Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Let’s pray as Yeshua taught his disciples to pray:

Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, sins, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil:

For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Amen

Today, we use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,

Today is May 15, 2021 - May

Maia's month - Maia (meaning "the great one") is the Italic goddess of spring, the daughter of Faunus, and wife of Vulcan.

Yehovah God has His own calendar, which is deleted from the world

We are now in the third month of God called Sivan, day 2

Esth.8 [9] …the third month, that is, the month Sivan… סִיוָן

This is our 6th Sabbath of the seven week journey again, spiritually speaking, we were told to count:

In this journey we again observe in memorial, spiritually to meet God to receive the commandments and to receive the (Baptism) Spirit of God.

From slaves in Egypt (our last lives of sin) to the people of God

Remember: We were told to count "Sabbaths" in:

Lev.23 [15] And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete:[16] Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall you number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meat offering unto Yehovah.

Not to count omers like many people are doing which sounds ridiculous and unscriptural.

An "omer" is a "sheaf" of barley - עמר omer - A dry measure of 1/10 ephah (about 2 liters)

Next week is 2 Sabbath in a row:

Feast of Weeks, Hag Sh'vu-ot - חַג שָׁבֻעֹת

Feast of Harvest Hag ha katseer - חַג הַקָּצִיר

Pentecost πεντηκοστή - pentēkoste

Sunday May 23, 2021

Today’s Topic:

Be Mindful, prepare and tarry

Luke 24

[49… behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with power from on high.

1 Chr. 16

[15] Be mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
[
16] Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
[
17] And had confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
[
18] Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
[
19] When you were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.

Neh.9

[1] Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sack clothes, and earth upon them.
[
2] And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.
[
3] And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of Yehovah their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped Yehovah their God.

[4] Then stood up upon the stairs, of the Levites, Jeshua, and Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani, and cried with a loud voice unto Yehovah their God.

[5] Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said,

Stand up and bless Yehovah your God forever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.

[6] You, even you, are Yehovah alone; You hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and You preserve them all; and the host of heaven worships You.

[7] You are Yehovah the God, who did choose Abram, and brought him forth out of Ur of the Chaldees, and gave him the name of Abraham;

[8] And found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and had performed Your words; for You are righteous:

[9] And did see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, and heard their cry by the Red sea;
[
10] And showed signs and wonders upon Pharoah, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for you knew that they dealt proudly against them. So did you get You a name, as it is this day.

[11] And You did divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors you threw into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.
[
12] Moreover you led them in the day by a cloudy pillar; and in the night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.
[
13] You came down also upon mount Sinai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:
[
14] And made known unto them thy holy Sabbath, and commanded them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:
[
15] And gave them bread from heaven for their hunger, and brought forth water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and promised them that they should go in to possess the land which you hadst sworn to give them.

[16] But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,

[17] And refused to obey, neither were mindful of thy wonders that you didst among them; but hardened their necks, and in their rebellion appointed a captain to return to their bondage: but you are a God ready to pardon, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and forsook them not.

[18] Yea, when they had made them a molten calf, and said, This is thy God that brought you up out of Egypt, and had wrought great provocations;

[19] Yet you in thy manifold mercies forsook them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by night, to show them light, and the way wherein they should go.
[
20] You gave also Your good Spirit to instruct them, and withheld not thy manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.
[
21] Yea, forty years didst you sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet not swell.

Pss.111

[5] He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

Pss.115

[12] Yehovah hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

The third month, like today…

Exod.19

[1] In the third month, when the children of Israel were gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day came they into the wilderness of Sinai.

[2] For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
[3] And Moses went up unto God, and Yehovah called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shall you say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
[4] You have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

[5] Now therefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
[6] And you shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak unto the children of Israel.

Peter echoes this in his letter:

1 Peter 2: [9] … you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
[10] Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Back to: Exod.19

[7] And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which Yehovah commanded him.
[8] And all the people answered together, and said, All that Yehovah hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto Yehovah.

[9] … Yehovah said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and believe you forever. And Moses told the words of the people unto Yehovah.

[10] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes,
[11] And be ready against the third day: for the third day Yehovah will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

[12] …you shall set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that you go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever touches the mount shall be surely put to death:
[13] There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mount.

[14] And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
[15] And he said unto the people,
be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.
[16] And
it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightning, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.

[17] And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
[18] And Mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because Yehovah descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.
[19] And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long and waxed louder and louder, Moses spoke, and

God answered him by a voice.

[20] And Yehovah came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and Yehovah called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up.

[21] And Yehovah said unto Moses, Go down, charge the people, lest they break through unto Yehovah to gaze and many of them perish.
[22] And let the priests also, which come near to Yehovah, sanctify themselves, lest Yehovah break forth upon them.
[23] And Moses said unto Yehovah, The people cannot come up to Mount Sinai: for you charged us, saying, Set bounds about the mount, and sanctify it.

