Why are
we here today?
The 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us
at mount Sinai
We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath. Sixth
times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath.
Acts 13 [13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos,
they came to Perga in Pamphylia:
and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem. [14] But when they departed
from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. [15]
And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue
sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye
have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
[27] For they that dwell at
Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of
the prophets which are read every sabbath
day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
[42] And when the Jews were gone
out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached
to them the next sabbath.
[44]And the next sabbath
day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God
Acts 15 [21] For
Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the
synagogues every sabbath
day.
Luke 4 [16] And he, Yeshua / Jesus came to Nazareth,
where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the
synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to
read.[17] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.

Exod. 31 [13]
Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep : for it is
a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I
am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath
throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant .
[17] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six
days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was
refreshed.
Ezek. 20 [12]
Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths,
to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that
sanctify them.
[20] And hallow my sabbaths;
and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the
LORD your God.
Luke 23
[56] And they returned, and prepared spices and
ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to
the commandment.
Messiah Yeshua speaking of the future: Matt.24 [20] But pray ye that your flight be not in the
winter, neither on the sabbath day:

Topic
for today:
Adar 1 and Adar 2
A good
time to reflect and remind ourselves on the many things of God that are
"hidden"
Adar - A primitive root; to expand, that is, be great or
(figuratively) magnificent: - (become) glorious, honorable. (A mantle, cloak)
"Hidden
- Star"
----------
Book of Esther
In Hebrew the word Esther means "star" but the root of
the word Esther is satar and means "hidden".
The words God, Lord
are hidden in this book of Purim.
Something
or someone glorious is "hidden"
Is the
"Morning Star - The
Word of the Lord", the "real Messiah", hidden from this world?
Rev. 22 [16] I Yeshua / Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you
these things in the churches. I am the root and the
offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Rev. 19 [13] And He
was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His
name is called The Word of God.
John 1 [1] In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God.
1Sam. 3 [21] And the LORD appeared again in
Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in
Shiloh by the word of the LORD.
John. 16 [3] And these things will they do unto
you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

