Shabbat Shalom again

Today we are still using the Gregorian calendar from Pope Gregory; from the 1500’s

June 22, 2024

June -- Juno's month

Latin Junius mensis "month of Juno"

Junius had 30 days, until Numa when it had 29 days, until Julius when it became 30 days long.

Juno is the principle goddess of the Roman Pantheon. She is the goddess of marriage and the well-being of women. She is the wife and sister of Jupiter. She is identified with the Greek goddess Hera.

We acknowledge Yehovah’s calendar, the third month, Sivan

Esth.8 [9Then were the king's scribes called at that time in the third month, that is, the month Sivanסִיוָן

 Today’s Topic:

Messiah the Prince

מָשִׁיחַ נָגִיד

The true Messiah had to come before the temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Roman general, Titus.

This fact is of great significance. The temple has NOT been rebuilt since its destruction in 70 A.D.

Messiah had to come to the second Temple

Here are some Scriptures:

Hag.2 [6] For thus said Yehovah of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
[7] And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, said Yehovah of hosts.

[8] The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, said Yehovah of hosts.
[9] The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, said Yehovah of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, said Yehovah of hosts.

Mal.3 [1] Behold, I (the Father) will send my messenger (John the Baptist), and he shall prepare the way before Me (Messiah) and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom you delight in: behold, he shall come, said Yehovah of hosts.

The public entry of Yeshua into Jerusalem and into the temple that was   recorded was both prearranged and predicted by Yehovah.

They were perfectly fulfilled in the gospels when Yeshua went into the Temple.

Here is Mathew. 21

[12] And Yeshua went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
[13] And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

[14] And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he Yeshua healed them.

Anyone who professed themselves to be the Messiah that was born or died before or after these dates prophesied by Daniel or the gospels would be an impostor, because the Messiah had to be born and to die on these exact dates.

Daniel 9:24

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

The “seventy weeksthat are prophetically determined for Israel and the holy city are a period of 490 years.

Here is the prediction:

Dan. 9:25-26

“Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the  Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

To build the Temple - 49 years + 434 years = 483 years

The real Messiah had to come 483 years after a specific date in Daniel’s time

  וְאַחֲרֵי הַשָּׁבֻעִים שִׁשִּׁים וּשְׁנַיִם יִכָּרֵת מָשִׁיחַ (Dan. 9:26)

And after 62 - threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself…

and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary” 70 AD Titus?

The Hebrew word translated as “weeks” in the Scripture (Dan. 9:25-26) means “sevens” and is used to mean seven years, as when Jacob served his weeks for his wives:

Example:

Gen. 29:[26] And Laban said, It must not be so done in our country, to give the younger before the firstborn.
[27] Fulfill her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which you shall serve with me yet seven other years.
[28] And Jacob did so, and fulfilled her week: and he gave him Rachel his daughter to wife also.
[29] And Laban gave to Rachel his daughter Bilhah his handmaid to be her maid.
[30] And he went in also unto Rachel, and he loved also Rachel more than Leah, and served with him yet seven other years.

Here in this chapter below is a brief summary of some prophecies fulfills in Messiah Yeshua:

Isaiah Chapter 53 - Yeshua - Salvation

Over 50 references of a man are made in this chapter.

Isa.53

[1] Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of Yehovah revealed?

[2] For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

[3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from himhe was despised, and we esteemed him not.

[4] Surely he hath borne our grieves, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

[5] But he was wounded for our transgressionshe was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

[6] All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and Yehovah had laid on him the iniquity of us all.
[7He
was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouthhe is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.
[8He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living:
for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
[9] And he made his grave with the wicked and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
[10] Yet it pleased Yehovah to bruise him; he had put him to grief: when you shall make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yehovah shall prosper in his hand.
[11He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge
shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
[12] Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

And some of Pss.22:

[1] My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

Matt.27 [46] And about the ninth hour Yeshua cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

Back to Pss.22:

[6] But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

[7] All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head saying,

[8] He trusted on Yehovah that he would deliver him: let Him deliver him, seeing He delighted in him.

