More prophecies
Last week I did a talk on some prophecies in
the scriptures, so I thought I would follow it up with a few other chapters today.
[1] Who had believed our
report? And to whom is the arm of Yehovah revealed?
[2] For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out
of a dry ground: he had no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him,
there is no beauty that we should desire him.
[3] He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted
with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we
esteemed him not.
[4] Surely he had borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did
esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
[5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we
are healed.
[6] All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his
own way; and Yehovah had laid on him the iniquity of us all.
[7] He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth:
he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is
dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Yehovah
[8] He was taken from
prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut
off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he
stricken.
[9] And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his
death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
[10] Yet it pleased Yehovah to bruise him; he had put him to grief: when
you said make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall
prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yehovah shall prosper in his hand.
[11] He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by
his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their
iniquities.
[12] Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall
divide the spoil with the strong; because he had poured out his soul unto
death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.
Pss.22
[1] My God, my God, why hast you forsaken me? why are
you so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
[2] O my God, I cry in the daytime, but you hearest not; and in the
night season, and am not silent.
[3] But you are holy, O you that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
[4] Our fathers trusted in you: they trusted, and you didst deliver
them.
[5] They cried unto you, and were delivered: they trusted in you, and
were not confounded.
[6] But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the
people.
[7] All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they
shake the head saying,
[8] He trusted on Yehovah that he would deliver
him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.
[9] But you are he that took me out of the womb: you
didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts.
[10] I was cast upon you from the womb: you are my God from my mother's
belly.
[11] Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.
[12] Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me
round.
[13] They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring
lion.
[14] I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my
heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
[15] My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to
my jaws; and you hast brought me into the dust of death.
[16] For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of
the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.
[17] I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
[18] They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.
[19] But be not you far from me, Yehovah: O my strength, haste you to
help me.
[20] Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the
dog.
[21] Save me from the lion's mouth: for you hast heard me from the horns
of the unicorns.
[22] I will declare your name unto my brethren: in the midst of the
congregation will I praise you.
[23] You that fear Yehovah, praise him; all you the seed of Jacob,
glorify him; and fear him, all you the seed of Israel.
[24] For he had not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the
afflicted; neither had he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he
heard.
[25] My praise shall be of you in the great congregation: I will pay my
vows before them that fear him.
[26] The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise Yehovah that
seek him: your heart shall live forever.
[27] All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto Yehovah: and
all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before you.
[28] For the kingdom is Yehovah's: and he is the governor among the
nations.
[29] All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they
that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own
soul.
[30] A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a
generation.
[31] They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people
that shall be born, that he had done this.
Some verses
maybe from last week, I will read a few today:
It is,
it was written

of Yehovah doth man live.

the precept of men:

remain all night upon the tree, but you said in any wise bury him
that day; ( for he that is hanged is accursed of God ;) that your

1Pet.1 [16] Because it is written, Be you holy; for I am holy.
Lev.20[7] Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be you holy: for I am [Yehovahyour
God.
It was written
Luke.4 [17] And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
[18] The Spirit of Yehovah is upon me, because he had anointed
me to preach the gospel to the poor; he had sent me to heal the brokenhearted,
to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to
set at liberty them that are bruised,[19] To preach the acceptable year
of Yehovah.
Isa.61[1] The Spirit of Yehovah is
upon me; because Yehovah had anointed me to preach good tidings unto the
meek; he had sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the
captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;[2 ] To proclaim
the acceptable year of Yehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to
comfort all that mourn;
[3] To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for
ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of
heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting
of Yehovah, that he might be glorified.
John.2[17] And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal
of thine house had eaten me up.

In the scriptures
Matt.21[42] Yeshua said unto them, Did you never read in the scriptures , The
stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner:
this is Yehovah's doing,
and it is marvelous in our eyes?
Pss.118 [22] The stone which
the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.[23] This is Yehovah's doing; it
is marvelous in our eyes.
Matt.26[54] But how then shall the
scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? [56]
But all this was done, that the
scriptures of the prophets might be
fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.
