שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם
Today, we sadly use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.
October 7, 2023
Yehovah has His own calendar which is deleted from the world
God’s calendar - ha ethanim day 21
Our 7 day feast of Tabernacles will be over this evening
Sunday is a Sabbath the great last day.
Today’s topic:
A change in the law
(Of
animal sacrifices)
Sacrifices and offerings
Psalm 40
[6] Sacrifice and offering you did
not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering have you not required.
[7] Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,[8]
I delight to do your will, O my God: yea, your law is within my heart.
Psalm 51
[15] O Lord, open my lips; and
my mouth shall show forth your praise.
[16] For you desire not sacrifice; else
would I give it: you delight not in burnt offering.
[17] The sacrifices of God are a
broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Hos.6
[6] For I desired mercy, and not
sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more
than burnt offerings.
Jer. 7
[22] For I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day
that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
[23] But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God,
and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded
you, that it may be well unto you.
Proverbs 21
[3] To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to Yehovah
than sacrifice.
Our sacrifices and offerings today
Rom.12 [1] I
beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is
your reasonable service
You present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy
Phil.4
[18] But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.
The things which were sent from you
Heb.13
[15] By him, Yeshua
therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God
continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
[16] But to
do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices
God is well pleased.
Doing good
and to communicate are sacrifices
The fruit of our lips
The calves of our lips
Hos.14
[1] O Israel, return unto Yehovah
thy God; for you have fallen by your iniquity. [2] Take with you words,
and turn to Yehovah: say unto him, Take away all
iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
1Pet.2
[5] You also, as lively stones, are built up a
spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices,
acceptable to God by Yeshua the Messiah.
to offer up spiritual sacrifices
[1] For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
[2] For then would they not have ceased to be
offered? Because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more
conscience of sins.
[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins
every year.
[4] For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. - forever
[5] Wherefore when He cometh into the world, he
said, Sacrifice and offering you would
not but a body have you prepared me:
[6] In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin
thou hast had no pleasure.
[7] Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it
is written of me,) to do your will, O God.
[8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and
burnt offerings and offering for sin would not, neither had pleasure therein; which are
offered by the law;
[9] Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will, O God.
He takes away the first that he may establish the second.
[10] …we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Yeshua the Messiah once for all.
[11] And every priest stands daily ministering and
offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: forever
[12] But this man, after he had offered one
sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;
[13] From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Gal.3
[19] Wherefore
then serve the law (of animal sacrifices)? It was added because of transgressions, till the
seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in
the hand of a mediator.
[7] For if that first covenant had been
faultless, then should no place have been sought for
the second.
[8] For finding fault with them (the people), he said, Behold, the days come, said Yehovah, when I will make a new covenant with the house
of Israel and with the house of Judah:
[9] Not according to the covenant
that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to
lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant,
and I regarded them not, said Yehovah.
10] For this is the covenant
that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, said Yehovah;
I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their
hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
[11] And they shall not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yehovah: for all shall know me, from the least to the
greatest.
[12] For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and
their iniquities will I remember no more.
[13] In that he said, a new
covenant, he
had made the first old.
Now that which decayed and waxed old is ready to vanish away. It is gone…
From - Jer.31: 31 - 34
Heb. 7
[11] If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the
law of sacrifices).
What further need was there that another priest should rise after
the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the
order of Aaron?
[12] For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a
change also of the law. (of sacrifices)
[13] For he of whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe,
of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
[14] For it is evident that our Lord Yeshua
sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
[15] And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchizedek / Melchisedec -
There
arises another priest, [16] Who is made, not after the
law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
[17] For he testified, You are a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec.
Pss.110
[4] Yehovah had sworn, and will
not repent, you are a priest for ever after
the order of Melchizedek.
[18] And Melchizedek
king of Salem which is, King of
peace; brought forth bread and wine:
and he was the priest of the most high God.
[19] And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the
most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:
[20] And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered your enemies
into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.
