God has
His own calendar - 4th month, 22th day, no
name in scripture
2Kgs.25 [3] And on the ninth day of the fourth month the
famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the
land.
(We do not use, as
Judaism, the pagan name Tammuz, a Phoenician
deity to name one of the Lord's months)

Question: Why are we here today?
Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy
The 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant
given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan
Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy
God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy
son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor
thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the
sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD
blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Lev. 23: [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is
the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

We read
from law and the prophets every Sabbath
60 times
in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath!
Acts. 13 [13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to
Jerusalem. [14] But when they departed from Perga,
they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the
synagogue on the sabbath
day, and sat down. [15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets the
rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men
and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
Acts. 15 [21] For
Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the
synagogues every sabbath
day.
Luke. 4 [16] And he, Yeshua / Jesus came to
Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into
the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to
read.[17] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.
Acts. 13:27 For they
that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet
the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath
day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
Acts. 13[42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the
Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
[44]And the next sabbath day
came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Are you
a restorer of paths to dwell in?
Isa. 58 [13] If thou
turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy
pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a
delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine
own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause
thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage
of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Parshah: Matot - Tribes: Numbers 30:2-32:42
Num. 30 [1] And Moses spake unto the heads of
the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which
the LORD hath commanded.
Num. 31
[1] And the LORD spake
unto Moses, saying,
[2] Avenge the children of Israel of the
Midianites: afterward shalt
thou be gathered unto thy people.
[3] And Moses spake unto the people, saying,
Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go
against the Midianites, and avenge the LORD of Midian.
[4] Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the
tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war.
[5] So there were delivered out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand
of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
[6] And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand of every tribe, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the
priest, to the war, with the holy instruments, and the trumpets to blow in his
hand.
[7] And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all
the males.
[8] And they slew the kings of Midian, beside
the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian:
Balaam also the son of Beor
they slew with the sword.
[9] And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian
captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their cattle, and
all their flocks, and all their goods.
[10] And they burnt all their cities wherein they dwelt, and all their
goodly castles, with fire.
[11] And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of
beasts.
[12] And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, unto
Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and unto the
congregation of the children of Israel, unto the camp at the plains of Moab,
which are by Jordan near Jericho.
[13] And Moses, and Eleazar
the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them
without the camp.
[14] And Moses was wroth with the
officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over
hundreds, which came from the battle.
[15] And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all
the women alive?
[16] Behold, these caused the children of Israel,
through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the
matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the
congregation of the LORD.
[17] Now therefore kill every male among the
little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
[18] But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with
him, keep alive for yourselves.
[19] And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed
any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify
both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.
[20] And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all
work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.
[21] And Eleazar the priest said unto the men
of war which went to the battle, This is the
ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;
[22] Only the gold, and the silver, the brass, the iron, the tin, and
the lead,
[23] Every thing that may
abide the fire, ye shall make it go through the fire, and it shall be clean:
nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.
[24] And ye shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and ye shall be
clean, and afterward ye shall come into the camp.
Armed always
[17] But we ourselves will go ready armed
before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and
our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of
the land.
[20] And Moses said unto them, If
ye will do this thing, if ye will go armed before the LORD to war,
[21] And will go all of you armed over
Jordan before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from before him,
[27] But thy servants will pass over, every man
armed for war, before the LORD to battle, as my lord saith.
[29] And Moses said unto them, If
the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan,
every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the land shall be
subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a
possession:
[30] But if they will not pass over with you
armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
[32] We will pass over armed before the
LORD into the land of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this
side Jordan may be ours.
Fight always:
[5] I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will
not sit with the wicked.
[10] Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.
[13] The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward
mouth, do I hate.
[24] Know ye not that
they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth
the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
[25] And every man that striveth for the
mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible
crown; but we an incorruptible.
[26] I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that
beateth the air:
[27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that
by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
2 Cor. 10
[3] For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
[4] (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through
God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
[5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing
into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
[6] And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your
obedience is fulfilled.
Eph. 6
10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in
the power of his might.
[11] Put on the whole armour
of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places.
[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand.
[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about
with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
[15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
[17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God:
[18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and
watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
[12] Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on
eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good
profession before many witnesses.
[7] I have fought a good fight, I have
finished my course, I have kept the faith:[8] Henceforth there is laid
up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall
give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his
appearing.
[15] Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish
judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious
unto the remnant of Joseph.

Is it vain to serve God?
Mal. 3
[1] Behold, I will send my messenger, (John the Baptist) and he shall prepare the way before me ( Messiah Yeshua): and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly
come to this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in:
behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.
John the Baptist was a voice in the wilderness
Isa. 40
[1] Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
[2] Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her
warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received
of the LORD's hand double for all her sins.
[3] The voice of him that crieth in the
wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a
highway for our God.
[4] Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made
low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
[5] And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it
together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Matt. 3
[1] In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the
wilderness of Judaea,
[2] And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven
is at hand.
[3] For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias,
saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the
Lord, make his paths straight.
Messiah came the first time to his temple with the same
message:
Matt. 4 [17] From that
time Yeshua began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Mal. 3
[2] But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth?
for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
[3] And he shall sit as a refiner and purifer of
silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and
silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
[4] Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem
be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.
[5] And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift
witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in
his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from
his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
[6] For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not
consumed.
[7] Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine
ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you,
saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
[8] Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye
say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In
tithes and offerings.
[9] Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation.
[10] Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that
there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith
the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you
out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
[11] And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy
the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the
time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
[12] And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome
land, saith the LORD of hosts.
[13] Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What
have we spoken so much against thee?
[14] Ye have said, It is vain
to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that
we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
[15] And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work
wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
[16] Then they that feared the LORD spake often
one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance
was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his
name.
[17] And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts,
in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth
him.
[18] Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked,
between him that serveth God and him
that serveth him not.

Pss. 2
[11] Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
[12] Kiss the Son, lest he
be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all
they that put their trust in him.

Son - Messiah Yeshua)
