Shabbat Shalom
Dec. 29, 2007
God has His own calendar
We are now in the 10th month - the month Teveth, 18th day
Esth. 2 [16] So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth , in the seventh year of his reign.
------------
Why are we here today?
The 4th Commandment
We read from law and the prophets
every Sabbath
60 times in the Gospels and letters it uses the word Sabbath
Acts 13 [13] Now when Paul and his company loosed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia: and John departing from them returned to Jerusalem.[14] But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.[15] And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
[27] For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
[42] And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
[44]And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God
Acts 15 [21] For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.
Luke 4 [16] And he, Yeshua / Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.[17] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias.
----
Exod. 31 [13] Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying,
Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep : for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant . [17] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
Ezek. 20 [12] Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.
[20] And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

A small calendar lesson:
The Gregorian calendar is the most widely used calendar in the world today. It is a reform of the 12/29/07, first proposed by the Calabrian doctor Aloysius Lilius, and decreed by Pope Gregory XIII , for whom it was named, on 24 February 1582 by 1 Inter gravissimas.
Bulla (plural, Bullae), is a lump of clay molded around a cord and stamped with a seal. When dry, the container cannot be violated without visible damage to the bulla, thereby ensuring the contents remain tamper-proof until they reach their destination. A Papal bull is a particular type of patent or charter issued by a pope. It is named after the bulla that was appended to the end to authenticate it.
Pope: from 12/29/07 : papa, father; from Greek (papas); father
Yeshua / Jesus said : Matt.23 [8] But be not ye called Rabbi : for one is your Master, even Messiah / Christ; and all ye are brethren. [ 9] And call no man your father upon the earth : for one is your Father , which is in heaven.
The Julian calendar was a reform of the 12/29/07 which was introduced by Julius Caesar in 46 BC and came into force in 45 BC
The 12/29/07 started in March / April - Spring .
----
Having said all this, now to the point:
Look at March 23, 2008, Sunday. Traditionally Easter or Resurrection Sunday.
Now look at April 20, 2008, Sunday. Traditionally Passover, when our Lord dies.
Do you see something wrong with these dates? I hope so.
This made-up calendar has Yeshua / Jesus raising from the dead a month before He dies!
This is one reason why I talk so much about God's calandar
------
Today is December 29, 2007. In three days it will be January 1, 2008 or "New Years". Sad to say there is nothing "new about this". All plants, trees are dead, frozen and gone. It's winter.
God's "new year" is in Exodus 12, during Passover in the Spring when everything is "new again", coming back to life. Symbolic of the resurrection, your rebirth, the new creature you became.
Exod. 12 [2] This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
Exod. 13 [4] This day came ye out in the month Abib. Aviv is synonymous with Spring. Tel-Aviv, hill of spring
Exod. 12 [26 ] And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? [27 ] That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD's passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses . And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
Which "New Year " sounds new?
I hope you choose God's New Year.
-------------------------------
" I am come down to deliver them "
Are you talking, preaching or teaching about past and future "Deliverances" of God?
We just started reading Exodus again.
Exod. 3 [8 ] And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
We just read about Joseph in Genesis, how God delivered them.
Gen. 45 [7 ] And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
----------
Pss. 18 [50 ] Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
Pss. 32 [7 ] Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance . Selah.
Pss. 44 [4 ] Thou art my King, O God: command deliverance s for Jacob.
Joel 2 [32 ] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Obad. 1 [17 ] But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance , and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.
---
Yeshua taught deliverance:
Luke 4
[16] And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his
custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for
to read.
[17] And there was delivered unto him
the book of the prophet Esaias
. And when he had opened the book, he found the place
where it was written
,
[18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath
anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives
, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty them that are bruised,
[19] To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
[20] And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the
minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue
were fastened on him.
[21] And he began to say unto them,
This day is this scripture fulfilled in your
ears.
Isa. 61
[1
] The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath
anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up
the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of
the prison to them that are bound;
[4] And they
shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and
they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Anti-missionaries say Luke
changed the scripture. He did not.
Yeshua quoted the scripture in depths .
He is the Word!
Isa. 61:[
1] The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because
the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent
me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty
to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound

Deliverance in the Lord's prayer
:
Matt. 6
[8
] Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth
what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
------------
Some of Paul's
deliverances:
Rom. 11
[26
] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written,
There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer
, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
2 Cor. 1
[9] But we had
the sentence of death
in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God
which raiseth the dead:
[10] Who
delivered us from
so great a death, and doth deliver
: in whom we trust that
he will yet deliver us
;
Gal. 1
[4
] Who gave himself for our sins,
that he might deliver us from this present
evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
Col. 1 [
13]
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness
, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear
Son:[14] In whom we have redemption
through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
1Thes. 1
[10] And to wait for his Son
from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which
delivered us from the wrath to come.
2Thes. 3
[2
] And that we may be delivered
from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have
not faith.
2Tim. 3 [
11] Persecutions, afflictions,
which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured:
but out of them all the Lord delivered
me.
2Tim. 4 [
17] Notwithstanding the Lord
stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully
known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was
delivered out of the mouth of the lion.[
18] And
the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work
, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to
whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Stephen's account of
Deliverance:
Acts.7
[1] Then said
the high priest, Are these things so?
[55] But he, being full of
the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God,
and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
56] And said,
Behold, I see the heavens opened, and
the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
[57] Then they
cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with
one accord,
[59] And they stoned Stephen, calling upon
God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive
my spirit.

