Shabbat Shalom

  שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today we use the Gregorian calendar (From Pope Gregory, from the 1500's)

Today is March 29, 2025

March - Mars' month

Middle English March
Latin
Martius "of Mars"
Latin Martius mensis "month of Mars"

Martius has always had 31 days.

March was the original beginning of the year,

and the time for the resumption of war.

Mars is the Roman god of warHe is identified with the Greek god Ares.

Yehovah has His own calendar: We are now in the 12th month, Adar, day 28

Adar = "glorious"

1) Twelfth month, corresponding to modern March or April

The second Temple

Ezra.6 [14And the elders of the Jews builded and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo.

And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel,

and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.

[15] And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king.

Esth.3 [7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar…

Let’ do a little review of the soon coming spring Feasts of Yehovah:

Next week – God’s new year - March 31, 2025 - Monday

Exodus 12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Exod.13 [4] This day came you out in the month Abib. HaAviv    הָאָבִֽיב

אָבִיב  Aviv

Meaning:

1) fresh, young barley ears, barley

2) ear of grain - month of exodus and Passover (March or April)

God has only one calendar - One New Year

Deut.11 [12] A land which Yehovah your God cares for: the eyes of Yehovah your God are always upon it, from the “beginning of the year” even unto the “end of the year”.

The beginning of barley harvest

Ruth 1 [22] So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.

Deut.16 [1] Observe the month of ha Aviv, and keep the Passover unto Yehovah thy God: for in the month of ha Aviv Yehvah your God brought you forth out of Egypt by night.

Spring feasts of Yehovah

Lev.23

[1] … Yehovah spoke unto Moses, saying,
[2] Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of
Yehovah, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

[3] Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

[4] These are the feasts of Yehovah, even holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.

[5] In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Yehovah 's Passover.

[6] And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto Yehovah: seven days you must eat unleavened bread.

Today’s Topic:

Continue on with

waiting and patience

We are still waiting for the return of Yeshua

Waiting and patience seem to be kin J

Pss.27

[14] Wait on Yehovah: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on Yehovah.

Pss.37

[34] Wait on Yehovah, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

Prov.20

[22] Say not, I will recompense evil; but wait on Yehovah and he shall save you.

1Cor.1

[7] … (see that) you come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah:

2Thes.3

5] And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Messiah.

Have patience:

Luke 21

[19In your patience possess you your souls.

Luke 8

[15] … (they) that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Rom.5

[1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah:
[2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

[3] And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience;

[4] And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

[5] And hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Rom.8

[24For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man sees, why does he yet hope for?

[25] But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Rom.15

[4For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

[5] Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Messiah Yeshua:

[6] That you may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Col.1

[9] For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
[10] That you might walk worthy of
Yehovah unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
[11] Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
[12] Giving thanks unto the Father, which had made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
[13] Who had delivered us from the power of darkness, and had translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
[14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
[15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
[16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
[17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
[18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

[19] For it pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell;
[20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

[21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
[22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
[23] If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven.

1 Thes.1

[2We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

[3] Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, in the sight of God and our Father; [4] Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.

2 Thes.1

[4] … we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure: [5] Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:
[6] Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you…

1 Tim.6

[11] But you, O man \ woman of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

[12] Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto you are also called, and have professed a good profession before many witnesses.

2 Tim.3

[10] … you have fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience 11] Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all, the Lord delivered me.[12Yea, and all that will live godly in Messiah Yeshua shall suffer persecution.

Tit.2

[2] That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

Heb.6

[10] For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which you have showed toward his name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
[11] And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

[12] That you be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Heb.10

[35] cast not away therefore your confidence, which had great recompense of reward.

[36] For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise. (of being with God and eternal life)

Heb.12

[1] Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

[2] Looking unto Yeshua the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jas.1

[3] Knowing this, that the trying of your faith works patience.

[4] But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

[22] But be you doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
[23] For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
[24] For he beholds himself, and goes his way, and straightway forgets what manner of man he was.

[25] But whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Jas.5

[7] Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord Yeshua. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and had long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

[8] Be you also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws nigh.

[10] Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

[11Behold, we count them happy which endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Peter said:

2 Pet. 1 [5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

[6] And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

[7] And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

[8] For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that you shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Brother John

Rev.1

[9] I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Yeshua the Messiah, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah.

Rev.2

[2] I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you can not bear them which are evil: and you have tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars:

[3] And have borne, and have patience, and for my name's sake have labored, and have not fainted.

Rev.13

[10] He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Rev.14

[12] Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Yeshua.

We shall continue onward…

As Saul / Paul did…

Acts.13

 continue in the grace of God.

Acts.14

 Exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts.26 Saul said:

[22] Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say

should come: [23] That Messiah should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Rom.11

[22] …behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodnessotherwise you also shall be cut off.

Col.1

[21] … you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now had he reconciled

[22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in His sight:

[23] If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

[24] Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Messiah in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church…

Col.4

[2] Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving…

2Tim.3

[14] …continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them; [15] And that from a child (also in the Lord) you have  known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Messiah Yeshua.

[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:[17] That the man / woman of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Jas.1

[25] …Whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he / she being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man / woman shall be blessed in their deed.

Heb.1

[1Let brotherly (and sisterly) love continue.

1Tim.4

[16Take heed unto yourself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.

In closing for today,

Remember: get ready for the Spring feast of Yehovah
