Todays Topic:
Judgment
In torah, some
scriptures with the word Judgment
Exod.21 [1] Now these are the judgments which you shall
set before them
Please read the
whole chapter
Exod.23 [1] You shall not
raise a false report: put not your hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous
witness.
[2] You shall not follow a multitude to do evil; neither
shall you speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest / pervert judgment:
[3] Neither shall you countenance / to honor a poor man in his cause.
[4] If you meet your enemy's ox or his ass going astray,
you shall surely bring it back to him again.
[5] If you see the ass of him that hates you lying under his burden, and
would forbear to help him, you shall surely help with him.
[6] You shall not wrest / pervert the judgment of your poor in his
cause.
[7] Keep you far from a false matter; and the innocent and
righteous slay you not: for I will not justify the wicked.
[8] And you shall take no gift / bribe: for the gift / bribe blinds
the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.
[9] Also you shall not oppress a stranger: for you know the heart of a
stranger, seeing you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
Exod.24 [1] And he said
unto Moses, Come up unto Yehovah, you,
and Aaron, Nadab,
and Abihu,
and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship you afar off.
[2] And Moses alone shall come near Yehovah:
but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.
[3] And Moses came
and told the people all the words of Yehovah, and
all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All
the words which Yehovah had said will we do.
[4] And Moses wrote all the words
of Yehovah,
and rose
up early in the morning, and builded an
altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of
Israel.
Lev.18 [4] You shall do my judgments,
and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am Yehovah
your God.
[5] You shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments:
which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am Yehovah.
[26] You shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments,
and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation,
nor any stranger that sojourneth
among you:
Lev.19 [15] You shall do no
unrighteousness in judgment: you shall not respect the person of
the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty:
but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.
[35] You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.
36] Just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall you have: I am Yehovah your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
[37] Therefore shall you observe all my statutes, and all
my judgments, and do them: I am Yehovah.
Lev.20 [22] You
shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do
them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue
you not out.
Lev.25 [18] Wherefore you
shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and you
shall dwell in the land in safety.
40
years later:
Deut.1 [17] You shall not respect persons in judgment;
but you shall hear the small as well as the great; you shall not be afraid of
the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that
is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.
Deut.4 [1] Now therefore
hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you,
for to do them, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which Yehovah
God of your fathers giveth you.
[5] Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments,
even as Yehovah
my God commanded me, that you should do so in the
land whither you go to possess it.
[8] And what nation is there so great, that had statutes
and judgments so righteous as
all this law, which I set before you this day?
[14] And Yehovah
commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that
you might do them in the land whither you go over to possess it.
[45] These are the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments,
which Moses spake unto the children of Israel,
after they came forth out of Egypt,
Deut.5 [1] And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear,
O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears
this day, that you may learn them, and keep, and do them.
Deut.6 [1] Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the
judgments, which Yehovah your God commanded to
teach you, that you might do them in the land whither you go to possess it:
[2] That you might fear Yehovah your
God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, you,
and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your days
may be prolonged.
Deut.7
[11] You
shall therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments,
which I command you this day, to do them.
[12] Wherefore it shall come to pass, if you hearken to these judgments,
and keep, and do them, that Yehovah your
God shall keep unto you the covenant and the mercy which he sware
unto your fathers:
[13] And he will love you, and bless you, and multiply you: he will also
bless the fruit of your womb, and the fruit of your land, your corn, and your
wine, and thine
oil, the increase of your kine, and the
flocks of your sheep, in the land which he sware
unto your fathers to give you.
[14] You shall be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or
female barren among you, or among your cattle.
[15] And Yehovah will take away from you
all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you know,
upon you; but will lay them upon all them that hate
you.
Deut.8 [11] Beware that you forget not Yehovah
your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and
his statutes, which I command you this day
Deut.11 [1] Therefore you shall love Yehovah
your God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his
commandments, alway.
Deut.16 [18] Judges and officers shall you make you in all your
gates, which Yehovah your God giveth
you, throughout your tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment.
[19] You shall not wrest / pervert judgment; you
shall not respect persons, neither take a gift:
for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the
righteous.
Deut.17
[8] If there arise
a matter too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood,
between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of
controversy within your gates: then shall you arise, and get you up into the
place which Yehovah your God shall choose;
[9] And you shall come unto the priests the Levites,
and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and inquire; and they shall shew
you the sentence of judgment:
[10] And you shall do according to the sentence, which they
of that place which Yehovah shall
choose shall show you; and you shall observe to do according to all that they
inform you:
[11] According to the sentence of the law which they shall
teach you, and according to the judgment which they shall tell you, you shall
do: you shall not decline from the sentence which they shall shew
you, to the right hand, nor to the left.
[12] And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not
hearken unto the priest that standeth to
minister there before Yehovah your
God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and you shall put away the
evil from Israel.
Deut.25 [1] If there be a
controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the
judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the
wicked.