Always
reflect and remind each other - Lest we
forget!
Pss.
95 [6] O come, let us worship and bow down: let us
kneel before the LORD our maker.
[7] For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the
sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,
[8] Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of
temptation in the wilderness:
[9] When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
[10] Forty years long was I grieved with this
generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:[11] Unto whom
I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into
my rest.
Heb. 3 [7] Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
[8] Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of
temptation in the wilderness:
[9] When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty
years.
[10] Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart;
and they have not known my ways.
[11] So I sware in my wrath, They
shall not enter into my rest.)
[12] Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart
of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
[13] But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be
hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
[14] For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of
our confidence stedfast unto the end;
[15] While it is said, To day if ye will hear
his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
[16] For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that
came out of Egypt by Moses.
[17] But with whom was he grieved forty years? was
it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell
in the wilderness?
[18] And to whom sware he that they should not
enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
[19] So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
Pss.
147 [20] He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them.
Praise ye the LORD.
Jer. 4 [22] For my people is foolish, they
have not known me; they are sottish
children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do
good they have no knowledge.
Hos. 5 [4] They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for
the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and
they have not known the LORD.
---------------
Deut. 4 [9] Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently,
lest thou forget the things which thine eyes
have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but
teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons;
[23] Take heed unto yourselves, lest ye forget
the covenant of the LORD your God, which he made with you, and make you a
graven image, or the likeness of any thing, which the
LORD thy God hath forbidden thee.
[31] (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor
forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware
unto them.
Deut. 6
[1] Now these are the commandments, the statutes,
and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye
might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it:
[2] That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God,
to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and
thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be
prolonged.
[3] Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well
with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers
hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with
milk and honey.
[4] Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
[5] And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with
all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy might.
[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
[7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto
thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when
thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest
up.
[8] And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
[9] And thou shalt write them upon the posts
of thy house, and on thy gates.
[10] And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into
the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham,
to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly
cities, which thou buildedst not,
[11] And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst
not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst
not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst
not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
[12] Then beware lest
thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of
Egypt, from the house of bondage.
[13] Thou shalt fear the
LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his
name.
[14] Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which
are round about you;
[15] (For the LORD thy God is a jealous God among you) lest the anger of
the LORD thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from off the face of
the earth.
[16] Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.
[17] Ye shall diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God, and
his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.
[18] And thou shalt do that which is right and
good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
[19] To cast out all thine enemies from before
thee, as the LORD hath spoken.
[20] And when thy son asketh thee in time to
come, saying, What mean the testimonies, and the
statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD our God hath commanded you?
[21] Then thou shalt say unto thy son, We were
Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty
hand:
[22] And the LORD shewed signs and wonders,
great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, before
our eyes:
[23] And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to
give us the land which he sware unto our fathers.
[24] And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the
LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at
this day.
[25] And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these
commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
Deut. 8 [11] Beware
that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments,
and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
[14] Then thine heart be
lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth
out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;
[19] And it shall be, if thou do at all forget
the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them,
I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
Deut. 9 [7]
Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst
the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst
depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been
rebellious against the LORD.
Deut. 25 [19]
Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee
rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land
which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance
to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the
remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
Deut. 30
[1] And it shall come to pass, when all these
things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before
thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the
nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
[2] And shalt return unto the LORD thy God,
and shalt obey his voice according to all that I
command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine
heart, and with all thy soul;
[3] That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have
compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations,
whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
[4] If any of thine be driven out unto the
outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and
from thence will he fetch thee:
[5] And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers
possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do
thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
[6] And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine
heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
[7] And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted
thee.
[8] And thou shalt return and obey the voice
of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
[9] And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of
thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again
rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
[10] If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of
the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written
in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
[11] For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither
is it far off.
[12] It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest
say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear
it, and do it?
[13] Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest
say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it
unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
[14] But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that
thou mayest do it.
Rom. 10
[1] Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that
they might be saved.
[2] For I bear them record that they have a
zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
[3] For they being ignorant of God's
righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not
submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
[4] For Messiah / Christ is the end ( goal ) of the law
for righteousness to every one that believeth.
[5] For Moses describeth the righteousness
which is of the law, That the man which doeth those
things shall live by them.
[6] But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh
on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that
is, to bring Christ down from above:)
[7] Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to
bring up Christ again from the dead.)
[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in
thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the
same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
back to Deut. 30
[15] See, I have set before thee this day life and
good, and death and evil;
[16] In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk
in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments,
that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy
God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest
to possess it.
[17] But if thine heart turn away, so that
thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and
worship other gods, and serve them;
[18] I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that
ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest
over Jordan to go to possess it.
[19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have
set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life,
that both thou and thy seed may live:
[20] That thou mayest love the LORD thy God,
and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length
of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which
the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac,
and to Jacob, to give them.
Deut. 31 [21] And it
shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this
song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten
out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go
about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.
Deut. 32 [18] Of the Rock
that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.
Jer. 2 [32] Can a
maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet
my people have forgotten me days without number.
Jer. 3 [21] A voice was heard upon the high places, weeping and
supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and
they have forgotten the LORD their God.
Jer. 13 [25] This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the LORD; because thou hast forgotten me, and
trusted in falsehood.
Jer. 18 [15] Because
my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and
they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk
in paths, in a way not cast up;[16] To make
their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head.
Jer. 23 [25] I have
heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have
dreamed, I have dreamed. [26] How long shall this be in the heart of the
prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of
the deceit of their own heart; [27] Which think to cause my people to
forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name
for Baal.
Ezek. 23 [35]
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because
thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou
also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
Hos. 4 [6] My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou
hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt
be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I
will also forget thy children.
Hos. 8 [14] For
Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth
temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon
his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.
Hos. 13 [6]
According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their
heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.
Psalm 50
[1] The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken,
and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
[2] Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
[3] Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour
before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
[4] He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he
may judge his people.
[5] Gather my saints together unto me; those
that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
[6] And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge
himself. Selah.
[7] Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel,
and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.
[8] I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings,
to have been continually before me.
[9] I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy
folds.
[10] For every beast of the forest is mine, and
the cattle upon a thousand hills.
[11] I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the
field are mine.
[12] If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
[13] Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
[14] Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
[15] And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and
thou shalt glorify me.
[16] But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
[17] Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
[18] When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with
adulterers.
[19] Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy
tongue frameth deceit.
[20] Thou sittest and speakest
against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
[21] These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an
one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
[22] Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I
tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
[23] Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth
his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of
God.
