The second month Ziv

This is the first of the 7 sabbaths we were told to count
A short talk today
Today’s topic
Being right
in your own eyes?
It is good to be right, but
be right in God.
This is a study I thought of two weeks ago,
after watching a program on tv pertaining to
evolution and creation.
I know there are many people that have noble
causes, discoveries, and achievements in the world in certain things.
Do they merit salvation?
I know there are many people that debate evolution
and creation.
Do they merit salvation?
I know there are many people that debate Bible
versions and manuscripts.
Do they merit salvation?
I know there are many people who look into
paganism and don’t do anything else in the scriptures
Do they merit salvation?
Let’s look back in time: Some are may be Baptists
John Wycliffe 1328 – 31 December 1384 was an English scholastic philosopher, Christian reformer, Catholic priest, and a theology professor at the University of Oxford.
Wycliffe is traditionally believed to have advocated or
made a vernacular translation
of the Vulgate Bible into Middle English, though more recent scholarship has minimalized
the extent of his advocacy or involvement for lack of direct contemporary
evidence. Who know at this point…
Did he merit salvation?
Tyndale Bible (TYN) generally refers to the body of biblical translations by William Tyndale into Early
Modern English, made 1522–1535.
Tyndale’s biblical text is credited with being the
first Anglophone Biblical
translation to work directly from Greek and,
for the Pentateuch, Hebrew texts, although it relied heavily upon the Latin
Vulgate and German Bibles.
Furthermore, it was the first English biblical translation
that was mass-produced as a result of new advances in the art of printing.
He
died by strangulation then burning
Did he merit salvation?
Here is a verse:
1 Corth. 13 [3]
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and
though I give my body to be burned, and
have not charity, it profits me nothing.
agape {ag-ah'-pay} Meaning: 1) brotherly love, affection, good will,
love, benevolence
Lev.19 [17] You shall not hate your brother in your heart:
you shall in any wise rebuke your neighbor, and not suffer
sin upon him.
Martin Luther - German: 10
November 1483 – 18 February 1546) was a German priest, theologian, author, hymn writer, professor, and former Augustinian friar.
Luther was the central figure of the Protestant Reformation, and his theological beliefs
form the basis of Lutheranism. He
is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in Western and Christian history.
Did he merit salvation?
How about if you have a good voice to read
the Bible…
Does that merit salvation?
I know there are many churches and religions out
there with different Jesus’s, Gospels, doctrines and
other spirits.
Catholic, Protestants, and other religions
Paul told us:
2 Cor.11 [4] For if he that comes preaches another
Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit,
which ye have not received, or another gospel, which you have not
accepted, you might well bear with him – Why would you do that ?
Do they merit salvation?
Like I said last week, there are over 450 known versions of the Bible in English
alone…
Exod.20 [3] You
shall have no other gods before Me.
Do they merit salvation?
Deut.12
[8] You shall not do after all
the things that we do here this day, every man
whatsoever is right in his own eyes.
Prov.21[2] Every way of a man is
right in his own eyes: but Yehovah ponders the hearts.
[3]
To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to Yehovah
than sacrifice. [4] An high look, and a proud
heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin.
Here is a important verse in the
Bible:
1 John 3:4
Whosoever commits sin transgresses
also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Start with Exodus 20, Lev. 23 and Deut. 5
Read these whole chapters
Food laws, clean and unclean issues to to think about…
Lev. 23 - 7 extra Sabbaths in God’s feasts
How much sin is going to heaven? NONE, 0
John 8 [34] Yeshua answered them, Verily, verily, I
say unto you,
Whosoever commits sin is the servant
of sin.
1 John 3:8
He that commits sin is of the devil;for
the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that
He might destroy the works of the devil.
267 times in Gospels and letters and 333 times
in TaNakh - 600 times for the word Law
1Cor.15
[56] The sting of
death is
sin; and
the strength of sin is the law.
So if you sin willfully or commit an
abomination,
Do you merit salvation?
Yeshua
said:
Matt.24
[35] Heaven and earth
shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
John 5
[24] Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him,
the Father that sent me, had everlasting life, and
shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Pss.119 [89] Forever, O Yehovah
your word is settled in heaven.
Deut.6 [25] And
it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments
before Yehovah our God, as
he had commanded us.
In closing for today,
Don’t be right - in your own eyes
Keep God’s commandments, laws, statues,
judgments, testimonies etc…
Ecc.
12 [13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
[14] For God shall bring every work into judgment, with
every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it
be evil.
Prov.12 [15] The
way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkens unto counsel
is wise.
It is good to be right, but be right in God.
Next week is the second of the 7 Sabbaths we
were told to count
Exod.34 [22] And you shall observe the feast of
weeks, of the first fruits of wheat harvest…
Feast
of Weeks – Pentecost (50 days) - the Feast of Harvest coming
