back to - Lev.16[16] And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.[17] And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.

[31] It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, שַׁבַּת שַׁבָּתוֹן הִיא לָכֶם and ye shall afflict your souls, וְעִנִּיתֶם אֶת־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם by a statute for ever. חֻקַּת, עוֹלָם

Heb.10[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

Lev.23[27] Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. [28] And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. יוֹם הַכִּפֻּרִים
