Today, we are still using the
Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s which he introduced it as a modification of, and
replacement for the Julian
calendar.
Today’s
date: in Oct. 12, 2024
We
are in the seventh month, ha Ethanim - day 8
הָאֵתָנִים - ha Ethanim – 1Kings 8:2
Today’s Topic:
First,
we shall go over the feasts of Yehovah that are left
to accomplish again.
You know, these fall
holidays and feast that we do in rehearsal
point to the end of the world and the second coming of our Lord Yeshua in some one’s lifetime in the future.
Lev.23 [1] And Yehovah spoke unto
Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
[3] Six days shall work
be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an
holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all
your dwellings.
[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy
convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.
[23] And Yehovah
spoke unto Moses, saying,
[24] Speak unto the children of Israel,
saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall you have a sabbath,
a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an
holy convocation.
[25] You shall do no servile work
therein: but you shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.
We
completed this above
[26] And Yehovah
spoke unto Moses, saying,
[27] Also on
the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it
shall be an holy convocation unto you; and you shall afflict your souls, and
offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.
[28] And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to
make an atonement for you before Yehovah
your God.
[29] For whatsoever soul it be that shall not
be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
[30] And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the
same soul will I destroy from among his people.
[31] You shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever
throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
[32]
It shall be unto you a Sabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls: in
the ninth day of the month at even,
from even
unto even, shall you celebrate your sabbath.
[33] And Yehovah
spoke unto Moses, saying,
[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month
shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto Yehovah.
[35] On the first day shall be an holy convocation:
you shall do no servile work therein.
[36] Seven days you shall offer an
offering made by fire unto Yehovah: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and you
shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah: it is a solemn assembly; and you shall
do no servile work therein.
[37] These are the feasts of Yehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy
convocations, to
offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah, a burnt
offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:
[38] Beside the sabbaths of Yehovah, and
beside your gifts, and beside all your vows, and beside all your freewill
offerings, which you give unto Yehovah.
[39] Also in the fifteenth day of
the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you
shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days: on the first day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.
[40] And you shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees,
branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the
brook; and you shall rejoice before Yehovah your God seven days.
[41] And you shall keep it a
feast unto Yehovah seven days in the year. It
shall be a statute for ever in your generations: you shall celebrate it in the seventh
month.
[42] You shall dwell in booths seven
days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:[43] That your
generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths,
when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah
your God.
[44] And Moses declared unto the
children of Israel the feasts of Yehovah.
And so
do I…
A short topic for today
2024 - Approx. 2000 years later,
We are still waiting for the end of the world and Messiah
to return
I noticed, a while back, there are many references
to the return of Yeshua some day in the future.
Here are a few to ponder again:
Paul to the Gentiles, nations:
1 Thes.1 [9] For they themselves show of us
what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how you turned to God from
idols to serve the living and true God; [10] …to wait
for the Fathers’s Son from heaven,
whom the Father raised from the dead, even Yeshua, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Matt.16 [28]
Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of
death, until they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
I know we read this chapter many times, however it is talking
about the return of Yeshua one day.
Matt.24
[1] And Yeshua went out, and departed from the temple:
and his disciples came to him for to show
him the buildings of the temple.
[2] And Yeshua said unto them, See you not all these
things?
verily I say unto you, There shall not be
left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
[3] And as
he sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him
privately, saying,
Tell us, when shall these
things be?
and what shall be the sign of your coming,
and of the end of the world?
[4] And Yeshua answered and said unto them, Take
heed that no man deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Messiah; and shall
deceive many.
[6] And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not
troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
[8] All these are the
beginning of sorrows.
[9] Then shall they
deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of
all nations for my name's sake.
[10] And then shall
many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
[13] But he that shall
endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be
preached in all the world for a witness unto
all nations;
and then shall the end come.
[15] When you therefore
shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet in
9:27, stand(ing) in the holy place, (the 3rd Temple)
(whoso reads, let him understand:)
[16] Then let them
which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
[17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out
of his house:
[18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his
clothes.
[19] And woe
unto them that are with child,
and to
them that give suck in those days!
[20] But pray
you that your flight be not in the winter, neither
on the Sabbath day
[21] For then shall be
great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this
time, no, nor ever shall be.
[22] And except
those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the
elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Messiah, or there;
believe it not.
[24] For there shall arise false Messiah, and false prophets, and shall
show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall
deceive the very elect.
[25] Behold, I have
told you before.
[26] Wherefore if
they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he
is in the secret chambers; believe it not.
[27] For as the lightning
cometh out of the east, and shins even unto the west; so shall also the coming
of the Son of man be.
