Shabbat Shalom

Today we use the Gregorian calendar

(From Pope Gregory, from the 1500's) – March 13th, 2010

-------------

However, God has His own calendar

12th month called Adar, 26th day

Esth. 3 [7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.

According to the Gregorian calendar, the first day of spring is March 20

-----------------

Remember:

1st Month of God - ha Aviv / Nisan - God's New Year, should start March 18th (sunset on the 17th) Thursday

--------------------------

I explain the Sabbath each week and still people don't get it.

This is how simple it is:

Exod. 20

[8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

[10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of Yehovah thy God:

in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Lev. 23 [3] Six days shall work be done:

but

the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation;

ye shall do no work therein:

it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

--------

Isa. 58 [13] If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honourable; and shalt honour him,

1 - not doing thine own ways,

2 - nor finding thine own pleasure,

3 - nor speaking thine own words:

[14] Then shalt thou delight thyself in Yehovah; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yehovah hath spoken it.

------------------------

Buying and selling is evil on the Sabbath

Neh. 13 [16] There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

[17] Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

------------------------

Question:

Again, so why are we here today?

Answer:

We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy

----------

The 4th Commandment is a part of the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

Today's Topic:

It is all about "dedication" - "commitment" to Yehovah God of Israel

éÀäåÈä àÁìÉäÅé éÄùÒÀøÈàÅì

Pss. 37 [5] Commit thy way unto Yehovah; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Prov. 16 [3] Commit thy works unto Yehovah, and thy thoughts shall be established.

-------------------

"Are you not ashamed of: Do you know of whom you believe: Are you persuaded of: Have you commited to:

Listen to Paul:

2 Tim. 1 [11] ... I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles, for the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

------------------------------------

What about the cost?

Do you want to serve Yehovah God of Israel all the way?

So many other people in other religions are so dedicated and commited to their cause, even to the point of death.

Do you ever see multitudes of people in other religions, falling down, worshipping their god on the net or TV?

---

What about you and your  "dedication" - "commitment" to Yehovah God of Israel?

-----------

Joel 3 [14] Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of Yehovah is near in the valley of decision.

 "Making excuses"

Luke 14 [16] Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
[17] And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.

[18] And they all with one consent began to make excuse.

The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.

[19] And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.

[20] And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.

[21] So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.

[22] And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
[23] And Yehovah said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

[24] For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

[25] And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

[26] If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

[27] And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

----------------
[28] For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

[29] Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
[30] Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

[31] Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
[32] Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.

[33] So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not

"all that he hath", he cannot be my disciple.

[34] Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?

[35] It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out.

He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

[19] And a certain scribe came, and said unto him, Master, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
[20] And Yeshua - Yeshua saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

[21] And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
[22] But Yeshua - Yeshua said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

Luke 9

[57] And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.
[58] And Yeshua - Yeshua said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

[59] And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
[60] Yeshua - Yeshua said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

[61] And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
[62] And Yeshua - Yeshua said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Mark 8 [34] And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

[35] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

[36] For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
[37] Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

[38] Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Mark 10

[17] And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
[18] And Yeshua said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
[19] Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.
[20] And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

[21] Then Yeshua beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest:

go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

[22] And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

[23] And Yeshua looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
[24] And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Yeshua answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

Luke 9 [23] And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

[24] For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
[25] For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
[26] For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

Luke 18

[15] And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
[16] But Yeshua called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
[17] Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.
[18] And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?
[19] And Yeshua said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.
[20] Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
[21] And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.
[22] Now when Yeshua heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

[23] And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
[24] And when Yeshua saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
[25] For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
[26] And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
[27] And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
[28] Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.
[29] And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
[30] Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

 Don’t return back

Don’t look behind you

 "Remember Lot's wife"

Luke 17

[30] Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

[31] In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

[32] Remember Lot's wife.

[33] Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Let us "Remember Lot's wife" now

Gen. 19

[1] And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;
[2] And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
[3] And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
[4] But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
[5] And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
[6] And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
[7] And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
[8] Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
[9] And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
[10] But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door.
[11] And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.
[12] And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place:
[13] For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of Yehovah; and Yehovah hath sent us to destroy it.
[14] And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons in law, which married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for Yehovah will destroy this city. But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.
[15] And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
[16] And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; Yehovah being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.
[17] And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.
[18] And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
[19] Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die:
[20] Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live.
[21] And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
[22] Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
[23] The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.
[24] Then Yehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Yehovah out of heaven;
[25] And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground.
[26] But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
[27] And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before Yehovah:
[28] And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
[29] And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.
[30] And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

Peter says:

2 Pet. 2 [20] For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of Yehovah and Saviour Yeshua Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

[21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

[22] But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Prov. 26 [11] As a dog returneth to his vomit,so a fool returneth to his folly.

---------------

Sad, some say 'It is vain to serve God"

Mal. 3 [14] Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before Yehovah of hosts?

------------------------
Ecc. 7 [8] Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

[9] Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

[10] Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not inquire wisely concerning this.

-------------------------------------

Listen to this:

Lev. 24 [10]... the son of an Israelitish woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel: and this son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

[11] And the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the name of Yehovah, and cursed.

And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)
[12] And they put him in ward, that the mind of Yehovah might be shewed them.

[13] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
[14] Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

[15] And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.

[16] And he that blasphemeth the name of Yehovah, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of Yehovah, shall be put to death.

-----------------------------------

Num. 32 [23] ... ye have sinned against Yehovah: and be sure your sin will find you out.

--------------------

The backslider

Prov. 14 [14] The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways
--------------------

Heb. 10

[35] Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

[36] For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

[37] For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

[38] Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

(Hab. 2 [4] Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.)

[39] But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

2 Cor. 7

1.     [11] For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
