שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם
Today, we use the
Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s,
The date is January 1, 2022
January Janus's month
Middle English Januarie
Latin Januarius
"of Janus"
Latin Janu(s) "Janus" + -arius
"ary (pertaining to)"
Latin Januarius mensis
"month of Janus"
Janus is the Roman god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions.
Januarius had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.
We are now in the 10th month of God called Teveth טֵבֵת - Esther 2:16 - in English, scripture calls it Tebeth - Day 27
The 5th of Jan. 2022 –
will be the 11th month of God: Sebat – Sh’vat
Zech.1 [7] Upon the four and twentieth day
of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat - Sh’vat

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts.
Acts: 13 [15] … after the reading of the law and the prophets…
By the way, God’s New Year is in the Spring:
Exod. 12 [1] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,[2] This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
[11] it is Yehovah's Passover. (in Spring)
Exod.13 [3] And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yehovah brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten. [4] This day came you out in the month Abib. ha aviv
Today’s topic:
Continue on in 2022
We shall continue onward…
As Saul / Paul did…
Acts.13
… continue in the grace of God.
Acts.14
… exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Acts.26 Saul says:
[22] Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: [23] That Messiah should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
Rom.11
[22] …behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off.
Col.1
[21] And you, that were sometime
alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he
reconciled[22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy
and unblamable and unreprovable in His sight:
[23] If you continue in the
faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature
which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;[24] Who now rejoice
in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions
of Messiah in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church…
Col.4
[2] Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving…
1Tim.4
[16] Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.
2Tim.3
[14] …continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them; [15] And that from a child (also in the Lord) you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Messiah Yeshua.
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:[17] That the man / woman of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Jas.1
[25] …Whoso looks into the perfect law of
liberty, and continues therein, he / she being not a forgetful hearer, but a
doer of the work, this man / woman shall be blessed in their deed.
Heb.1
[1] Let brotherly (and sisterly) love continue.

Let’s
read over this list below:
A short History of the Months
The original Roman year had 10 named months:
In Spring
Martius "March"
Aprilis "April"
Maius "May"
Junius "June"
Quintilis "July"
Sextilis "August"
September "September"
October "October"
November "November"
December "December"
and probably two unnamed months in
the dead of winter when not much happened in agriculture.
The year began with Martius "March".
Numa Pompilius, the second king of Rome circa
700 BC, added the two months Januarius "January" and Februarius
"February".
He also moved the beginning of the year from Marius
to Januarius and changed
the number of days in several months to be odd, a lucky number.
After Februarius
there was occasionally an additional month of Intercalaris "intercalendar".
**This is the origin of the leap-year day being in February. **
In 46 BC, Julius Caesar reformed the Roman calendar (hence the Julian calendar) changing the
number of days in many months and removing Intercalaris.
Intercalary, intercalendar:
1. (of a day, month, etc) inserted in the calendar
2.
(of a particular year) having one or more days inserted
3.
inserted, introduced, or interpolated
4. botany
growing between the upper branches and the lower branches or bracts on a stem
The Gregorian
calendar is the calendar used in most of the world today.
It was introduced in October
1582 by Pope Gregory XIII as a modification of the Julian
calendar… Look it up if you need more information.
Finally:
2 Cor.13 [11] Finally,
brethren (and sisters), farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one
mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
Eph.6 [10] Finally, my brethren (and sisters), be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. [11] Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Phil.3 [1] Finally,
my brethren (and sisters), rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to
you, to me indeed is not grievous but for you it is safe. [2] Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, and
beware of the concision.
[3] For we are the circumcision, which worship God
in the spirit, and rejoice in Messiah Yeshua,
and have no confidence in the flesh.
Phil.4 [8] Finally, brethren (and sisters), whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. [9] Those things, which you have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
2Thes.3 [1] Finally, brethren (and
sisters), pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be
glorified, even as it is with you: [2] And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all
men have not faith.
[3] But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish
you, and keep you from evil.
[4] And we have confidence in the Lord touching you
that you both do and will do the things which we command you.
1Pet.3 [8] Finally,
be you all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be
pitiful, be courteous: [9] Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for
railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that you are thereunto called, that
you should inherit a blessing.
The 5th of Jan. 2022 -
will be the 11th month of God: Sebat – Sh’vat
Zech.1 [7] Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat - Sh’vat
May God bless you all
