שָׁלוֹם
Today, we sadly use the
Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s.
Today is September 30,
2023
Yehovah has His own calendar which is deleted from the world
God’s calendar - ha ethanim day 14
This evening starts the
Feast of Tabernacles, the
seventh month, ha ethanim
day 15
הָאֵתָנִים - ha Ethanim
October 1 to 8, Sunday to Sunday will be the Feast of Tabernacles
1Kgs.8 [2] … all the men of Israel assembled
themselves unto King Solomon at the feast in the
month ha Ethanim, which is the seventh month
Lev.23 [34] Speak unto the children of Israel,
saying, the fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be
the feast of tabernacles for
seven days unto Yehovah.
[39] Also in the
fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the
land, you shall keep a feast unto Yehovah seven days:
on the first day shall be a
Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.
October -- the eighth month, ha, now it is
the 10 month
Middle English octobre
Latin October
Latin octo "eight"
+ -ber
(adj. suffix)
Latin october mensis "eighth month"
October has always
had 31 days.
Today's topic:
God’s Sabbath(s)
[1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all
the host of them.
[2] And on the seventh day God
ended his work which he had made; and he
rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
[3] And God blessed the seventh
day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his
work which God created and made.
Exod.31
[13] Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths you shall keep: for it is a sign between
me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am Yehovah that does sanctify you.
[14] You shall keep
the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for
whosoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
[15] Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to Yehovah: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
[16] Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their
generations, for a perpetual
covenant.
[17] It is a sign
between me and the children of Israel for ever:
for in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth,
and on the seventh day he rested,
and was refreshed.
Yeshua / Jesus said:
Many years ago I looked up a few calendars,
Hellenic calendar, Roman calendar, Julian calendar introduced in 45 BC., the Gregorian calendar,
introduced in 1582, and 441 years
later in 2023 we
still use today contains modifications from that of the Julian calendar.
Their months may have different amounts of
days, but the 7th day was always the same, Sabbath
The word Sabbath is "60 times" in the Gospels and letters
Question: So why are we here today?
Answer: We were told to remember the Sabbath Day to
keep it holy
The Sabbath is the 4th
Commandment and part of the “covenant” given to us at Mount Sinai in the 3rd month,
Sivan
Ex. 20 [8] Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[9] Six days shalt thou labour, and
do all thy work:
[10] But the seventh day is
the Sabbath of Yehovah thy God: in it
thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy
son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor
thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[11] For in six days Yehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that
in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yehovah blessed
the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.
Lev. 23 [1] And Yehovah spake unto Moses, saying,[2]
Speak unto the children of Israel, and
say unto them,
Concerning the
feasts of Yehovah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.
[3] Six days shall work be
done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of Yehovah in all your dwellings.
Within your gates - in
all your dwellings
Unto this day, some
people are still breaking the 4th commandment each week by not keeping the Sabbath as it is described above.