[28] For where ever
the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
[29] Immediately
after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon
shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers
of the heavens shall be shaken:
[30] And then shall
appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then
shall all the tribes of the earth mourn,
and they shall see the Son of man coming in the
clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and
they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of
heaven to the other.
[32] Now
learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and
puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh:
[33] So likewise
you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the
doors.
[34] Verily I say
unto you, This generation shall
not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
[35] Heaven and
earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
[36] But of
that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father
only.
[37] But as
the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[38] For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered
into the ark,
[39] And knew not
until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[40] Then shall two
be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
[41] Two women shall
be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
[42] Watch
therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord doth come.
[43] But know this
that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come,
he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
[44] Therefore be you also
ready: for in such an hour as you think not
the Son of man cometh.
[45] Who then is a
faithful and wise servant, whom his lord had made ruler over his household, to
give them meat in due season?
[46] Blessed is that
servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
[47] Verily I say
unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his
goods.
[48] But and if that evil
servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming;
[49] And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with
the drunken;
[50] The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him,
and in an hour that he is not aware of,
[51] And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
There are similar
accounts of this above in Mark and Luke
Yeshua made many references to his future return
Matt.26 [64] Yeshua said
unto him, you have said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall you see the Son of man sitting on
the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Mark 14 [61] …. Again the high priest asked
him, and said unto him, Are you the Messiah, the Son of the
Blessed? [62] And Yeshua said, I am (the Messiah):
and you
shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power,
and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Paul
1 Cor.1
[4] I thank my God
always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Yeshua the Messiah;
[5] That in everything you are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in
all knowledge;
[6] Even as the testimony of Messiah was confirmed in you: [7]
So that you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of
our Lord Yeshua the Messiah: [8]
Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day
of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
1 Thes.3
[11] Now God himself
and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.
[12] And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward
another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: [13] To the
end he may establish your hearts unblameable in
holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our
Lord Yeshua the Messiah with all his
saints.
1 Thes.4
[15] For this we say
unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the
coming of the Lord shall not prevent (go before) them
which are asleep.
[16] For the Lord
himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first:
[17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
the Lord.
[18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1 Thes.5 [23] … the very God of peace sanctify you
wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved
blameless unto the coming of our Lord Yeshua the
Messiah.
2 Thes.2
[1] Now we beseech
you, brethren, by the coming of our
Lord Yeshua the Messiah, and by our
gathering together unto him,
[2] That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by
spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Messiah is at
hand.
[3] Let no man
deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a
falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
[4] Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that
is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself
that he is God.
[5] Remember you not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these
things?
[6] And now you know what withholds that he might be revealed in his
time.
[7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now lets will let, until he be
taken out of the way.
[8] And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume
with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his
coming:
[9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power
and signs and lying wonders,
[10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
[11] And for this
cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
[12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had
pleasure in unrighteousness.
[13] But we are
bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord,
because God had from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification
of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
[14] Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the
glory of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.
[15] Therefore, brethren, stand
fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word,
or our epistle.
[16] Now our
Lord Yeshua the Messiah himself, and God,
even our Father, which had loved us, and had given us everlasting consolation
and good hope through grace,
[17] Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.
Jas.5
[7] Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the
coming of the Lord.
Behold, the husbandman
waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and had long patience for it, until
he receive the early and latter rain.
[8] Be you also
patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws
nigh.
2 Pet.3
[1] This second
epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds
by way of remembrance:
[2] That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the
holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and
Savior:
[3] Knowing this
first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own
lusts,
[4] And
saying, where is the promise of his coming?
for since the fathers fell asleep, all things
continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
[5] For this they
willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and
the earth standing out of the water and (then) in the water:
[6] Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water,
perished:
[7] But the
heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are
kept in store, reserved
unto fire against the day of
judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
[8] But, beloved, be
not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand
years, and a thousand years as one day.
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
[10] But the
day of the Lord will come as a
thief in the night; in the which the
heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with
fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
[11] Seeing then
that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to
be in all holy conversation and godliness,
[12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God,
wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall
melt with fervent heat?
[13] Nevertheless
we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein
dwells righteousness.
Isa.65 [17] For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not
be remembered, nor come into mind.
Isa.66 [22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall
remain before me, saith Yehovah
so shall your seed and your name remain.
Back to 2 Peter
[14] Wherefore,
beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be
found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
[15] And account
that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother
Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him had written unto you;
[16] As also in all
his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard
to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do
also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
[17] You therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest you also, being led away with the
error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
[18] But grow in
grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Yeshua the
Messiah. To Him be glory both now and
forever. Amen.
