Feast of Unleavened Bread - חַג הַמַּצּוֹת
Shabbat Shalom again
שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם
“Offering time”
Exod.23
[14]
Three times thou shalt
keep a feast unto me in the year.
[15] Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee,
in the time appointed of the month Abib; ha Aviv - for
in it thou came out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:) [16] And the feast of harvest (weeks, Pentecost), the first
fruits of thy labors, which thou hast sown in the field:
and the feast of
ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labors
out of the field.[17] Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before
the Lord Yehovah.
Deut. 16 [16] Three times in a year
shall all thy males appear before Yehovah thy God in
the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the
feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they
shall not appear before Yehovah empty:
[17] Every man shall give as he is able, according to
the blessing of Yehovah thy God which he hath given
thee.

Today’s Topic, you guessed it,
The Feast of Unleavened Bread - חַג
הַמַּצּוֹת
the bread of affliction - לֶחֶם
עֹנִי
Deut.16
[1] Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto Yehovah
thy God: for in the month of Abib Yehovah
thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.
[2] Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the passover unto Yehovah
thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which Yehovah
shall choose to place his name there.
[3] Thou shalt eat no
leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou
eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest
forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.
[4] And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee
in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there anything of the flesh,
which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain
all night until the morning.
-----------
Unleavened bread, the bread of affliction
Get the “old leaven” out (of your hearts, lives)
I mean false doctrines, hypocrisy, malice and wickedness
Paul says:
1 Cor. 5 [8]
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
------------------------
Beware of "leaven" - false doctrines
and hypocrisy
Beware of false religious leaders: pastors, teachers and rabbis, Messianics, websites, social media platforms, etc…
Hypocrisy
Isa. 32[6] For
the vile person will speak villany, and his heart
will work iniquity, to practise
hypocrisy, and to utter error against Yehovah,
to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the
thirsty to fail.
חנף chôneph - kho'-nef -
moral filth, that is, wickedness: - hypocrisy - godlessness,
hypocrite, profaneness, soiled (that is, with sin), impious and godless
Luke 12 [1] In the mean time, when there were gathered together an
innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode
one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Matt. 16 [6] Then Yeshua said unto them, Take heed
and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
[7] And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
[8] Which when Yeshua perceived, he said unto them, O
ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no
bread?
[9] Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the
five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
[10] Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and
how many baskets ye took up?
[11] How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
[12] Then understood they how that he bade them
not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine
of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
----------------
Mark 8 [11] And
the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign
from heaven, tempting him.
[12] And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto
this generation.
[13] And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other
side.
[14] Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the
ship with them more than one loaf.
[15] And he charged them, saying, take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the
leaven of Herod.
[16] And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
[17] And when Yeshua knew it, he saith
unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have
ye your heart yet hardened?
[18] Having eyes, see ye not? and
having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
[19] When I brake the five loaves among five thousand,
how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
[20] And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments
took ye up? And they said, Seven.
[21] And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not
understand?
---------------
Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, First
fruits, Feast of Weeks - Pentecost in the gospels and letters
Yeshua, the apostles and Saul /Paul, observed all these holy days
Remember, these Holy days were first observed by
the children of Israel 1000’s of years before. We as they, do these days in memorial.
Exod.12
[14] And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a
feast to Yehovah throughout your generations; ye
shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
[15] Seven days shall ye eat unleavened
bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for
whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day
until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
[16] And in the first
day there shall be an holy convocation, and in
the seventh day there shall be an holy
convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of
you.
[17] And ye shall observe the feast of
unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of
the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day
in your generations by an ordinance for ever.
[18] In the first month, on the
fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the
one and twentieth day of the month at even.
[19] Seven days shall there be no leaven
found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which
is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel,
whether he be a stranger, or born in the land.
[20] Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in
all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread.

Passover
Messiah our Passover
Matt 26 [2] Ye know that after two days is the
feast of the passover, and the Son of man is
betrayed to be crucified.
[17] Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread
the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare
for thee to eat the passover?
[18] And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say
unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I
will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
[19] And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them;
and they made ready the passover.
Mark 14 [1] After
two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the
chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put
him to death.
[12] And the first day of
unleavened bread, when they killed the passover,
his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
[14] And wheresoever he shall
go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith,
Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my
disciples?
[16] And his disciples went forth, and came into the
city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
Luke 2 [41] Now
his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast
of the passover.
Luke 22 [1] Now
the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which
is called the passover.
[7] Then came the day of
unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
[8] And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us
the passover,
that we may eat.
[11] And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith
unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall
eat the passover with
my disciples?
[13] And they went, and found as he had said unto them:
and they made ready the passover.
[15] And he said unto them, With
desire I have desired to eat this passover
with you before I suffer:
John 2 [13] And
the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
[23] Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover,
in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which
he did.
John 6 [4] And the passover,
a feast of the Jews, was nigh.
John 11 [55] And
the Jews' passover
was nigh at hand: and many went out of the country up to Jerusalem before the passover, to purify
themselves.
John 12 [1] Then
Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus
was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
John 13 [1] Now
before the feast of the passover,
when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world
unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them
unto the end.
John 18 [28] Then
led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and
they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled;
but that they might eat the passover.
[39] But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you
one at the passover:
will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
John 19 [14] And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!
1 Cor. 5 [7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new
lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah / Christ
our passover
is sacrificed for us:
Heb. 11 [28] Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that
destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

Feast of unleavened bread
Matt. 26 [17] Now
the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the

thee to eat the passover?
Mark 14 [1] After

[12] And the first day of

Luke 22 [1] Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is
called the Passover
[7] Then came the day of
unleavened bread, when the passover

After the Resurrection, the feast of unleavened bread was also
observed
Acts 12 [3] And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further
to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened
bread.)
Acts 20 [6] And
we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened
bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven
days.
1 Cor. 5 [7] Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new
lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah / Christ
our passover is sacrificed
for us:
[8] Therefore let us keep the
feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and
wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

First fruits
Messiah the first
fruits
Rom. 8 [23] And
not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first
fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting
for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
Rom. 16 [5]
Likewise greet the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved
Epaenetus, who is the first
fruits of Achaia unto Messiah.
1 Cor. 15 [20] But
now is Messiah risen from the dead, and become the first
fruits of them that slept.
[23] But every man in his own order: Messiah / Christ the first fruits; afterward they that
are Messiah / Christ's at his coming.
1 Cor. 16 [15] I
beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas,
that it is the first fruits of Achaia, and that
they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
Jas. 1 [18] Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we
should be a kind of first fruits of his
creatures.
Rev. 14 [4] These are they which were not defiled with women; for they
are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Feasts of weeks – Pentecost
After the Resurrection, the Feasts of weeks – Pentecost
was also observed
Acts 2 [1] And when the day of Pentecost was
fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Acts 20 [16] For Paul / Saul had
determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for
he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at
Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.
1 Cor. 16 [8] But I
Saul, will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

In closing:
Let us with joyful hearts continue in our century, the 21th, to
