God's New Year ( March / April - Spring )

Esth.3 [ 7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan

בַּחֹדֶשׁ הָרִאשׁוֹן, הוּא חֹדֶשׁ נִיסָן

Exod.12[ 2] This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Lev.23[ 2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, מוֹעֲדֵי יְהוָה which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts . מוֹעֲדָי

[4 ] These are the feasts of the LORD , even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.

אֵלֶּה מוֹעֲדֵי יְהוָה, מִקְרָאֵי קֹדֶשׁ, אֲשֶׁר־תִּקְרְאוּ אֹתָם, בְּמוֹעֲדָם

[37 ] These are the feasts of the LORD, מוֹעֲדֵי יְהוָה which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:

[44] And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the LORD. וַיְדַבֵּר מֹשֶׁה, אֶת־מֹעֲדֵי יְהוָה, אֶל־בְּנֵי, יִשְׂרָאֵל

 

The Spring Feasts of the Lord were fulfilled by the Messiah's first coming!

Passover - Pesach - When did Yeshua - Jesus die?

Nisan 14 - Yeshua died on Thursday at 3:00 pm Matt:27:45 - 1st. day

Remembering the deliverance from Egyptian bondage. An unblemished firstborn male lamb was sacrificed and its blood poured on the altar. A lamb was selected for each family, and four days before the lamb was to be slain it was brought into the home for a four-day examination period. Jesus is the sacrificial lamb who died for our sins. On Nisan 14 at the exact time the lamb was to be slain, Jesus was slain. Jesus also had a four-day examination period before the religious leaders and was found without blemish. Yeshua / Jesus had his meal with his disciples in the night, ( begining of the 14th ), died on the 14th in the daytime hours and put in the tomb all before the the 15th, which is a sabbath.

Feast of Unleavened Bread / Hag HaMatzah

Nisan 15 - a Sabbath - 1st. night- 2nd day (Fri.)

Leaven symbolizes sin. Unleavened Bread speaks of sanctification. God told the Jews to cleanse all leaven from their homes and eat only unleavened bread, matzah, for seven days, symbolizing a holy walk with Him. Jesus is the "Bread of Life" without sin. Born in Bethlehem. In Hebrew, Bethlehem means house of bread. Just as matzah is unleavened, ( sign of no sin ) so was the Messiah sinless.

Nisan 16 - a Sabbath - 2nd. night - 3nd. day (Sat.)

Day of Firstfruits / Bikkurim

Nisan 17 - 3rd. night,

Nisan 17 then as the sun did rise - Mark 16:2

early the first day of the week, Sunday -Yeshua rose from the Dead which is 3 days and 3 nights later

The first of the barley harvest was brought as an offering to the priest in the Tabernacle/Temple. The priest would present the first of the harvest unto the Lord by waving them back and forth. This reminded the Hebrews that God gave them the land, and the harvest belonged to Him. 1 Cor. 15:20-23). Jesus' resurrection marked the beginning of the harvest of souls. John 12:23-24,32 shows Jesus was likened to a grain of wheat falling to the ground and dying to produce a great harvest. Jesus arose on Firstfruits.

Fifty day later:

Feast of Weeks/Shavuot- Pentecost where the Holy Spirit empowered the believers.

These fall feasts and holy convocations represent the Second Coming of the Messiah.

The fall Feasts of the Lord are in the "7th month called Ethanim not Tishri".

1Kgs.8 [2] And all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

Blowing of the Trumpets
Lev.23:[24] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.

Day of atonement
[27] Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

Feast of tabernacles
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. [39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. [41] And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.

We need to educate the churches about who should participate in God's feasts

Exod.12[ 48] And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land : for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.

Deut.10[ 16] Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart , and be no more stiffnecked.

Deut.30[ 6] And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.

Jer.4[ 4] Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.

