Shabbat Shalom

  שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Our address is 101 Forrest Crossing Blvd., Franklin Tn. 37064, suite 105A

We are sadly still using the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s today in the 21 century

January - Janus's month

Latin Januarius mensis "month of Janus"

Janus is the Roman god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions. His festival month is January.

Januarius had 29 days, until Julius when it became 31 days long.

Today is Jan. 17, 2026

Yehovah has His own calendar:

We are now in the 10th month called Teveth, day 27

Esth. 2 [16] So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign

New moon report

Next Wednesday is the first day of Sh’vat, the 11th month

Zech. 1 [7] Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat – Sh’vat שְׁבָט

Today’s topic:

Destruction from God

I can’t imagine destruction from the Almighty, the infinite God…

Can you?

Isa. 13

[6] Howl you; for the day of Yehovah is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Joel 1

[15] Alas for the day!

for the day of Yehovah is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

2 Thes. 1

[1] Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah:

[2] Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

[3] We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith grows exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other abounds;

[4] So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure:

[5] Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer:

[6] Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

[7] And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Yeshua shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

[8] In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah:

[9] Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

[10] When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe

(because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

WOW - The anger and wrath of God

I can’t imagine making God angry at us, the power that created every thing.

Here are a few verses from Scripture pertaining to God’s wrath.

Here is what the people did from the past:

Exod. 32

[11] And Moses besought Yehovah his God, and said, Yehovah why doth your wrath wax hot against your people, which you hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

Deut. 9

[7] Remember, and forget not, how you provoke Yehovah your God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that you didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until you came unto this place, you have been rebellious against Yehovah.

2 Kgs. 22

[17] Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.

2 Chr. 24

[18] And they left the house of Yehovah God of their fathers, and served groves and idols: and wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their trespass.

2 Chr. 29

[10] Now it is in mine heart to make a covenant with Yehovah God of Israel, that his fierce wrath may turn away from us.

2 Chr. 30

[8] Now be not stiff necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto Yehovah, and enter into his sanctuary, which he had sanctified for ever:

and serve Yehovah your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.

2 Chr. 34

[25] Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands;

therefore my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, and shall not be quenched.

2 Chr. 36

[16] But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of Yehovah arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

Ezra. 5

[12] But after that our fathers had provoked the God of heaven unto wrath,

he gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this house, and carried the people away into Babylon.

Ezra. 7

[23] What so ever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be diligently done for the house of the God of heaven:

for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

Ezra. 8

[22] For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying,

The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.

Ezra. 10

[14] Let now our rulers of all the congregation stand, and let all them which have taken strange wives in our cities come at appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof,

until the fierce wrath of our God for this matter be turned from us.

Neh. 13

[18] Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city?

Yet you bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the Sabbath.

Pss. 59

[13] Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God rules in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

Pss. 78

[31] The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

Jer.10

[10]… Yehovah he is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.

Jer. 44

[8] In that you provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither you be gone to dwell, that you might cut yourselves off, and that you might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

Ezek. 22

[31] Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, said Yehovah.

Nah. 1

[2] God is jealous, and Yehovah revenges. Yehovah revenges, and is furious; Yehovah will take vengeance on his adversaries, and he reserves wrath for his enemies.

Babylon connection

Isa. 13

[1] The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

[2] Lift you up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

[3] I have commanded my sanctified ones I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

[4] The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: Yehovahof hosts musters the host of the battle.

[5] They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even Yehovah, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

[6] Howl you; for the day of Yehovah is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

[7] Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

[8] And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travails: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

[9] Behold, the day Yehovah comes, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

[10] For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

[11] And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

[12] I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

[13] Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of Yehovah of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Another Babylon connection:

Rev. 14

[8] And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

[9] And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice,

If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

[10] The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

[11] And the smoke of their torment ascends up forever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.

Rev. 16

[19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

[20] And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

[19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

[20] And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

[21] And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Rev. 17

[1] And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will show unto you the judgment of the great whore that sits upon many waters:

[2] With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

[3] So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

[4] And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

[5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

[6] And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Yeshua: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

[7] And the angel said unto me, wherefore didst you marvel?

I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which had the seven heads and ten horns.

[8] The beast that you saw was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

[9] And here is the mind which had wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits.

[10] And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

[11] And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes into perdition.

[12] And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

[13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

[14] These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

[15] And he said unto me, The waters which you saw here the whore sites, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

[16] And the ten horns which you saw upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.

[17] For God had put in their hearts to fulfill his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

[18] And the woman which you saw is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth

Rev. 18

[1] And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

[2] And he cried mightily with a strong voice, sayingBabylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

[3] For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

[4] And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, and that you receive not of her plagues.

[5] For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God had remembered her iniquities.

[6] Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she had filled fill to her double.

[7] How much she had glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

[8] Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

[9] And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

[10] Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is your judgment come.

[11] And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys their merchandise any more:

[12] The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

[13] And cinnamon, and odors, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

[14] And the fruits that your soul lusted after are departed from you, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from you, and you shalt find them no more at all.

[15] The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

[16] And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

[17] For in one hour so great riches is come to nought.

And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,

[18] And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!

[19] And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

[20] Rejoice over her, you heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God had avenged you on her.

[21] And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

[22] And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in you; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in you; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in you;

[23] And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in you: for your merchants were the great men of the earth; for by your sorceries were all nations deceived.

[24] And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

I read this last week:

As the days of Noah were:

Matt. 24

[37] But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be

[38] For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

[39] And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Gen. 6

[5] And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

[6] And it repented Yehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

[7] And Yehovah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repented me that I have made them.

[8] But Noah found grace in the eyes of Yehovah

Seals, angels, trumpets, thunders, (seven of each)

From the Wrath of the lamb

Rev. 6

[12] And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal,

and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

[13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

[14] And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

[15] And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

[16] And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

[17] For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Rev. 8

[1] And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

[2] And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.

The seventh angel

Rev. 16

[17] And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying,

It is done.

[18] And there were voices, and thunder, and lightning; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

[19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell:

and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

[20] And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

[21] And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Rev. 10

[1] And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

[2] And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

[3] And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

[4] And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

[5] And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

[6] And swore by him that lives forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein,

that there should be time no longer:

[7] But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he had declared to his servants the prophets.

Rev. 11

[15] And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Yehovah, and of his Messiah; and he shall reign forever and ever.

[16] And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

[17] Saying, We give you thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which are, and was, and are to come; because you have taken to you, your great power, and have reigned.

[18] And the nations were angry, and your, God’s wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that you should give reward unto your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear your name, small and great; and should destroy them which destroy the earth.

[19] And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightning, and voices, and thundering, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Prov. 23

[18] For surely there is an end;

and your expectation shall not be cut off.

1 Cor. 15

[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and

we shall be changed.

In closing for today:

Be on God’s side, safe and secure.

May God bless your lives
