"the remnant according to the election of grace"

John.4 [22]... salvation is of the Jews.

1Pet.1[ 9] Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.[10 ] Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:[11] Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ , and the glory that should follow.[12 ] Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things , which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

Heb.1[ 1] God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,[2 ] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;[ 3] Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;[4 ] Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.[ 5] For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

Rom.8[ 9] But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ , he is none of his.

-------------

Rom.11 [29] For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Rom.9[ 1] I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,[ 2] That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.[3 ] For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:[4] Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;[5] Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Israelites; to whom pertaineth:

the adoption

They are God's chosen people. God had chosen the people of Israel, from all of the peoples of the Earth. He made a covenant with them and declared them to be His people, and He to be their God. Out of all the peoples of the earth, Israel received the adoption as sons.

Amos.3[ 2] You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Jer.31[31 ] Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:[ 32] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:[33] But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. [34] And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.[35 ] Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:[ 36] If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.[37 ] Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.

Heb.8[ 8] For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:[9 ] Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.[ 10] For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
[
11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
[
12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.[13] In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old . Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Gal.4[1 ] Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;[ 2] But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.[3 ] Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:[4 ] But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,[5 ] To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.[6 ] And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father .[7] Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Rom.8[ 15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father .

[23] And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Mark.14[ 36] And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.

the glory

The Glory of God is in many places in scripture. God met with the people of Israel in the Tabernacle. His glory accompanied them. His Presence went with them.

Exod.33[ 14] And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest . פָּנַי יֵלֵכוּ, וַהֲנִחֹתִי לָךְ

Exod.24 [16] And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. [17 ] And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

Exod.40[ 34] Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. [35 ] And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

the covenants

The Covenant God made with Abraham, the Covenant God made with Isaac, the Covenant God made with Jacob, all of the Covenants were given to the people of Israel.

the giving of the law

God met them at the mount and gave to them His commandments.

the service of God

They were instructed on how to worship God in a way that would be pleasing in His sight.

Heb.5[ 4] And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron . ( priesthood )

the promises

All of the promises were given to the Israel of God specifically so that they might claim them and walk in them, and be the recipients of the blessing of the Promises.

Whose are the fathers,

Those holy, righteous men like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the great patriarchs of Israel were theirs, of the Jews.

and of whom as concerning the flesh Messiah / Christ came,

The ancestry of Messiah.. The Messiah who would come in the person of Yeshua / Jesus was revealed to the world the Jewish people.

Pss.132[ 11] The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I ( Messiah ) set upon thy throne.

Rev.5[ 5]...... the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David,

John.4[ 9] Then saith the woman of Samaria unto Yeshua / him, How is it that thou, being a Jew

who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

Rom.3 [1] What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? [2] Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

Gal.2 [6].... God accepteth no man's person

Having the right opportunities and information does not guarantee people will make the right choices.

Acts.3[ 12] And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel , why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?[ 13] The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers ,

[26] Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Yeshua / Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Rom.1[ 16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first , and also to the Greek.

Rom.2[ 6] Who will render to every man according to his deeds:[7 ] To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:[8 ] But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,[ 9] Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first , and also of the Gentile;[10 ] But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:[11] For there is no respect of persons with God.

Matt.20 [16] So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Rev.12 [17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah / Jesus the Christ.

[30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified .

Rom.8[ 28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Rom.11[ 1] I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. [2] God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew . Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,[3 ] Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.[ 4] But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.[5 ] Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace .[6] And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.[ 7] What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

Matt.15[ 12] Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?[13] But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.[14] Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind . And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Matt.23[ 16] Woe unto you, ye blind guides, [ 17] Ye fools and blind: [19 ] Ye fools and blind : [24] Ye blind guides,[ 26] Thou blind Pharisee,

Rom.11[ 8] (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.
[
9] And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them:[10] Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.[ 11] I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.[ 12] Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?[13 ] For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:[14 ] If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.[15 ] For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?[ 16] For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.[ 17] And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;[ 18] Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.[ 19] Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.
[
20] Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:[ 21] For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.[ 22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.[ 23] And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.
[
24] For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

[25 ] For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;
that blindness in part is happened to Israel , until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in

[26] And so all Israel shall be saved : ( that is the remnant according to the election of grace, verse 5 )

Rom.9[ 6] ... . For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:[7] Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children : but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Rom.11....as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:[27] For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.[ 28] As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election , they are beloved for the fathers' sakes .[29] For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.[ 30] For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:[ 31] Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.[ 32] For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.[33 ] O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out![34] For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller?[ 35] Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?[36 ] For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever.

Amen
