blessings בִּרְכֹת

The first blessings

וַיְבָרֶךְ אֹתָם אֱלֹהִים

Gen.1 [22] [ 20] And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.[21 ] And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.

[26] And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness :

וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים, נַעֲשֶׂה אָדָם בְּצַלְמֵנוּ כִּדְמוּתֵנוּ and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.[ 27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

[28] And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Sabbath

Gen.2[ 3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made

Yeshua's blessings

Matt.5:[1 ] And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: [2] And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
[
3] Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[
4] Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
[
5] Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
[
6] Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
[
7] Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
[
8] Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
[
9] Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
[
10] Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[
11] Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
[
12] Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Matt.13[ 16] But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.[17 ] For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Last Blessings

Rev.22[ 7] Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

[14] Blessed are they that do his commandments , that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

שָׂמַחְתָּ

thou ( you ) shalt rejoice

Deut.16 [13 ] Thou shalt observe the feast of tabernacles seven days, after that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:[14] And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast , thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.[15 ] Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.[ 16] Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:[ 17] Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.

Neh.8[14] And they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month: [15] And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written. [16] So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim. [17] And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so.

And there was very great gladness. שִׂמְחָה, גְּדוֹלָה מְאֹד

The Lord's Feasts vs. pagan holidays

Eph.4 [27] Neither give place to the devil.

Rom.3[ 8] And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

I do understand it is difficult sometimes to depart from these pagan made-up feasts we were indoctrinated into since childhood. I myself had to pray and study to understand. Please take it slow, pray and search the scriptures, all the answers are there.

Shalom - שָׁלוֹם