[24] And Yehovah said unto him, away, get you down, and you shall come up, you and Aaron with you: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto Yehovah, lest He break forth upon them.
[25] So Moses went down unto the people, and spoke unto them.

Other events that happened in the third month, you may read them yourselves:

2 Chr.1 5

[1] And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
[2] And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear you me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin;
Yehovah is with you, while you be with him; and if you seek him, he will be found of you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

[10] So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.

2Chr.31

[2]…Hezekiah appointed the courses of the priests and the Levites after their courses, every man according to his service, the priests and Levites for burnt offerings and for peace offerings, to minister, and to give thanks, and to praise in the gates of the tents of Yehovah.
[7] In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.

Ezek.31

[1] And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the third month, in the first day of the month, that the word of Yehovah came unto me, saying,
[2] Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude; Whom are you like in thy greatness?

shall you make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shall you make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

Prepare

1Sam.7

[3] And Samuel spoke unto all the house of Israel, saying, If you do return unto Yehovah with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto Yehovah, and serve him only: and He will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines. (Your enemies)

Jer.10

[21] For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought Yehovah: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.

Brutish: stupid, foolish person

Here are some other verses:

Josh.1 [18] whosoever he is that does rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that You commanded him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.

2Chr.15[13] That whosoever would not seek Yehovah God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.

Seek Yehovah

2Chr.15 [1] And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
[2] And he went out to meet
Asa, and said unto him, Hear you me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; Yehovah is with you, while you be with Him; and if you seek Him, He will be found of you; but if you forsake Him, he will forsake you. No eternal security here

1Chr.28 [9] And you, Solomon my son, know you the God of thy father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for Yehovah searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts: if you seek Him, He will be found of you; but if you forsake him, He will cast you off for ever. - No eternal security here

 Seeking Yehovah

Deut.4

[29] But if from thence you shall seek Yehovah thy God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. [30] When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come upon you, even in the latter days, if you turn to Yehovah thy God, and shall be obedient unto his voice;[31] (For Yehovah thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

2Chr.19

[1] And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem.
[2] And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest you help the ungodly, and love them that hate Yehovah

Therefore is wrath upon you from before Yehovah. [3] Nevertheless there are good things found in you, in that you have taken away the groves out of the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.

Deut.4

[29] …if from thence you shall seek Yehovah thy God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Pss.34

[10] The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek Yehovah shall not lack any good thing.

Pss.105

[3] Glory you in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek Yehovah. [4] Seek Yehovah, and his strength: seek his face evermore.

Prov.28

[5] Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek Yehovah understand all things.

Hos.10

[12] Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek Yehovah, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Amos.5

[6] Seek Yehovah, and you shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel.

Zech.8

[21] And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before Yehovah, and to seek Yehovah of hosts: I will go also.[22] Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek Yehovah of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before Yehovah.

Seems like the same situation at the End of Time:

Zeph.1 [1] The word of Yehovah which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.

[2] I will utterly consume all things from off the land, says Yehovah.

[3I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the land, says Yehovah.

[4I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests;[5] And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by Yehovah, and that swear by Malcham;

[6And them that are turned back from Yehovah; and those that have not sought Yehovah, nor inquired for Him.

[7] Hold thy peace at the presence of Yehovah Yehovah: for the day of Yehovah is at hand: for Yehovah hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.

[8] And it shall come to pass in the day of Yehovah's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

[9] In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit.

[10] And it shall come to pass in that day, says Yehovah, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.

[11] Howl, you inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off.

[12] And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, Yehovah will not do good, neither will he do evil.

[13] Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.

[14] The great day of Yehovah is near, it is near, and hasts greatly, even the voice of the day of Yehovah: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

[15] That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,

[16] A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.

[17] And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against Yehovah: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.

[18] Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of Yehovah's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for He shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.

Saul /Paul said:

Acts.17

[24] God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwells not in temples made with hands;

[25] Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needs any thing, seeing He gives to all life, and breath, and all things;

[26] And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

[27] That they should seek Yehovah, if haply they might feel after Him, and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us:

[28] For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also His offspring.

[29] Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by are and man's device.
[30] And the times of this ignorance God winked at (
was aware of)  and now commands all men everywhere to repent:

[31] Because He, the Father hath appointed a day, in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man Yeshua whom he, the Father hath ordained; whereof He, the Father hath given assurance unto all men, in that He, the Father hath raised Him, Yeshua from the dead.

We will end with a section of Peter’s letter:

2Pet.3

[1] This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
[
2] That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
[
3] Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
[
4] And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

[5] For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
[
6] Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
[
7] But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

[8] But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
[
9] Yehovah is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

[10] But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

[11] Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
[
12] Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness. Isa. 65:17

[
14] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

[15] And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
[
16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable pervert - wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

[17] Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.
[18] But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior  Yeshua the Messiah.

To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

In closing:

My suggestion is that you Set, Prepare, Seek, be Mindful, Forget not Yehovah your God for you good always.
