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness. [17] Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness. [18] Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time. [19] Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.

------------------------

Lev. 20 [11] And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

[17] And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity. [18] And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people. [19] And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, nor of thy father's sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity. [20] And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he hath uncovered his uncle's nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless. [21] And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

Are you born again?

--------------------------------

John 3

[1] There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
[2] The same came to Yeshua by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

[3] Yeshua answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

[4] Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

[5] Yeshua answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

[6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

[7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

[8] The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
[9] Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
[10] Yeshua answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
[11] Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
[12] If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
------------------------

1 Pet. 1

[22] Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
[23] Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
[24] For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
[25] But the word of Yehovah endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

------------------------

Are you a new creature, new man / woman?

2 Cor. 5 [17] Therefore if any man be in Messiah, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Eph. 4 [24] And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Col. 3 [10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:

------------------------

Paul writes to the Colossians

Col. 3

[1] If ye then be risen with Messiah, seek those things which are above, where Messiah sitteth on the right hand of God.
[2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
[3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Messiah in God.
[4] When Messiah, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
[5] Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
[6] For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
[7] In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
[8] But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
[9] Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
[10] And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
[11] Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Messiah is all, and in all.
[12] Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
[13] Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Messiah forgave you, so also do ye.
[14] And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
[15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
[16] Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to Yehovah.
[17] And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of Yehovah Yeshua, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
[18] Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in Yehovah.
[19] Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
[20] Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto Yehovah.
[21] Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
[22] Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
[23] And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to Yehovah, and not unto men;
[24] Knowing that of Yehovah ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve Yehovah Messiah.
[25] But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

------------------------

As we make our "7 week" journey to meet God, ask yourselves these 2 questions:

How are you behaving these 50 days? (Physically and Spiritually)

Are you truly born again of the Spirit?

------------------------

It is good to always examine ourselves and prove all things

2 Cor. 13 [5] Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Yeshua the Messiah is in you, except ye be reprobates?

1 Thes. 5 [21] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
