Shabbat Shalom
Today we use the Gregorian calendar
(From Pope Gregory, from the 1500's) – Jan. 30th, 2010
God has His own calendar
Today is the 14th day of the 11th month, Shevat
Zech. 1 [7] Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat,ùÑÀáÈè Shevat or Sh’vat - in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying…
----------
Question:
Why are we here today?
Answer:
We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy
----------
The 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan
We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath.
60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath
Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
æëø
zâkar - zaw-kar' - A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; make mention of, be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, still, think on, well.
-----
Back to Ex. 20
[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Rev.1 [10] I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day - (The Sabbath)
------------
Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an "holy convocation"; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.
The Sabbath is a "holy convocation"
î÷øà miqra: convocation, convoking, reading, a calling together, sacred assembly, something called out, that is, a public meeting (the act, the persons, or the place); also a rehearsal
÷ãùÑ kodesh: a sacred place or thing; consecrated, dedicated, hallowed, holiness, saint, sanctuary, apartness, sacredness, separateness, apartness, sacredness, holiness

Let’s clear up first, another made up
Judaism day:
Tu B'Shevat - New Year
for trees?
Where does it say that in the Word? It doesn’t!
The word "Tu" is not really a word; it is the number 15 in Hebrew:
è
t 9 + å v 6 = 15 (today is the 14th
of Shevat anyway..)
This below is not the New Year for trees
Leviticus 19 [ 23]
And when ye shall come into the land, and shall have planted all manner of
trees for food, then ye shall count the fruit thereof as uncircumcised: three
years shall it be as uncircumcised unto you: it shall not be eaten of.[24
] But in the fourth year all the fruit thereof shall be holy to praise the LORD
withal.[25] And in the fifth year shall ye eat of the fruit thereof,
that it may yield unto you the increase thereof: I am the LORD your God.
There are four or five days called new year, that are made up in Judaism
Almost always, Beit Shammai and Beit Hillel disagree in the Talmud.
The
first of Shevat is the new year for trees
according to the ruling of Beit Shammai;
Beit Hillel, however, places it on the fifteenth of that month.

Today's Topic:
Come out of:
Egypt, Babylon, Babel
(world religions and systems)
Babel or Babylon = “confusion (by mixing)”, Babel, the ancient site and/or capital of Babylonia
and the Babylonian empire
There are many verses that
indicate to get out of Egypt which I did not list.

Let’s review Noah’s sons
Gen. 10
[1]
Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem,
Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
Japheth, Ham and Shem
[2] The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech,
and Tiras.
[3] And the sons of Gomer;
Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
[4] And the sons of
Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.
[5] By these were the isles of the Gentiles
divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their
families, in their nations.
Read the whole chapter:
Ezek. 38
[2]
Son of man, set thy face against Gog,
the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal,
and prophesy against him,
[3] And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
[4] And I will turn
thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all
thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour,
even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
[5] Persia,
Ethiopia (Cush, son of Ham), and Libya (Phut, son of Ham) with them; all of them with
shield and helmet:
[6] Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his
bands: and many people with thee.
Read the whole chapter:
Ezek. 39
[1] Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince
of Meshech and Tubal:
[8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Nimrod - Babel
Asshur – Nineveh
Back to Gen. 10
[6] And the sons of Ham; Cush,
and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
[7] And the sons of Cush; Seba,
and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba,
and Dedan.
[8] And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
[9] He was a mighty hunter before Yehovah: wherefore it is said, Even as
Nimrod the mighty hunter before Yehovah.
[10] And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and
Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
[11] Out of that
land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
[12] And Resen between Nineveh
and Calah: the same is a great city.
[13] And Mizraim (Egypt) begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and
Naphtuhim,
[14] And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim - Philistines) and Caphtorim.
[15] And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
[16] And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
[17] And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,
[18] And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and
afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
[19] And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to
Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom,
and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
[20] These are the sons of Ham, after their
families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.
--------------
[21] Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of
Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born.
[22] The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.
[23] And the
children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.
[24] And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber.
[25] And unto Eber
were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in
his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.
[26] And Joktan
begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazar-maveth, and Jerah,
[27] And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
[28] And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
[29] And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of
Joktan.
[30] And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a
mount of the east.
[31] These are the sons of Shem, after their
families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.
--------------
[32] These are the
families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the
flood.
Acts 17 [26] And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the
face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed,
and the bounds of their habitation;
--------------
Now
scripture explains in detail:
Gen. 11
[1] And the whole
earth was of one language, and of one speech.
[2] And it came to
pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of
Shinar; and they dwelt there.
[3] And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn
them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
[4] And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
[5] And Yehovah
came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
[6] And Yehovah
said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all
one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be
restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
[7] Go to, let
us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand
one another's speech.
[8] So Yehovah scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.
[9] Therefore is
the name of it called Babel; because
Yehovah did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did Yehovah scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Nineveh, Asshur, Assyria (from Ham)
Nah. 3
[1] Woe to the
bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not;
[2] The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and
of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
[3] The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering
spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and
there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
[4] Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the
wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through
her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
[5] Behold, I am against thee, saith the LORD of hosts; and I
will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy
nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.
[6] And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, adnd
will set thee as a gazingstock.
[7] And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall
flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid
waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?
[8] Art thou better than populous No, that was situate among the rivers,
that had the waters round about it, whose rampart was the sea, and her wall was
from the sea?
[9] Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, and it was infinite; Put and
Lubim were thy helpers.
[10] Yet was she carried away, she went into captivity: her young
children also were dashed in pieces at the top of all the streets: and they
cast lots for her honourable men, and all her great men were bound in chains.
[11] Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid, thou also shalt seek
strength because of the enemy.
[12] All thy strong holds shall be like fig trees with the firstripe
figs: if they be shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater.
[13] Behold, thy people in the midst of thee are women: the gates of thy
land shall be set wide open unto thine enemies: the fire shall devour thy bars.
[14] Draw thee waters for the siege, fortify thy strong holds: go into
clay, and tread the morter, make strong the brickkiln.
[15] There shall the fire devour thee; the sword shall cut thee off, it
shall eat thee up like the cankerworm: make thyself many as the cankerworm,
make thyself many as the locusts.
[16] Thou hast multiplied thy merchants above the stars of heaven: the
cankerworm spoileth, and flieth away.
[17] Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great
grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun
ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are.
[18] Thy shepherds slumber, O king of Assyria:
thy nobles shall dwell in the dust: thy people is scattered upon the mountains,
and no man gathereth them.
[19] There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that
hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not
thy wickedness passed continually?

