Oct. 14, 2006 - Seventh Month ( Ha Ethanim ) 20th day
Sunday night at sundown ( all day Monday, Oct. 16th ) is a Shabbaton - ( solemn assembly )
Lev.23[33] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,[34] Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD.[35] On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.[36] Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.[36] Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.
[39] Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath
.
Num.29[ 35] On the eighth day ye shall have a solemn assembly: ye shall do no servile work therein:
Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous
Pss.33
[1] Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely
for the upright.
Pss.97
[12] Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at
the remembrance of his holiness.
Lev.23
[40] And ye shall
take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees,
and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and
ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven
days.
Neh.8[1
] And all the people gathered themselves together as
one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto
Ezra the scribe to bring the book of
the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to
Israel.
[13] And on
the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people,
the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the
words of the law.[14] And
they found written in the law which the LORD had commanded
by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths in the feast of
the seventh month:[15
] And that they should publish and proclaim in all their
cities, and in Jerusalem, saying, Go forth unto the mount, and fetch olive
branches, and pine branches, and myrtle branches, and palm branches, and branches
of thick trees, to make booths, as it is written.[16
] So the people went forth, and brought them, and made
themselves booths, every one upon the roof of his house, and in their courts,
and in the courts of the house of God, and in the street of the water gate,
and in the street of the gate of Ephraim.[17
] And all the congregation of them that were come again
out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days
of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done
so. And there was very great gladness
.
Why rejoice?
Deut.16 [12] And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman
in Egypt: ( old man of sin ) God delivered us.
Isa.43
[25] I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own
sake, and will not remember thy sins.
Our Sukkah is a shadow of our future Home
Rev.21[
3] And I heard a great voice
out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God
is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and
God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Isa.65
[17] For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall
not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Isa.66
[22] For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall
remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
2Pet.3
[13] Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and
a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Rev.21
[1] And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the
first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
It is all about Messiah who
has eternal life
Matt.19[
16] And, behold, one came and
said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I
do, that I may have eternal life?
Matt.25[
46] And these shall go away
into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into
life eternal.
John.12[
25] He that loveth his life
shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto
life eternal.
John.17[
3] And this is
life eternal, that they might know
thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent
John.3[
15] That whosoever
believeth in him ( Messiah ) should
not perish, but have eternal life.
John.5[
39] Search
the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they
which testify of me, Messiah.
John.6[
54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and
drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
[68] Then Simon
Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal
life.
John.10[
28] And I give unto them eternal
life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of
my hand.
1John.5[
11] And this is the record,
that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life
is in his Son. [12
] He
that hath the Son hath life; and
he that hath not the Son of God
hath not life.[13
] These things have I written unto you that believe on
the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye
have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name
of the Son of God.
[20] And we
know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that
we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son
Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life
.
My sabbaths ye shall keep: for
it is a sign
Exod.31[
13] Speak thou also unto the
children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall
keep: for it is a sign
between me and you throughout your generations; that ye
may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. [
14] Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it
is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death:
for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among
his people.[15] Six days may
work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD:
whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.[
16] Wherefore the children of
Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations,
for a perpetual covenant.[17
] It is a sign
between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in
six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested,
and was refreshed.
