Today we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s

Today is March 30, 2019 - in the 21 Century

March -- Mars' month

March was the original beginning of the year and the time for the resumption of war.

Mars is the Roman god of war. He is identified with the Greek god Ares.

Yehovah has His own calendar: We have a leap year this year

It is now Adar 2, day 22

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts

Acts: 13 [15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets…

Luke 24 [44] And Yeshua said unto them, These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

A profile on our enemy Satan

Know and remember your enemy

Rev.12 [7] And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, [8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
[9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:
he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Two chapters to study pertaining to Satan

Ezek.28

Isa.14

-------------

A short review of some activities to take to heart:

Gen.1[4] And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

[10] And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

[12] And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

[18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

[21] And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

[25] And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

[31] And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Then…

Gen.3[1] Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which Yehovah God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

[17] And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
[18] Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
[19] In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

[23] Therefore Yehovah God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
[24] So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Gen.4

[1] And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from Yehovah.
[2] And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
[3] And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto Yehovah.
[4] And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And Yehovah had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
[5] But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
[6] And Yehovah said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
[7] If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

[8] And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

[9] And Yehovah said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
[10] And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
[11] And
now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
[12] When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.

Wondering in the wilderness “40” years

Exod.16

[1] And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.
[2] And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:
[3] And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of Yehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

Exod.17

[1] And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of Yehovah, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink.
[2] Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt Yehovah?
[3] And the people thirsted there for water; and the people murmured against Moses, and said, Wherefore is this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?

Num.14

[1] And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.
[2] And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!
[3] And wherefore hath Yehovah brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
[4] And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

Num.14[33] And your children shall wander in the wilderness forty years, and bear your whoredoms, until your carcases be wasted in the wilderness.[34] After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

Deut.31

[1] And Moses went and spake these words unto all Israel.
[2] And he said unto them, I am an hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also Yehovah hath said unto me, Thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
[3] Yehovah thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as Yehovah hath said.
[4] And Yehovah shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.
[5] And Yehovah shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
[6] Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for Yehovah thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

[7] And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the land which Yehovah hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it.
[8] And Yehovah, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

[9] And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of Yehovah, and unto all the elders of Israel.

[10] And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles,
[11] When all Israel is come to appear before Yehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

[12] Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear Yehovah your God, and observe to do all the words of this law:
[13] And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear Yehovah your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

[14] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Behold, thy days approach that thou must die: call Joshua, and present yourselves in the tabernacle of the congregation, that I may give him a charge. And Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the tabernacle of the congregation.

[15] And Yehovah appeared in the tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the tabernacle.

[16] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and
this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them.
[17] Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day. Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?

[18] And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.

[19] Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
[20] For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat;
then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
[
21] And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.

[22] Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.
[23] And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.
[24] And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
[25] That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of Yehovah, saying,
[26] Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of Yehovah your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.

[27] For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against Yehovah; and how much more after my death?

[28] Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.

[29]
For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of Yehovah, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
[30] And Moses spake in the ears of all the congregation of Israel the words of this song, until they were ended

Joshua 24[29] And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Yehovah, died, being an hundred and ten years old.
[30] And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-serah, which is in mount Ephraim, on the north side of the hill of Gaash.

[31] And Israel served Yehovah all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that over lived Joshua, and which had known all the works of Yehovah, that he had done for Israel.

The time of the Judges – recap of Joshua

Judg.2

[1] And an angel of Yehovah came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you.
[2] And ye shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; ye shall throw down their altars:
but ye have not obeyed my voice: why have ye done this?

[3] Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.
[4] And it came to pass, when the angel of Yehovah spake these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.
[5] And they called the name of that place Bochim: and they sacrificed there unto Yehovah.
[6] And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.

[7] And the people served Yehovah all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders that outlived Joshua, who had seen all the great works of Yehovah, that he did for Israel.
[8] And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Yehovah, died, being an hundred and ten years old
.
[9] And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.

