שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Shabbat Shalom

Today is the Sabbath, the 7th day, a sacred assembly

Let’s pray

Today we are still using the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s

June 8, 2024

June -- Juno's month

Middle English jun(e)
Old French juin
Old English junius
Latin Junius "of Juno"
Latin Junius mensis "month of Juno"

Junius had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

Juno is the principle goddess of the Roman Pantheon. She is the goddess of marriage and the well-being of women.

She is the wife and sister of Jupiter. She is identified with the Greek goddess Hera.

We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar, the third month, Sivan day 1

This evening started the new moon, the third month called Sivan

Esth.8 [9] Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivan, סִיוָן

 Today’s Topic:

The End of time

There are a few things that have to happen yet.

Eschatology - the part of theology concerned with death, judgment, and the final destiny of the soul and of humankind…

Let’s read:

Rev.10
[5]
And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, [6] And swore by him that lives forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

[7] But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound,

the mystery of God should be finished,

as he declared to his servants the prophets.

Mark.13

[1] And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
[2] And Jesus answering said unto him, See these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. -
This happened in 70 AD

[3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
[4] Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

[5] And Yeshua answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
[6] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
[7] And when you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, be you not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

[8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

[9] But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues you shall be beaten: and you shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

[10] And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

[11] But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you shall speak, neither do you premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak you: for it is not you that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
[12] Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
[13] And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

[14] But when you shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

[15] And let him that is on the housetop not go down into the house, neither enter therein, to take anything out of his house:
[16] And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.

[17] But woe to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
[18] And pray you that your flight is not in the winter.

[19] For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

[20] And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he had chosen, he had shortened the days.
[21] And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
[22] For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

[23] But take you heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

[24] But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
[25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
[26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

[27] And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

[28] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near:
[29] So you in like manner, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
[30] Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
[31] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

[32] But of that day and that hour knows no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son (at this point of his earthy life), but the Father.

[33] Take heed, watch and pray: for you know not when the time is.

[34] For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
[35] Watch you therefore: for you know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: [36] lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
[37] And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Luke 21

[5] And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
[6] As for these things which you behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. -
This happened in 70 AD

[7] And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be?

and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

[8] And he said, Take heed that you be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draws near: go you not therefore after them.
[9] But when you shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

[10] Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
[11] And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

[12] But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
[13] And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
[14] Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what you shall answer:
[15] For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

[16] And you shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kin folks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
[17] And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
[18] But there shall not a hair of your head perish.

[19] In your patience possess you your souls.

[20] And when you shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

[21] Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

[22] For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

[24] And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Trodden down of the Gentiles sounds like:

Rev.11 [2] But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. 3 ˝ years

Back to Luke 21

[25] And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
[26] Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
[27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
[28] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.

[29] And he spoke to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
[30] When they now shoot forth, you see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
[31] So likewise you, when you see these things come to pass, know you that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
[32] Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
[33] Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

[34] And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
[35] For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
[36] Watch therefore, and pray always, that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Some backup scriptures:

Dan.11 [31] And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate.

Dan.12 [11] And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 1290 days = 3 ˝ years

Dan. 9 - 483 years plus 7 years in someone’s future = 490 years

[24] Seventy weeks 490 years are determined upon your people and upon your holy city,

to finish the transgression,

and

to make an end of sins,

and

to make reconciliation for iniquity,

and

to bring in everlasting righteousness,

and

to seal up the vision and prophecy,

and

to anoint the most Holy.

[25] Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks 49 years, and threescore and two weeks: 62 = 434 years = 483 years

the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Ezra’s time, rebuilding second temple

Messiah came 434 years after second temple was built the second time

Messiah came to the second temple according to scriptures

All through the gospels the Temple was still there

Hag.2 [9] The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, said Yehovah of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, said Yehovah of hosts.