In this short study
, please remember to teach your children and talk of
all God's Deliverances
as commanded in the Torah
!
Deut. 4 [9] Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul
diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest
they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but
teach them
thy sons, and thy sons' sons
; [10] Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD
thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together,
and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the
days that they shall live upon the earth, and
that they may teach their children
.
Shalom
[3]
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD,
that he might be glorified.
[5] And strangers shall stand
and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your
vinedressers.
[6] But ye shall be named the
Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall
eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
[7] For your shame ye shall
have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore
in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto
them.
[8] For I the LORD love judgment,
I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and
I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
[9] And their seed shall be
known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see
them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
[10] I will greatly rejoice
in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with
the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself
with her jewels.
[11] For as the earth bringeth
forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to
spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring
forth before all the nations.
[9] After this manner therefore
pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
[10] Thy kingdom come. Thy will
be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
[11] Give us this day our daily
bread.
[12] And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
[13] And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil
: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for
ever. Amen.
[2] And he said, Men, brethren,
and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when
he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
[3] And said unto him, Get thee
out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall
shew thee.
[4] Then came he out of the
land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father
was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.
[5] And he gave him none inheritance
in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would
give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he
had no child.
[6] And God spake on this wise,
That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring
them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.
[7] And the nation to whom they
shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come
forth, and serve me in this place.
[8] And he gave him the covenant
of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth
day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.
[9] And the patriarchs, moved
with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
[10] And
delivered him out of all his afflictions
, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh
king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.
[11] Now there came a dearth
over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers
found no sustenance.
[12] But when Jacob heard that
there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first.
[13] And at the second time
Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred was made known
unto Pharaoh.
[14] Then sent Joseph, and called
his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.
[15] So Jacob went down into
Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,
[16] And were carried over into
Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of
the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.
[17] But when the time of the
promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied
in Egypt,
[18] Till another king arose,
which knew not Joseph.
[19] The same dealt subtilly
with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their
young children, to the end they might not live.
[20] In which time Moses was
born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three
months:
[21] And when he was cast out,
Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.
[22] And Moses was learned in
all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.
[23] And when he was full forty
years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.
[24] And seeing one of them
suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote
the Egyptian:
[25] For he supposed his brethren would
have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood
not.
[26]
And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have
set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to
another?
[27] But he that did his neighbour
wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?
[28] Wilt thou kill me, as thou
diddest the Egyptian yesterday?
[29] Then fled Moses at this
saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.
[30] And when forty years were
expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of
the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.
[31] When Moses saw it, he wondered
at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came
unto him,
[32] Saying, I am the God of
thy fathers, the God of Abrham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.
[33] Then said the Lord to him,
Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy
ground.
[34] I have seen, I have seen
the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and
I have heard their groaning, and am come down
to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into
Egypt.
[35] This Moses whom they refused,
saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge?
the same did God send to be a ruler and a
deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to
him in the bush.
[36] He brought them out, after
that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea,
and in the wilderness forty years.
[37] This is that Moses, which
said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up
unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
[38] This is he ( Moses), that was in the church in
the wilderness with the angel (The Word of the Lord ) which spake to him in
the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give
unto us:
[39]
To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their
hearts turned back again into Egypt,
[40] Saying unto Aaron, Make
us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the
land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
[41] And they made a calf in
those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works
of their own hands.
[42] Then God turned, and gave
them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the
prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices
by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
[43] Yea, ye took up the tabernacle
of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship
them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
[44] Our fathers had the tabernacle
of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that
he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
[45] Which also our fathers
that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles,
whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David;
[46] Who found favour before
God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
[47] But Solomon built him an
house.
[48] Howbeit the most High dwelleth
not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
[49] Heaven is my throne, and
earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what
is the place of my rest?
[50] Hath not my hand made all
these things?
[51] Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised
in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did,
so do ye.
[52] Which of the prophets have
not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of
the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
[53] Who have received the law
by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
[54] When they heard these things,
they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.
[58] And cast him out of the
city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young
man's feet, whose name was Saul.
[60] And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin
to their charge. And when he had said this,
he fell asleep.
