Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today, we sadly use the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.

Today’s date is March 25, 2023

March -- Mars' month

Middle English March(e)
Anglo-French March(e)
Old English Martius
Latin Martius "
of Mars"
Latin Marti(s) "Mars" + -us (adj. suffix)
Latin Martius mensis "
month of Mars"

Martius has always had 31 days.

March was the original beginning of the year, and the time for the resumption of war

Mars is the Roman god of warHe is identified with the Greek god Ares.

The God of Israel has His own Calendar:

God’s New Year was a few days ago, we are now in the 1th month of God, Day 3, called ha Aviv, Nisan, soon Passover and the Feast of unleavened bread again

Exod.12

[1] And Yehovah spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
[2] This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

Exod.13 [4] This day came ye out in the month Abib. / ha aviv

Esth.3 [7] In the first month, that is, the month Nisan

ha Aviv, Nisan

 הָאָבִיב

  נִיסָן

We read from law and the prophets every Sabbath like they did in the Book of Acts.

Acts: 13 [15] … after the reading of the law and the prophets…

Yeshua said unto them:

Luke 24

[44] …  These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

The Word of God - Torah, Prophets and Writings (psalms)

Ta Na Kk is an acronym for:

T = Torah (law, teachings) - first 5 books of Moses

N = Navieem or prophets (pl. sounds like - Na vi eem)

K = Ke'tuvim or writings (psalms etc.)

At this point, there were neither gospels nor letters.

I use too explain the Sabbath, the 7th day each week, here it is in a nutshell:

Lev. 23 [32] … from even (sunset) unto even (sunset), shall you celebrate your Sabbath.

The Sabbath is the 4th Commandment (of the Ten Commandments), the covenant given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month, Sivan

Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (In all your dwellings)

Today’s Topic

Continue on

 Finish your course in God

We shall continue onward, forward in God…

This week I was thinking about Saul / Paul who died almost 2000 years ago, and people today in 2020/2023 have the same evil spirit to bring false accusations against him and lie about him.

Saul / Paul said:

Acts.20

[24] But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Yeshua, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Paul said to Timothy:

2Tim.4

[1] I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

[2] Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

[3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
[4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

[5] But watch you in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
[6] For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
[7] I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
[8] Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord Yeshua, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Some of Paul’s Godly credentials:

Rom.1

[1] Paul, a servant of Yeshua the Messiah, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God…

1Cor.1

[1] Paul, called to be an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother…

2Cor.1

[1] Paul, an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah by the will of God

Gal.1

[1] Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Yeshua the Messiah, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Eph.1

[1] Paul, an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus…

Eph.3

[1] For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Yeshua the Messiah for you Gentiles…

Col.1

[1] Paul, an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah by the will of God

1Tim.1

[1] Paul, an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah by the commandment of God our Savior, and Lord Yeshua the Messiah, which is our hope…

2Tim.1

[1] Paul, an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Messiah Yeshua

Tit.1

[1] Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Yeshua the Messiah, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness…

Phlm.1

[1] Paul, a prisoner of Yeshua the Messiah, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellow laborer…

[9] Yet for love's sake I rather beseech you, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Yeshua the Messiah.

Col.4

[18] The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.

As you can see by these letters, Paul did not select himself; God selected him for the ministry.

Let’s read this below,

Yeshua said Paul was a chosen vessel unto Him

Acts.9

[1] And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

[2] And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

[3] And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
[4] And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecute you me?

[5] And he said, Who are you, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Yeshua whom thou persecute: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

[6] And he trembling and astonished said, Lord Yeshua, what will you have me to do? And the Lord Yeshua said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

[7] And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

[8] And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

[9] And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

[10] And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord Yeshua in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.

[11] And the Lord Yeshua said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prays,
[12] And had seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

[13] Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he had done to thy saints at Jerusalem:
[14] And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.

[15] But the Lord Yeshua said unto him, Go thy way: for he (Paul) is a chosen vessel unto Me (Yeshua), to bear My Name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
[16] For I will show him(Paul) how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. (Yeshua),

Continue on in God!

Acts.13

Continue in the grace of God.

Acts.14

exhort them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts.26

[22] Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: [23] That Messiah should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Rom.11

[13] For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

[14] If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.
[15] For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

[16] For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.
[17] And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, were gaffed in among them, and with them partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
[18] Boast not against the branches. But if you boast, thou bear not the root, but the root thee.

[19] You will say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.

[20] Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Be not high minded, but fear:

[21] For if God spared not the natural branches (the Jews), take heed lest he also spare not you. (Gentiles)

[22] Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:

 on them which fell, severity;

but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness: otherwise you also shall be cut off.

[23] And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graft them in again.

Col.1

[21] And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now had he reconciled

[22] In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreprovable in His sight,

[23] If you continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which you have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

[24] Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Messiah in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church…

Col.4

[2] Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving…

1Tim.4

[16Take heed unto yourself, and unto the doctrine; continue in themfor in doing this you shall both save yourself, and them that hear you.

2Tim.3

[14] …continue in the things which you have learned and have been assured of, knowing of whom you have learned them;

[15And that from a child (also a child in the Lordyou have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through faith which is in Messiah Yeshua.

[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

[17] That the man / woman of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Jas.1 [25] …Whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he / she being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man / woman shall be blessed in their deed.

Endure to the end

Heb.12

[1] Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us (to harass or trouble somebody or something continually), and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

[2] Looking unto Yeshua the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

[3] For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.

[4] You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

[12] Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

[13] And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the waybut let it rather be healed.

[14] Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

[15] Looking diligently:

lest any man fail of the grace of God;

Lest

any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;[16]

Lest

there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.[17] For you know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected:

for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. – No eternal Security

[18] For you are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

[19] And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

[20(For they could not endure that which was commanded

And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

[21] And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) [29] For our God is a consuming fire.

In closing for today,

Heb.1 [1Let brotherly (and sisterly) love continue.

It makes me sad to hear that people today still bring false accusations against Saul / Paul after he has been dead almost 2000 years ago, that was a chosen vessel of Yeshua

They do not understand the letters…

Our stand is the same as the 3 Hebrew children stated in the book of Daniel:

Dan 3

[17] If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

[18] But if not,

Be it known unto you, O king that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up.

AMEN and AMEN!

We shall endure and continue on in the God of Israel

Yah bless you all
