What our sins do to us, others and every thing around us

Please be careful this 5th month of God ( known as Av by Judaism, not scripture). Remember Jerusalem and both Temples were burned down to the ground. Our enemy satan is aware of this, expect high spiritual and physical activity. Pray, fast and read. Get a hold of God.

The first and second Temples were burnt down in the fifth month, tenth day of the month of God's calendar. (the first by the Babylonians in 586 B.C. and the second by the Romans in 70 A.D) Although this month is primarily meant to understand why Jerusalem and the Temples's destruction took place, it is appropriate to consider the examples set forth for us of sin and judgment.

1Kgs.9

[1] And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,
[2] That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.
[3] And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.
[4] And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
[5] Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
[6] But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
[7] Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:
[8] And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?
[9] And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

Some thought: In this month in history there are many other tragedies of the Jewish people, most notably the expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492 and in the year 1290 an edict was signed that forced the Jews to leave England.

notes:

Jer.52[ 6] And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month ,

בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרְבִיעִי בְּתִשְׁעָה לַחֹדֶשׁ

the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.[ 7 ] Then the city was broken up , and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.

[12] Now in the fifth month , in the tenth day of the month ,

וּבַחֹדֶשׁ הַחֲמִישִׁי, בֶּעָשׂוֹר לַחֹדֶשׁ

which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar-adan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,[13 ] And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:[ 14 ] And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about

2Kgs.25[10] And all the army of the Chaldees, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.

Our Sins

Isa.59[1] Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
[2] But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Jer. 5[25] Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

John 9[31] Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

[11] And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah. [12] Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.