Deut.26 [16] This day Yehovah
your God had commanded you to do these statutes and judgments: you
shall therefore keep and do them with all thine
heart, and with all your soul.
[17] You hast avouched Yehovah
this day to be your God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and
his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
Deut.27 [19] Cursed be he that perverts the judgment of
the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.
Deut.32 [1] Give ear, O you heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O
earth, the words of my mouth.
[2] My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the
dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:
[3] Because I will publish the name of Yehovah:
ascribe you greatness unto our God.
[4] He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
Some verses from
the Gospels and letters:
Matt.5 [21] You have heard
that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt
not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
[22] But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause
shall be in danger of the judgment:
and whosoever
shall say to his brother, Raca / senseless, empty headed, shall be in danger of the
council: but whosoever shall say, you
fool / godless, shall be in danger of hell fire.
Matt.7 [2] For with what judgment you
judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete,
it shall be measured to you again.
Matt.12 [18] Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in
whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to
the Gentiles.
[19] He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
[20] A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax
shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
[21] And in his name shall the Gentiles trust
[36] But I say unto you, That
every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the
day of judgment.
[41] The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with
this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of
Jonah; and, behold, a greater than Jonah is here.
[42] The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with
this generation, and shall condemn it:
for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom
of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
John.5 [22] For the Father judges no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
[23] That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor
the Father. He that honoureth not
the Son honors not the Father which had
sent him.
[27] And hath given him authority to execute judgment also,
because he is the Son of man.
[28] Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the
which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
[29] And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the
resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of
damnation.
[30] I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge:
and my judgment is just;
because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John.7 [24] Judge not according to the
appearance but judge, righteous judgment.
John.9 [39]
And Yeshua said, For judgment I am come into
this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see
might be made blind.
John.12 [31]
Now
is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
[32] And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all
men unto me.
[33] This he said, signifying what death he should die.
John.16 [7]
Nevertheless
I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not
away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him
unto you.
[8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment:
[9] Of sin, because they believe not on me;
[10] Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you see me no
more;
[11]
Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
Rom.1 [21] Because that,
when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but
became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible
God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted
beasts, and creeping things.
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through
the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:
[25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served
the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.
Amen.
[26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections:
for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
[27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
[32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that
they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but
have pleasure in them that do them
Rom.14 [10] But why dost thou judge thy brother? or
why dost thou set at nought thy
brother? for
we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Messiah.
[11] For it is
written, As I live, saith
the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
[12] So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Isa.45 [23] I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my
mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall
bow, every tongue shall swear.
1Cor.1 [10] Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Yeshua
Messiah, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions
among you; but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in
the same judgment.
2Cor.5 [10]
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Messiah;
that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he
hath done, whether
it be good or bad.
Heb.9 [27]
And
as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Heb.10 [26]
For if we sin willfully after
that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more
sacrifice for sins,
[27] But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
[28] He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under
two or three witnesses:
[29] Of
how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy,
who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and
hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy
thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
[30] For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will
recompense, saith Yehovah.
And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
[31]
It is a fearful thing to fall
into the hands of the living God.
Jas.2 [13] For he shall
have judgment without mercy, that hath showed no mercy; and
mercy rejoices against judgment.
1Pet.4 [17] For the time is come that judgment must begin at the
house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them
that obey not the gospel of God?
2Pet.2 [3] And through covetousness shall they with feigned words
make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth
not, and their damnation slumbereth
not.[4] For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down
to hell, and delivered them into chains
of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment
[9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver
the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished
2Pet.3 [7] But the heavens and the earth, which are now,
by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and
perdition of ungodly men.
Rev.14 [7] Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to
him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him
that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
Rev.15 [4] Who shall not
fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only
art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments
are made manifest.
Rev.16 [7] And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord
God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.
Rev.19 [1] And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Hallelu Yah Praise Yah; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and
power, unto the Lord our God:
[2] For true and righteous are
his judgments: for he had judged the great whore, which did corrupt the
earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her
hand.
[3] And again they said, Hallelu Yah Praise Yah.
And
her smoke rose up for ever and ever.
[4] And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell
down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Hallelu Yah Praise Yah.
[5] And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all you his
servants, and you that fear him, both small and great.
[6] And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the
voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings,
saying, Hallelu Yah Praise Yah: for the Lord God
omnipotent reigns.
[7] Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for
the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his
wife hath made herself ready.
We are commanded by God - Learn not the way of the heathen
Jer.10 [2] Thus said Yehovah, Learn not the way of the heathen , and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.
The customs of the people are vain
[3] For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. [4] They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not.
***Breaking News did you know,
In 1647, the Puritan-led
English Parliament banned the celebration of Christmas, replacing it with a day
of fasting and considering it "a popish festival with no biblical
justification", and a time of
wasteful and immoral behavior
Once upon a time, Christmas was banned in
1659 in the new land know as America
In
closing for today:
We
shall all stand before the judgment seat
of Messiah.
Let nothing or no one separate you from the Living God of Israel