[13] They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

[14] I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

[15] My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaves  to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

[16] For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

John.19 [34] But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

[37] And again another scripture said, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Zech.12 [10] And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Back to Pss.22

[17] I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

[18] They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Matt.27 [35] And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

There are many prophesies in TaNaK (known as the Old Testament today) and many of them were fulfilled the four Gospels.

Yeshua is the Messiah - is only one man in the history of the world has had explicit details given beforehand of His birth, His life, His death, and His resurrection.

These scriptures which were given to the public centuries before Messiah appeared, and no one challenges, or can challenge the fact that these scriptures were widely circulated long before His birth in the gospels.

These prophecies prove that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, for unaided man is neither capable of writing nor fulfilling such a spiritual wonder down through the years.

These prophecies prove that the God of the Bible, the only one who knows the end from the beginning.

Isa. 46 [9] Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else;

I am God, and there is none like me,

[10] Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure…

The God of the Bible, Yehovah only has the power to fulfill all His Word, is the only true and living God.

It proves that Yehovah, God of the Bible is both all-knowing, able to foretell the future entwined around mankind who are of free will.

God is all-powerful, able to bring to pass a perfect fulfillment of His Word in the midst of widespread unbelief, ignorance, and rebellion on the part of mankind.

It also proves that the TaNaK predictions, prophecies pertaining to the Messiah were so perfectly and completely fulfilled in the Gospels.

Yeshua is indeed the Messiah, the Savior of the world, the Son, the Word of the living God made flesh.

Here are a few scriptures pertaining to our God:

Isa.40

[1] Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, said your God.
[2] Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she had received of Yehovah's hand double for all her sins.

[3] The voice of him that cry’s in the wilderness, Prepare you the way of Yehovah, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
[4] Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain:
[5] And the glory of Yehovah shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of Yehovah had spoken it.

Messiah was revealed

Mark.1

[1] The beginning of the gospel of Yeshua the Messiah, the Son of God;

[2] As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which shall prepare your way before thee.

Mal.3 [1] Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to this temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, said Yehovah of hosts

Back to Mark.1

[3] The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
[4] John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. John the Baptist

Back to Isa.40

[6] The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry?

All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
[7] The grass withers, the flower fades: because the spirit of Yehovah blows upon it: surely the people is grass.

[8] The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

[9] O Zion, that brings good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that brings good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!

[10] Behold, the Lord Yehovah will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.

[11] He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

[12] God had measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

[13] Who had directed the Spirit of Yehovah, or being his counselor hath taught him?

[14] With who took God counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge and stowed to him the way of understanding?

[15] Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he takes up the isles as a very little thing.
[16] And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering.

[17] All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.

[18] To whom then will you liken God?

Or what likeness will ye compare unto him?

[19] The workman melts a graven image, and the goldsmith spreads it over with gold, and casts silver chains.

[20] He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooses a tree that will not rot; he seeks unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image that shall not be moved.

[21]

Have you not known?

Have ye not heard?

Had it not been told you from the beginning?

Have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth?

[22] It is he, God that sits upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in:

[23] That brings the princes to nothing; he makes the judges of the earth as vanity.

[24]

Yea, they shall not be planted;

yea, they shall not be sown:

yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth:

and God shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble.

[25] to who then will you compare Me to or shall I be equal said the Holy One?

[26] Lift up your eyes on high, and behold God had created these things that brings out their host by number: he calls them all by names by the greatness of His might, for that He is strong in power; not one fails.

Pss.147 [4] He tells the number of the stars; he calls them all by their names.

Back to Isa.40

[27] Why do you say O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, My way is hid from Yehovah, and my judgment is passed over from my God?

[28] Have you not known?

Have you not heard that the everlasting God Yehovah the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary?

There is no searching of his understanding.

[29] God gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength.

[30] Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
[31] But they that wait upon Yehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

In closing for today,

This a small study to prove Yeshua in the only Messiah from the scriptures.

As John put it many years ago:

John 20 [31] … these are written, that you might believe that Yeshua in the Messiah, the Son of God; and that believing you might have life through His name.

May God bless you all today and forever