Jonah 4 [11] And should
not I spare Nineveh, that great city,
wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between
their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?
Matt. 12 [41] The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this
generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of
Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

2 Cor. 6 [14] Be ye not
unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness
with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
[15] And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that
believeth with an infidel?
[16] And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are
the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk
in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
[17] Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the
Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
[18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and
daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

MYSTERY, BABYLON (Babel) THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH
The great whore
Rev. 17
[1] And there came
one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying
unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
[2] With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the
inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
[3] So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a
scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten
horns.
[4] And the woman
was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious
stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and
filthiness of her fornication:
[5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON (Babel) THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE
EARTH.
[6] And I saw the woman drunken
with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus:
and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
[7] And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell
thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven
heads and ten horns.
[8] The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of
the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth
shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the
foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and
yet is.
[9] And here is the
mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven
mountains (Greek, oros, can mean "hill"), on
which the woman sitteth.
---
On the web, there are over 40 cities that "claim" to be
built on "seven hills", here are a few interesting ones I felt to
mention:
San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mecca, Moscow, Tehran, Jerusalem,
Babylon and Rome
---
back to Rev. 17
[10] And there are
seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and
when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
[11] And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of
the seven, and goeth into perdition.
[12] And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no
kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
[13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the
beast.
[14] These shall
make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of
lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen,
and faithful.
[15] And he saith
unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples,
and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
[16] And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall
hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh,
and burn her with fire.
[17] For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree,
and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be
fulfilled.
[18] And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which
reigneth over the kings of the earth.
---------------------
Rev. 14 [8] And there
followed another angel, saying, (Babel) Babylon is fallen, is
fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the
wine of the wrath of her fornication.
--------------------
Isa. 21 [9] And, behold,
here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and
said, (Babel) Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven
images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
--------------------
Rev. 18
[1] And after these
things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the
earth was lightened with his glory.
[2] And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, (Babel) Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is
become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage
of every unclean and hateful bird.
[3] For all nations have drunk of
the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth
have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed
rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
[4] And I heard
another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her,
my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive
not of her plagues.
[5] For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her
iniquities.
[6] Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double
according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
[7] How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much
torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no
sorrow.
[8] Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning,
and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord
God who judgeth her.
[9] And the kings of the earth, who have
committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail
her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
[10] Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city (Babel) Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is
thy judgment come.
[11] And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for
no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
[12] The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of
pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood,
and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood,
and of brass, and iron, and marble,
[13] And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and
wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses,
and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
[14] And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee,
and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou
shalt find them no more at all.
[15] The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall
stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
[16] And saying, Alas, alas, that great city,
that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold,
and precious stones, and pearls!
[17] For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every
shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by
sea, stood afar off,
[18] And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
[19] And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping
and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city,
wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her
costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
[20] Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets;
for God hath avenged you on her.
[21] And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast
it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that
great city (Babel) Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
[22] And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and
trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of
whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a
millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
[23] And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and
the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in
thee:
for thy merchants
were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
“The great men of the earth” - by thy sorceries
were all nations deceived
[24] And in her was found the blood of prophets, and
of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

The great whore - MOTHER OF HARLOTS
Rev. 19
[1] And after these
things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia - Hallelu
Yah; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
[2] For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with
her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