Mal.3 [1] Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, said Yehovah of hosts

Through the book of Revelation there is no record of the temple being destroyed

Back to Dan. 9

[26] And after 62 - threescore and two weeks 434 years shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself:

Messiah dies and raises from the dead

and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; sounds like this happened in 70 AD

and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Last 7 years

Sounds like Dan 11 and 12 above

[27] And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: 7 years and in the midst of the week 3 ˝ years he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate

A breakdown:

490 years =

49 + 434 = 483 years

Then + 7 years in someone’s future = 490

Dan.8 [13] Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spoke,

How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

[14] And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

2300 days = 6.3 years

[19] And he said, Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

[20] The ram which you saw having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

[21] And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

[22] Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

[23] And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
[24] And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
[25] And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and
he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

Sounds like Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians:

2Thes.2 [4] Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God

Back to Dan.8

[26] And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut you up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

[27] And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

Matt.24 - similar information

[1] And Yeshua went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple.
[2] And Yeshua said unto them, See you not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down. – This h
appened in 70 AD

[3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying,

Tell us, when shall these things be?

and what shall be the sign of your coming,

and of the end of the world?

[4] And Yeshua answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
[6] And you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that you be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
[7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

[8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.

[9] Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

[10] And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

[11] And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
[12] And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

That’s either the end of your life or the end of this world

[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

[15] When you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet stand in the holy place, (whoso reads, let him understand :)

[16] Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
[17] Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:
[18] Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

[19] And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

[20] But pray you that your flight is not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:

[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.
[24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

[25] Behold, I have told you before.

[26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

[28] For where so ever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

[31] And
he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

[32] Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh:
[33] So likewise you, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
[34] Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
[35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

[36] But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

[37] But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

[38] For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

[39] And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

[40] Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
[41] Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
[42] Watch therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come.
[43] But know this that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
[44] Therefore be you also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man cometh.

[45] Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord had made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
[46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
[47] Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
[48] But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming;
[49] And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
[50] The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looks not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
[51] And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Some thoughts:

Take away the daily sacrifice?  Take away the daily what?

Does not use the word sacrifice in Hebrew and is italicized in the English in 5 different verses in Daniel:

Dan. 8:11  Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

Dan. 8:12  And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered.

Dan. 8:13  Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spoke, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

Dan. 11:31  And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate.

Dan. 12:11  And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.

The Hebrew word used is תָּמִיד ta-meed

Meaning:  1) continuity, perpetuity, to stretch

1a) continually, continuously (as adverb)

1b) continuity (subst)

Origin:  from an unused root meaning to stretch;

Usage:  AV - continually 53, continual 26, daily 7, always 6, alway 4, ever 3, perpetual 2, continual employment 1, evermore 1, never 1; 104 times

In the holy place?

Causes the sacrifice and the oblation to cease?

Shall pollute the sanctuary of strength?

Other things to consider:

The 3rd temple

A covenant with the antichrist for 7 years, broken in 3 ˝ years

Places the abomination of desolation

Great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come

Other verses to consider for the end of time

2 witnesses 3 ˝ approx. = 1260 days

Sits in the temple showing himself as god

Exalts himself above all that is called god

All the world worship him

Power over the monetary system

Receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads to buy or sell

False Prophet – miracles to deceive

Image of beast comes alive for the world to worship

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound,

the mystery of God should be finished

Does the valley of Megiddon, the valley of Jehoshaphat have to do with the end of time, or Armageddon = "the hill of Megiddo"?

In closing for today,

The end of this world will come at a certain time in someone’s lifetime in the future…

My advice, live your life - in God

Ecc.7 [18] It is good that you should take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not your hand: for he / she that fears God shall come forth of them all.

Ecc.12 [12] And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
[
13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

[14] For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good, or whether it is evil.

Moving forward: Feast of Weeks – Pentecost - the Feast of Harvest a Sabbath - in the 3rdmonth Sivan, June 16th 2024 – next Sunday

We will have 2 Sabbath, sacred assemblies in a row.
