The last day, a Great day, a Holy Convocation, a Solemn Assembly

Lev.23 [34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto Yehovah.

[35] On the first day shall be a holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

[36] Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovahon the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovahit is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

Today *** on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovahit is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.

[37] These are the feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto Yehovah a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day…

We read last evening, John 7

[2] … feast of tabernacles was at hand

[14] Now about the midst of the feast Yeshua went up into the temple, and taught.

[37] In the last day, that great day of the feastYeshua stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

[38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water, [39] But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Yeshua was not yet glorified.

A Solemn assembly:  עֲצֶרֶת

עֲצֶרֶת  עֲצָרָה  ătsârâh    ‛ătsereth,  ats-aw-raw', ats-eh'-reth

An assembly, especially on a holy day (a meeting) sacred or festive meeting

Num.29 [35] on the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein:

Neh.8 [14] And they found written in the law which Yehovah had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of the seventh month:
[15] And that they should publish and proclaim in all their cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.
[16] So the people went forth, and brought them, and made themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of
God, and in the street of the water gate, and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.
[17] And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Joshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness.

[18] Also day by day, from the first day unto the last day, he read in the book of the law of God. And they kept the feast seven days;

and on the eighth day was a solemn assembly, according unto the manner.

2 Chr. 7 [8] Also at the same time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt. [9And in the eighth day they made a solemn assembly:

for they kept the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

A few other solemn assemblies:  עֲצֶרֶת

Deut.16 [8] Six days you shall eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to Yehovah thy God: you shall do no work therein.

Joel 1 [14] Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of Yehovah your God, and cry unto Yehovah,

Joel 2 [15] Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: [16] Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and …

Zeph.3 [18] I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
[
19] Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halts, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
[
20] At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, said the Yehovah.

Some other verses of 8 day events or events on the 8th day

Gen.17 [12] And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.

Lev.14 [1] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[
2] This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing:

[9] But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.[10] And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.[11] And the priest that makes him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before Yehovah, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:

Lev.15 [1] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean.

[13] And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.

[14And on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before Yehovah unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and give them unto the priest:[15] And the priest shall offer them, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him before Yehovah for his issue.

Lev.22 [26] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,

[27] When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto Yehovah.

Num.6 [1] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a vow of a

[8] All the days of his separation he is holy unto Yehovah.
[9] And if any man die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing,
on the seventh day shall he shave it.
[10] And
on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:[11] And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make an atonement for him, for that he sinned by the dead, and shall hallow his head that same day.

Brother Peter:

2 Pet. 2 [5] And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly…

Gospels

Luke.9 [28And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

[29] And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
[30] And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias
:
[31] Who appeared in glory, and spoke of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
[32] But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.
[33] And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto
Yeshua, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
[34] While he thus spoke, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.
[35] And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying,
This is my beloved Son: hear him.
[36] And when the voice was past,
Yeshua was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.

John 20 [26] And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Yeshua, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

[27] Then said he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
[28] And Thomas answered and said unto him,
My Lord and my God.

[29] Yeshua said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

[30] And many other signs truly did Yeshua in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

But these are written that ye might believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, the Son (the Word) of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

“Soon, Tis the season to be pagan” will be all around us!

I am reminded always to inform you to beware of the false image of love, false emotions, loneliness, depression, financial drain, suicide and the artificial false festival lights they put up. Beware of False friends, relatives wanting you to do the wrong things.

Satan really sets the stage for you.

Beware if you feel or hear a voice telling you to separate yourself from the congregation, go off on your own and read or whatever…

We are commanded by God - Learn not the way of the heathen

Jer.10 [2] Thus said YehovahLearn not the way of the heathen , and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

The customs of the people are vain

[3] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [4] They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not.

Remember; be aware of false teachers that copy each other such as: Judaism, Messianics that follow Judaism, Messianics that follow Karaites, Protestant Gentile teachers that follow Messianics that follow Karaites or Judaism.

Follow Yeshua the Messiah - Be careful for nothing:

Don’t let any situation in the world or anyone separate you from the Living God of Israel…