[10] And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers:

and there arose another generation after them, which knew not Yehovah, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

[11] And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of Yehovah, and served Baalim:
[12] And they forsook Yehovah God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked Yehovah to anger.
[13] And they forsook Yehovah, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

Judg.3[7] And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of Yehovah, and forgat Yehovah their God, and served Baalim and the groves.

[12] And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of Yehovah: and Yehovah strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done evil in the sight of Yehovah.

Judg.4[1] And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of Yehovah, when Ehud was dead.

Judg.6[1] And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of Yehovah: and Yehovah delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

Judg.10[6] And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of Yehovah, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook Yehovah, and served not him.

Judg.13[1] And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of Yehovah; and Yehovah delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

Judges ended

Kings start – King Saul - evil

1Sam.8

[1] And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.
[2] Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beer-sheba.
[3] And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.
[4] Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
[5] And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.

1Kgs.11[6] And Solomon did evil in the sight of Yehovah, and went not fully after Yehovah, as did David his father.

1Kgs.14[22] And Judah did evil in the sight of Yehovah, and they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their fathers had done.

1Kgs.15 [25] And Nadab the son of Jeroboam began to reign over Israel in the second year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned over Israel two years. [26] And he did evil in the sight of Yehovah, and walked in the way of his father, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.

[31] Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
[32] And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
[33] In the third year of Asa king of Judah began
Baasha the son of Ahijah to reign over all Israel in Tirzah, twenty and four years.

[34] And he did evil in the sight of Yehovah, and walked in the way of Jeroboam, and in his sin wherewith he made Israel to sin.

1Kgs.16[30] And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of Yehovah above all that were before him.

1Kgs.22 [51] Ahaziah the son of Ahab began to reign over Israel in Samaria the seventeenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and reigned two years over Israel.
[52] And
he did evil in the sight of Yehovah, and walked in the way of his father, and in the way of his mother, and in the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin:
[53] For he served Baal, and worshipped him, and provoked to anger Yehovah God of Israel, according to all that his father had done.

2Kgs.8 [16] And in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoshaphat being then king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah began to reign.
[17] Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. [18] And
he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab: for the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of Yehovah.

[25] In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab king of Israel did Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah begin to reign.
[26] Two and twenty years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign; and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri king of Israel.

[27] And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of Yehovah, as did the house of Ahab: for he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.

2Chr.12 [13] So king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned: for Rehoboam was one and forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which Yehovah had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess. [14] And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek Yehovah.

2Chr.22[1] And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.
[2]
Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri.
[3] He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab: for his mother was his counseller to do wickedly.
[4] Wherefore
he did evil in the sight of Yehovah like the house of Ahab: for they were his counsellers after the death of his father to his destruction.

Most Kings were evil

Kings ended

This tells the story:

Israel and Judah taken captive

Jerusalem and first Temple destroyed

Isa.65 [12] Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

Isa.66[4] I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not

The evil killed most of the prophets

Seventy years captivity

Dan.9 [2] In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of Yehovah came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

Then after the captivity, seventy years 70 years, during Ezra and Nehemiah

They take strange wives

Neh.13 [24] And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people.
[25] And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.
[26] Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.
[27] Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?

After the captivity

Years later:

The evil killed the Lord Yeshua (the Father rose Him from the dead)

The evil killed most of the apostles

The evil - Titus destroyed the second Temple in 70 AD

Saul says:

1Cor.10 [12] Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

Peter adds:

2Pet.3 [17] Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Remember:

Rev.12 [17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah.

In 2019, almost 2000 years since the death and resurrection of Messiah Yeshua

It may feel to you God is hiding Himself now

Isa.45 [15] Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Savior.

Remember

Eph.6 [10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
[18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
[19] And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
[20] For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
[21] But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:
[22] Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.
[23] Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

[24] Grace be with all them that love our Lord Yeshua the Messiah in sincerity. Amen.

1Thes.3 [8] For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