Ezek.44[ 7] In that ye have brought into my sanctuary strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in my sanctuary , to pollute it, even my house, when ye offer my bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my covenant because of all your abominations. [8 ] And ye have not kept the charge of mine holy things: but ye have set keepers of my charge in my sanctuary for yourselves.[ 9] Thus saith the Lord GOD; No stranger, uncircumcised in heart, nor uncircumcised in flesh , shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

2Cor.7[ 1] Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit , perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

 

We need to educate the churches about who was the new covenant given to?

Jer.31 31] Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel , and with the house of Judah :[32 ] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:[ 33] But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel ; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.[34] And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more .

Heb.8[ 7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. ( covenant ) [8 ] For finding fault with them, ( the people ) he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:[ 9] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord .[10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:[11 ] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.[12 ] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more .[13 ] In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

We need to educate the churches about what is the new covenant.

Heb.8[ 8] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
[4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
[5] Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me :[6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

Pss.40[ 6] Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.[7 ] Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,[ 8] I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart

Isa.1[11] To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

[12] When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts?

13] Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.

Prov.15 [8] The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

1Sam.15[ 22] And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Jer.7[ 21] Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.
[22] For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:[23] But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.[24 ] But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.[25] Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them:[26] Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.[27] Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.[ 28] But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

Mic.6[ 8] He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Heb.10[7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

[8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
[9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God.

10 He taketh away the first ( covenant ) establish the second. ( covenant )
[10] By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
[11] And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
[12] But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
[13] From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
[14] For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
[15] Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

[16] This is the covenant ( from Jer. 31: 32 to 34 ) that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;[17] And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

[18] Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.[ 19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus / Yeshua.[ 20] By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh ;[21] And having an high priest over the house of God;[22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water .[23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)[24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:[ 25] Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.[26] For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,[27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.[28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:[29] Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?[30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.[31] It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

We need to educate the churches about keeping the Commandments

Read Exod. 20 - Deut. 5

1Chr.28[ 9] And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever .

2Chr.15[1 ] And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:[2] And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you .

Exod.16[ 28] And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?

Exod.20[ 6] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Lev.22[ 31] Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD.

Lev.26[ 3] If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them ;

[6] But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:[7] Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:[8] And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?[9] And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

2Kgs.17[ 13] Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my comm andments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.

Neh.1[ 9] But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.

Prov.3[ 1] My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

Deut.27[ 10] Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

Pss.103[ 20] Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments , hearkening unto the voice of his word.

Pss.111[ 10] The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Rev.22[ 14] Blessed are they that do his commandments , that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

We need to educate the churches about keeping the Sabbath

Exod.16[ 23] And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.

Neh.913 ] Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:[14 ] And madest known unto them thy holy sabbath , and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:

( the 4th Commandment ) Exod.20 [8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9 ] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:[ 10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: [11 ] For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Exod.31[ 13] Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; כִּי אוֹת הִוא בֵּינִי וּבֵינֵיכֶם, לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. [ 14] Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. [15 ] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. [ 16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

Lev.19[ 3] Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths : I am the LORD your God.

[30] Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

Lev.23[ 3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

Lev.24 [8] Every sabbath he shall set it in order before the LORD continually, being taken from the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant.

Lev.26 [2] Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.

Luke.23[ 56] And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

 

We need to educate the churches about what is sin

Jas.4[17] Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Rom.7[ 11] For sin, "taking occasion" ( going around ) by the commandment , deceived me, and by it slew me .

1John.3 [4]Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law ( Torah ) : for sin is the transgression of the law ( torah ).

[8] He that committeth sin is of the devil ; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

1John.2[1 ] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

Rev.21 [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

 

We need to educate the churches to put a difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean

Lev.10[ 10] And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean;[11 ] And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

Lev.11 [47] To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten.

Lev.20[ 25] Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

Ezek.22[ 26] Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.

Ezek.44[23] And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.

Deut.23[ 14] For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy : that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.

Hag.2[ 13] Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.

 

We need to educate the churches about teaching their children

Deut.11[ 19] And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
