Shabbat Shalom

שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם

Today we are still using the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s which he introduced it as a modification of, and replacement for the Julian calendar.

Today is Sept. 28, 2024

We acknowledge God’s calendar – the 6th month Elul , day 24

Neh.6 [15] So the wall was finished in the twenty and fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty and two days.

Neh.7[73] So the priests, and the Levites, and the porters, and the singers, and some of the people, and the Nethinims, and all Israel, dwelt in their cities; and when the seventh month came, the children of Israel were in their cities.

Soon the Seventh month is ha Ethanim = 1 Kings:8:2

Schedule me in please.

Get ready for the feast and holy days that are coming.

They start next week.

Today is the 4th commandment, the Sabbath.

All Sabbaths have the same information in scripture.

Sabbath is not a Jewish tradition.

Here in Genesis 2:2,3 there were no Jews nor Israel at that time.

Gen.2 [2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

[3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

זכר  Remember

zâkar - zaw-karA primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mentionmake mention ofbe mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance…

[9] Six days shall you labor, and do all your work:

[10] But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yehovah your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates:

[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Isa. 58 [13] If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of Yehovah, honorable; and shall honor him,

1 - not doing thine (your) own ways,

2 - nor finding thine (your) own pleasure,

3 - nor speaking thine (your) own words:

[14] Then shall you delight yourself in Yehovah; and I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father: for the mouth of Yehovah had spoken it.

Lev. 23 [3Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of restan "holy convocation"; you shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.

I have been doing basic studies for the last few weeks so people can learn.

Today’s basic topic:

Forgiveness of sins

Most important

Psalm 51 [16] For you desired not sacrifice; else would I give it: you delight not in burnt offering.
[17] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, you wilt not despise.

Hos. 6 [6] For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Jer.7 [22] For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

[23] But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

Messiah died for our sins

Read all of Isa. 53, Psalm 22

Isa.53

[10] Yet it pleased Yehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when you shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yehovah shall prosper in his hand. [11] He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
[
12] Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Rom.5

[6] For when we were yet without strength, in due time Messiah died for the ungodly.

[8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Messiah died for us.

1Cor.15

[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Messiah died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
[5] And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve…

Dedicate your live to God,confess the Lord Yeshua the Messiah

1 John 4

[1] Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

[2] Hereby know you the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Yeshua is the Messiah is come in the flesh (of Israel and keeps all the holydays, commandments and laws) is of God:

[3] And every spirit that confesses not that Yeshua is the Messiah is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that
spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Mark .6

[12] And they (the apostles) went out, and preached that men should repent.

Romans 10

[9] That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Yeshua and shall believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.

[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Believeth unto righteousness:

Deut.6

[25] And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before Yehovah our God, as he had commanded us.

Rom.5

[9] … being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

John 10

[9] I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

[10] The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:

I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Acts 2

[21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Yeshua is the Messiah for the remission of sins, and you  shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

[39] For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
[40] And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, save yourselves from this untoward generation.

Untoward - crooked, perverse, wicked, froward

Usage:  AV - crooked 2, untoward 1, forward 1; 4 times

Matt.24

[13] But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

the end of your life or the world

Mark

6 [16] He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned.

Matt.9

[10] And it came to pass, as Yeshua sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
[11] And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why does your Master eat with publicans and sinners?

[12] But when Yeshua heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

[13] But go and learn what that means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Pharisees were self-righteous

Acts 10

[34] Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

[35] But in every nation he that fears him, and works righteousness, is accepted with him.

Works righteousness - same as above, Deut.6 [25]

[36] The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Yeshua the Messiah: (he is Lord of all:)

[37] That word, I say, you know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;

We publish the word through signs, advertisement and our website.

[38] How God anointed Yeshua of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

[39] And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

[40] Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

[41] Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

[42] And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

[43] To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Acts 5

[31]Yeshua had God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Acts 20

[21] Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

2 Pet. 3

[9] Yehovah is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance

Deut.4

[29] … if from thence you shall seek Yehovah your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Deut.10

[12] And now, Israel, what does Yehovah your God require of you, but to fear Yehovah your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

[13] To keep the commandments of Yehovah, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good.

Lev.19 [34] But the stranger that dwells with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am Yehovah your God.

Luke 10

[27] … you shalt love Yehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as thyself.

After reading these verses above, it may seem appropriate or fitting  to confess or pray something like this, or similar to God, here is an example:

My Lord and my God have mercy upon my soul a sinner, wash all my sins away in your precious blood you shed for me.

I confess with my mouth that Yeshua the Messiah is God and that he died on the cross for my sins.

I believe in my heart that God the father rose up Yeshua from the dead on the third day by the power of the Holy Spirit.

And now he sits in the heavens and knows everything that I do.

Today, I am going forward to keep all your commandments and learn the Bible.

I dedicate my life to you my Lord, to love God, and to serve Yehovah my God with all my heart and with all my soul for the rest my life here on earth.

My wife and I prayed and dedicated our lives to God 23 years ago.

We still continue today learning and growing in God, it never ends.

Luke 24

[47] And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in Yeshua’s name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Matt.24

[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come

In closing for today:

Forgiveness of sins is the most important thing you can do, before you meet the Lord.

Col.1 [14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
